@Sadie24304 did you feel like the Bariatric Pal was coming to get you? 😛From a distance it sounds hilarious but having to clean it up, you weren't giggling too much, were you? There you are , hungry to the point of hangry and the microwave and oatmeal are conspiring against you! This is the kind of thing that will happen to me too.

any sleevers in their late 50's

And that's not a place of sorrow. In ancient times, when few of uscsurvived that long, we were celebrated as Wise Women, a source of good consul for others. And that makes later life a valuable commodity to experience. At 72. I can testify , Grow old along with Me, the best is yet to be÷

Help! Need to get out of my head. :(

And Ally I too shall post such a card because it is so true. We have to Each be the one who saves Us. In the dark of night, in stormy times, we have to believe in ourselves, and step bravely, into the future. Love and Sunny Days Ahead, ya gotta believe it!

    3 days post op

Still chugging along in my little choo choo 🚂toward surgery. Nothing is going to derail me , I have invested all of August in this miserable Verdompt diet, I am going see it through to the finish. I have a PCP appointment on the 29th, let's see how much weight I've lost, got to be some after all. According to Rick M I have a BMR of 2033, if I'm only taking in 1000 calories daily, some fat has got to be going away. I Hope I Hope So! But like ancient Rome there is still enough of me to be divided in 3 parts.😪
  9. My facility poem? If it does not go through***It's not Stage#2I'll Catchy, isn't it? I wonder if they paid someone good money to come,up with that?

I hope that was a typo, it's 2017 after all. In healthcare we had a premise " toileting,in advance of need" but I doubt any surgeon sleeves patients THAT FAR AHEAD,

    Tomorrow is my sleeve!!

Well I am atypical. You see this is the University I yearned to attend. Money, life and,my family got,in the way. If I could,be back, I would still go, work out funding as I went, not care that my parents, and later, my husband didn't approve and I buckled under, shelved my hopes and that. future died for,my. Still I had my middle child in that hospital, and, cornu as it sounds, I feel like I have come home after a LONG TIME away! Perhaps this is why I feel no anxiety about the surgery upcoming, I feel warm , sheltered and safe there.

    August bypassers/sleevers

On my day(September 5th) I am on a similar time plan, report in at 5 AM, 7AM for ,my surgery. Do me a favor okay? Give your son a little 💘 and attention for me, you see I am a " Spectrum Sister" , although I am on the Asperger end of autism. I have still felt the sorrow of being in a world you can't always understand. When you are not Neuro-typical. you have a different mother-board it functions but we are not wired quite the same! Love to you both from Ohio and me, Your Frustr8😪

    Ordering bridesmaid dress?

Go with the 18 for the reason AEL said above, would have said the same but she beat me to it. If the tailor has to cut it down a lot and I hope so, you might have enough left for a coin purse or clutch!

    August bypassers/sleevers

So head hunger is " Gee that looks good, I wish I could have some!" real hunger is " oooh that hurts, it hurts so bad, I've got to find something healthy to rid myself of this pain and gnawing in my stomach!" sorry but that sounds more like gastritis or an ulcer flare to me! And I have both.😳
  22. Wish my diet mentioned bone and other broths as being allowed, but then maybe, then I'll get sick of them in the post surgery days anyway. I think I'm rebelling against the same blandness and sweet drinks EVERY DAY! I keep quoting the same Bible, verse the, people with post-surgery gas do, " this too will pass", good to know it's not forever but the days creep along, don't they?
  23. All of these first-hand reports do help, I know no matter I wake up someone has been there before, They made it through, I can too, and if you're reading this also, the same goes for you!

    August 2018 sleeve surgery!!

Good reasonable,budget-friendly suggestions. I'm sure we can all find words that m8ght help us there. And as our surgeries draw closer let's play the hands life dealt us, but play them skillfully. And trust things will be smooth, easy and not cause us too much heartache or tears.
