There was a line from,an old-timely poem-- The mills of the Gods grind fine but they grind exceedingly slow I told relative sharing this gem with me- I am not a sack of flour I am a people. Suspect that was to tell me to relax and be patient, well I was born without patience and very hungry . Not,much changed in my life since!

And also thrush? Your weaker immune system might have allowed it to move in and florish. Sjogren's on the othe hand is an auto-immune syndrome, a member of the arthritis family who often co- exists with its well known cousin with the better PR coverage. And in my long long lifetime at different times I gave been diagnosed with all 3.👉😪👈

Feeling depressed and unable to drink.
Frustr8 replied to jrsone's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hey this brings to a question. Yes I. could ask PCP but I won't see him until July 2nd when I accomply my son to his 6 moth checkup for something else. My mother suffered from reoccurring laryngitis and swallowing difficulties the final years of her life. Remember she was on a mechanical soft diet in her long-term care facility. Is this a tendancy I should, tell my PCP about? Could this be something inheritable or just something that happens with increasing age?😳 -
@BeeCat welcome to REAL LIFE and all its subtleties. Years and years ago there was a song" These foolish things remind me of you" and it is a frequent occurance, sometimes you see someone, smell a certain oder, even a musical one on I had transformed a portion of unfiinished basement into me a SheCave. Flash flood came, took most of my stuff away.

So you are a bono fide Georgia peach. Georgia always seems like Sleepy Time Down South. which,i quite a miss-nomer because Atlanta has become a very happening place. Seems like every, time I turn around. people are flying through Hartsfield-Jackson on their way to somewhere else.😝

Maybe blown glass and,it will start to explode in teeny tiny shards. Not a happy place .not a healthy situation. I hope and, dare I say, pray? it gets better and better soon. Are you back down to broths and soups yet? Or are you just playing it by ear?😪 -
Love this one, neat to have a loose suit! Around here the statement" You're half the woman you used to be" is a compliment!😝

Did they provide you with an "expected" weight loss
Frustr8 replied to joei0005's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If I had listened to Surgeon#1 I would be heading for 134, maybe soon it will register with him that karma is a female sign I doubt,it, for he is so wrapped in himself it is a wonder he can find time to perform surgeries. Happy I got a divorce from his practice and moved on to one where I matter, they are committed to my success as well as all their others currently. Thier pre and post supports are good, they are accessible and also very people there. They agree with me on 175 pounds and within a year or 18 months I have committed to be there. I think 175 on a 5ft8in body will be **** fine!🙋 -
To Wait Until Later or To Do Surgery Now?

No more diets to die with, just new and better habits to live with. And a firm belief I can achieve them. I trust me as I have, not, been able to trust others!😝❤😝 -

Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies Check In Here!
Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
After almost 3 years of trying OSU-Wexner Medical center will be granting me a Day of Rebirth July 2018 with Bradley Needleman MD presiding. Scared? Heck No! Any fears drowned in tears long ago. And I read and re-read other people's postings. Some fears border on Silly! "They will take my patient gown off and I'll be laying there nekkid!" Aw, come on! They wil have my abdomen blown up to mega-watermelon size with CO2 gas. Am I supposed to worry that the curtains match carpeting? FYI if ANYONE is curious, they do. I may. be 72 but I never grayed anywhere. "I may talk going under or coming out of anesthesia" Naw it isnt going to happen. Now me , I am liable to give a valedictory of Oscar speech " I'd like to thank all the, little people that have brought me thus far" the doctors may say, give her the happy juice and I'm off to lalaland, a tube goes down into my trachea and peace will reign there. And unless you are Donald J Trump, willing to spout nonsense and make things up on the spot, you have nothing to worry about. "They will make fun of my body!" News flash-- they have seen fat women and men before. Unless you have 3 breasts or 3 testes, you won't be an object of conversation. I do have 3 of something, 3 kidneys, but unless Dr N decided on the spur of the moment to do an "open " my anomaly won't be on plain view. And if he had to, which I doubt, laps are much quicker, more easy on him and,me,and smoother to heal from. That said, I already had and healed from an abdominal incision, so no biggie. And if he judged that it was needed, go for it. Every surgeon worth his or her salt can do them, they just take longer. More often or not, at that point you're as interesting as a bashed up tractor. You, too needed their mechanic talent, they'll leave you firing on all the necessary cylinders before they are done. So I plan to rock it with all I've got, one surgery, one recovery, one better life. And isn't that the bottom Line of why we are here?❤😝❤ -
Senior Moment: Does age matter?
Frustr8 replied to nomoe52's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Think you're too old? now that would be a sin We still can fight some battles And this time, we will win. There are journeys to undertake At least we can drive and Fly And if we can't cater all the reception We can give it the old college try Too late to be making changes? I'm sure that's not true I've got surgery coming up in July At the Ohio State University Hospital An RnY bypass at the age of 72. So at 66 your surgery can happen, Yes it truly will come to pass So no reservations, just remember We are the Baby Boomers, we do things with CLASS! ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,😜Frstr8.......... -

Anxious - Lonely - No Friends to Support My Journey
Frustr8 replied to Born in Missouri's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
now I'm curious also. By the time one enters my decade of life, one has disposed of :gall bladder, appendix, tonsils adenoids. a breast or 2, a kidney or OMG 2 and most if not all of your female organs. And a hip, 1 or 2 knees, and even maybe an ankle fused. Fair to say, every thing has been removed or surgically stabelized, and here you are knocking on the front door of the BAriatric God's begging to have your gastrointestinal system monkeyed with. And that is the portrait I see being painted.🎆 -
Mourning the person you saw in the mirror
Frustr8 replied to CaribeRidge's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
My current appearance, well I have started losing weight in my face, so I don't look so fat faced, but I think my skin tone is off, maybe been persuing Bariatrics and the ensuing, diets so long I do not think. I look healthy, maybe it is age , maybe I look mildly bilious like my poor liver, which is probably NASH because my BMI is teetering, just below 50, is starting to chant,"No Mas" like a tired Latino boxer. Don't have a gall bladder, haven't for 34.5 years, pray my pancreas is sleeping nicely, one bout of acute pancreatitis will do me forever. -

Heading to the hospital

Well what I know about Arctic Chill PreSurgery drink, yeah strange what I do know, it is clear, contains 50mg of complex carbohydrates derivied from corn maltodexrin, has Zinc and selenium in it. Odd way back in the olden days when I first studied chemistry all they thought was selenium turned glass a pretty red color. Now we know it has value in our diet. Article Chill clear is easier on b your presurg tummy, helps with insulin resistance and your post surg recovery. And Abbott Labs, the nice folks that brewed up this concoction has their offices in Columbus Ohio, close to to where I live. 🍶 Best wishes, prayers and hopes for a beautiful future the13th and onward through your life😝 -
I really liked the idea of a Phoenix, a bird rising from the ashes of my,past and flying on shining iridescent, wings into the futures Doesn't have to be large, not looking for a sleeve, maybe on the inside of my left wrist. The ancients used to believe the left arm and especially the left ring finger. had an direct, blood vessel link to the heart. And if I didn't have the lymphadema poor circulation in my lower limbs I would have,a small angel with my son Kevin' s birth and death dates on either side . Somewhat like 5-7-1976👼1-11-2008. done form me, not necessarily for the world to see. My spirit animal would be,the bumblebee. If you think that borders on strange, let me explain. The little bumblebee 🐝is aerodynamically impossible. His little wings are too short to hold up his fat body. Nut no one ever told him this so he keeps flying until the day he dies. That's me, no one told me I didn't deserve Bariatric surgery, well a few did try, they were wrong on other things so I figured they were in error here too. So I fly or plod onward toward the goal, making a loud buzzing noise so they know I'm coming. And my wings beat a syncopated rhythm against the fog and pollution of life.🐝
