To tell or not to tell father about vsg?
Frustr8 replied to DiamondintheRough's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Didn't your father raise you to be strong, self-reliant, able to stand on your own two feet? Congratulations you have made a very adult decision to have to this surgery, as an adult you are under. no obligation to tell him unless he is bankrolling the expedition or you are still on his insurance policy. Then,it might be courtesy to tell him.❤😝❤ -
Peter Pan did not die, he is alive and one of my good friends. He and I are members of the "Never Grow Up" lodge and Nibbles, is one of our newest, inductees. Well not all that new, we sent out an engraved certificate and it got lost. the last time the Donald shut down the National Park Service for monetary deficit. That's one person I hesitate to own in MY generation. But we are proud to award Nibbles a trophy🏆and certificate today

Where are all the 50 something bypass patients?
Frustr8 replied to choosehope's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am not merely a risky 60- I am a plenty of life left 72. Although I can understand some surgeon reluctance , a good portion of it must be SMOA. save my,own a**. pity isn't it? Surgeons should be skillful, competent but most of all courageous. I certainly would not entrust my surgery and chance of a future healthy life to a quivering mound of protoplasm with something running. down his leg and quaking in his surgical boots. Frankly I deserve the best as do all surgical, patients, age should be no consideration. I am healthy as a 45 year old, perhaps healthier than most, I refuse to be set aside as refuse. That is patent age discrimination, if it is not illegal , ethics demand it should be! -
Ain't nutthin' gonna break-a my stride, nobody gonna slow me down. I gotta keep on moving. can't dust me anymore, I'll be moving too fast! 👍😝👍

The mileage
Frustr8 replied to Angela.fontenot50@gmail.com's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Tell me, our Governor, is on a budget cut, seemed like they always are. Dropped many of my benefits December 31sr. Excuse? I make tooo, much, money on Social Security. I was expected to make!$750 a month or less. I do make a little more than that, but not the $100+ I would, have to,pay to go to Columbus our next big town. I am being threatened with eviction because I can't pay my utilities my cable which also provides phone service in a bundle, my household content insurance, my life insurance, pay copays on medication, remember I can't get them totally covered because they think I'm rich, put food on the table and,pay him cash on the,1st when I don't get SS untill later in the month. I had a court case settling from a personal injury, thinking,i would have settlement I robbed myself to,play him one month, then it slowed down, to balance my that month I went to one of those check into cash places, once you borrow from them you can't get free. I have a son living with me, want him here as he is of much help, can't get into over65 place because he is too young, can't get into Metro because they say he is too old to live with me, subsidized housing won't accept my 2 pet cats which no regard as family too. They are indoor cats, I can't put them outside in a doghouse or tie them from a stake. Shoot,i would not even do that to dogs. So I understand Angela's points, I even shuffle along in her house shoes. -
@ peggilyn will be coming to,you, her date was moved into your lovely month.

This is not my first draft, maybe 4th, keeps dropping my message. No not there, I am an Ohio State Buckeye not an Oklahoma State Cowboy. No harm No foul, I do have cousins in Sepulpa, outside of Tulsa. Instead of being a football star, I will receive my own mini-football pouch and go Rny- ing through life. My ESD,mid July I think. When would I like it? How about NOW? They say Patience is a Virtue. I am 72 years old, any virtue and innocence I had dissipated YEARS AGO. I want my blinkety blankety surgery, yes I do!
-
And you are in Florida, @FLREDHEADMOM, correct? Are you having your surgery there?

Tomorrow's the big day!!!
Frustr8 replied to AlteredReality's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
All natural, after all,you are human and I'm sure you have learned plenty snd are really ready but just before you could get an attack of the "what ifs". Just say to yourself that bad thing won't happen. You trust your surgeon, you trust these decisions, go ahead, you are going to be just fine. -
I want a binder, OSU please have a binder ready for me. what size? The standard, hippo or rhino, will do nicely. Your future inductee into bypass-dom. Frustr8,the Fine and Dandy😪

Surgery canceled because of nicotine
Frustr8 replied to AndreaNicole's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Oh my❤ I hope it is merely postponed not forever canceled. You,have come so far,up be abruptly stopped. I, of all people, know how that feels. Don't let this stop you, keep on seeking a way to have it. Your Angel brother would not want you to stop, keep on trying to find a way, and when you do succeed, you will do it in memory and to honor him. (Hugs) -
