Frustr8 replied to Carolinaaa3's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And I am already on mine, Day9, even though my surgery isn't until September 5th, I am doing 4+ weeks, according to studies my,liver will be 12% smaller and leaner from when this diet started. That should rid of. me from the NASH, most obese, have some degree of it from just bring fat. It hasn't been easy but I plan to feel much better after this is over -
Obese since early childhood

And I salute you for your accomplishments. I was a Fat Baby too, 35 inches tall weighing 36 pounds at a year, the size of a 2 1/2 year old. But I will be having, at a young age of 72, a gastric bypass September 5th,at Ohio State University-Wexner Medical Center in Columbus Ohio with my surgeon Dr Needleman presiding, probably have a roomful of peopke, it is a teaching hosputal, he is a full Professor in the Medical College, makes me no never mind, They, can invite the Ohio National Guard in, I just want my surgery, I chose bypass for several reasons, like you a sleeve would not work for me. Not one whit nervous, for I drowned my fears in my tears long ago. Now I just want to get on with life, continue losing, weight and as this day she'll cracks and then, disappears the REAL Frustr8 will shine through. And the world will know what I have known all along, I am a wonderful person to know and be friends with!😛 -
And you have an unknown to you Bariatric Christian God-Aunt in Ohio. One I was blessed with was: Fatty fatty 2by4, no I never made to the 400 someone some on accussed me of being, 355 was enough. You had your baby niece and Uncle moment, I was passing a glass storefront, wearing a skirt I had sewn by hand, oh I thought it was cute, really proud of the cut, the fabric it was made from, dare I say I thought it made me look "cute " and I saw an,aging woman with legs like tree trunks, in a skirt the same color as mine. OMG it's me! In my mind I was just 198 pounds, a big girl but shapely. No I had the shape and size of a very, large Salami. Took myself to my PCP, told him my diet wasn't doing well, could be prescribe me an appetite reducing diet, pill short term. He wrote me script for phenteramine, stopped at the pharmacy. bought myself a notebook so I could record what I was eating, cit my diet back to 1100 calories, cut out carbs, breads, soft drinks, indeed anything sweetened . Journaled everything faithfully, for a month and GAINED 30 pounds. So I started with the Bariatric program he recommended. Went through that program twice(and that also,IS,A STORY) in February,2018 the surgeon decided that,he and his 2 partners, Having raped my insurances to the inth degree, no longer desired to,perform my surgery. So I switched to another program, much nicer people, much better facility where I will receive the RnY surgery I so ernestly desire on September 5th. And you say you were" FatBoy" well I beat you there I was" Fat Baby". I was born back in the day when fat babies were the only healthy babies. And my Mama ,may she rest in peace, faithfully followed her doctors advice. She nursed me, then fed me an 8oz bottle of Carnation milk formula. And I grew and grew, chubby cheeks, pudgy, thighs, I had them all. At the age of 1,I was 35 In tall, 36 pounds, the size of the average 2 1/2 year old. I had fat cells before they even k,ow what to call them. Not a fine legacy, but,i am on my way to disprove to all the naysayers that 72 year, old person can do,this too. And I shall for I am not ready to die, I may have entered life fat but I no longer will be that way and I will be healthier for the remainder of my life. Thank for your inspiration and may you be blessed, now and all of your days.

@ oceanlove not until September 5th and THAT is a Firm Date. No more relax Frustr8 it will be soon. At 7AM, first surgery of the day, Dr Needleman says he wanted me first, that way if anything untoward. happens he's not pressed for time. First, time in my life, someone, gave me preferential treatment, makes me almost cry,to think of it! Found out Green Tealael calls her sleeve SAC for small anatomical change, gave me food for thought. Since I have been trying for 3 years, since August 15 2015 , and honor of all trials and tribulations mine shall be called: Precious Pouch,or Precious for short. Name is almost as big as it will be

Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Having a little trouble on day# 9. I can't go any more than 3 hours without a snack or meal, I get weak and feel like I am going to pass out. Never had diabetes although I should be at risk because of family history. is 1000 calories enough to keep blood sugar up? I'm sitting down don't think,I should do my 15 m8nutes of walking and burn any more of my candle right now. Have other people had this ? I'm on 3-4 shakes , lunch salad, dinner frozen entree⬇300,calories ⬇30 carbs, and I fruit snack, apple, orange , 🍌 or 3/4 c berries unsweetened. And 64+ oz varied liquids, no calorie, no caffeine. -
@ShianneB how did your surgery go today? Seem to remember this is THE DAY.😛

You are a smart crafty dude, I like that in a guy! You are good to have as a friend! Don't ever want to find out what k8nd of an enemy you would be!😛 -
Oh they are going to 💘 me at the border. When they ask me," Do you have anything to declare?" I'll be ready." Your healthcare is better, your prescription prices are better but your bariatric protein shakes are overpriced. I have a cooler-full. Go ahead and look , no pointed objects there!" And perhaps after he picks himself up off the ground he'll let me in. If not he'll push me back across the border to Port Angeles Washington, "Here take her back she's a dangerous individual!"

Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
YLime I just saw a new friend for the summer list. Pure Chicagr had surgery June 12th in South Africa. That's the very 1st South African I've heard of in a long while. I think there was a newbie seeker when I first started, maybe November or December 2017? -
Consultation - questions that should be asked?
Frustr8 replied to mrswifey2008's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Hi @ Cranky Magpie! I just read a study recently that states for every week of liver-shrinking diet your liver diminishes 2.4% in size. I figured for the length of diet I'm doing now, my liver will be 12% smaller for my RnY surgery September 5th. I think those are pretty cool stats.😛 -

Do any of the bypass folks with they'd gone with a sleeve?
Frustr8 replied to SarcasticGastric's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Okay I see Green Tealael calls her sleeve Sac short for small anatomical change. Well shall I name my future pouch? I've been thinking, since I have been struggling to receive Bariatric Surgery since August 15 2015, since I will have it,come into existence September 5th,2018, and since it will be of immeasurable value in my life, now and the future. When Dr Needleman creates her with his Bariatric Spaler along with the rest of the Bariatric tools. Her name Shall Be: bb. PRECIOUSPOUCH💰 or just Precious,in daily life
