Not to mention the" burn" in your reconstructed stomach, not kind to wounded gastric linings. -
Anyone have full knee replacements prior to bariatric surgery? Any problems later?
Frustr8 replied to Born in Missouri's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I do Green Tealael. My question is whether it's from weight being lost or the fact,i'm taking my Lasix as PCP ordered. I do so hate men telling me what to do even if they have D.O or M.D. after their name. -

GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in The Gals' Room
Well I'm still slogging towards surgery losing a pound here or there. If I am at 320 or a little less at 2 And a half weeks before surgery, when will I break the 300 pound barrier? Will it be right after surgery or a few more weeks down the road? I know I'll feel so proud about ME when I do! -

And never think if you speak another language it is excusable! A story to illustrate my point- My very good friend Martha. Her father was Amish, fell in love and married outside the faith. He was extremely lucky his family didn't totally" shun" him, because they almost always do. At any rate Eli remembered and still honored many of the basic tenets of his former faith. He taught all children respectful actions and the German-Swiss language of his ancestors. Martha worked with me at the local Wal-Mart, a place many of our local Amish patronize. Martha is waiting on 2 Amish women who proceeded to make snide remarks about" the stupid ugly English( Amish term for people outside their faith) girl who was trying to serve them!" Martha had just enough to make her 😠 angry! She said in perfectly spoken German " Thank you very much for your observation, ladies. Shall I give Bishop Yoder, my grandfather, your fine regards?. 2 very embarrased, bright-red faced Amish ladies headed for the front of the store where they could pay for their purchases and leave. Final score Martha 1 Amish Women with loose tongue 0 -
And He Will! He loves us as a Shepherd does, helping the weaker lambs until they can be healed and rejoin the flock. And as He watches over the tiniest sparrow he will watch over our friend until she is whole again! Don't we Serve an Awesome God? Lets agree on this in 🙏prayer!

Well it is Ragweed season in Ohio, I would like to take Roundup to each, and every plant! My worry? Sometimes this kicks. my sinusitis into gear and I fear getting a bacterial superinfection there. Its less than 3 weeks until my Surgery,Day, the culmination of 3 long sorrow-filled years. There,is an implicit threat if you are sick 2 weeks before they may consider postponing your surgery. Can't have that, I'm alreay taking,Zyrtec every night, maybe start taking hot tea? And I already thought to up my Vitamin C. Anybody got a shaman in reserve? In Evangelical church the line is Lift my ____up in prayer! If I say Lift my nose up in prayer, it sounds like I'm asking to be made "stuck-up"! What do I do now?

Anyone have full knee replacements prior to bariatric surgery? Any problems later?
Frustr8 replied to Born in Missouri's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions

Should I cut my hair? (Hair Loss)
Frustr8 replied to AstroCat's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You don't have to chop it yourself, have your chair syled by a professional, they can work with what you have and make it not look raggedy. You are somebody, pamper yourself a little. You can grow it back out later if you want, okay? -
Dealing with those not supportive
Frustr8 replied to pugmom234's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well Jultrim you will be the same Jultrim, nomatter what changes on the outside. Tell him you will be a much better sexual athlete afterwards. The better you can move, the more you can let your emotions flow, And he will be the beneficiary of all this! More mattress mambo, you could possibly set those sheets on 🔥 fire! Most men do grove on this! While we fantasize about love , flowers and beautiful music, men are more elemental and sorry to say simplistic. While we are feeling soft warm loving, feelings their inner, voice is chanting," I'm getting laid, yes yes yes I'm getting laid!" Poor darlings, their wiring is not quite right when it comes to interpersonal relationships! Late husband said "Come on , let's go to bed, we can talk later" he was hoping his prowess would be sufficent that I would forget what I wanted to talk about. It was nice, but I didn't lose my mind after all! Best efforts went to waste but I was too much of a lady to point it out! -
Overheard Staff Joking About My Body
Frustr8 replied to virginiaRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Whew what a nest of hornets were aroused! Be assured you are our sister and we Bariatric Pals protect our own.-Virginia RN. What they did was so ethically wrong, we hate bullies of any kind, that was verbal bullying as well as violating HIPAA. Of all the advice I believe I prefer Orchids and Dragons. If that approach does not work, take it up a step, no surgeon wants his staff to bring discredit,on him, he is very dependant on public opinion, Bad office staff= NO Patients NO patients= No practice, at least in That Town. Hits him right in the Wallet! -
I suspect, mine will be cheesy potato soup, but,i will make sure it has extra protein to it. Make slider into a slow semi-slider. I realized recently most of my comfort foods have a calorie count, so either give them up or make them a little less sinful. Of course I haven't had my surgery so I could be worried about October food.
