Well Jenn, I have never been average or normal, I have always been Me- Frustr8- but thank you Dr Needleman , I am a surgically refurbished Frustr8 now, diet and health will only improve as time goes by. I have trouble remembering the uniqueness of my journey, none of ours is exactly the same, but each is right for each person. And when my loss slows as Jenn says correctly it will, I hope I will be cool ,calm. and still grateful for this wonderful gift🎁.

Looks like something I would eat and like. Sometime in my life I shall, raising. my Muscle Milk🍶 strawberry in salute!

Thank you @ RnYBeyhive, for the reminder , it is intervention time. And wouldn't you know, I CANNOT FIND my MoM, the lovely cheery cherry friend. Tomkitten, my son and loyal minion, would tell you my meds are all in an area 2 to 3 feet square. Daily meds front and center, prn meds one side, "only if I have too" meds to the right. There sits my miralax, 3 different types from 2 different doctors, the empty large zip lock bag my Lovenox was in, Gone all Gone and the Mommy MoM is missing. Nary a ring on the carpet to see. So I made Tomkitten get down on his stomach with a flashlight and look under,my bed, see I have not been able get down there since knee replacement # 2- no way to push myself back up. See if you have only 1 you can use healthy to take stress off of weak one, I longer have a healthy strong knee. Transplants are nice, a relief. from unending pain, but 85% efficient. Now what to do? Eureka, I remember I have 1/2 bottle of Mag Citrate left from the opioid- induced ostipation/ constipation I got into once Knee # 2 much more painful than #1, only Norco would touch it. So Tomkitten heped me open it, since my thumb surgery in October last year I run risk of mal-locating it . Bummer having to have,help with bottle caps and jar lids Forgot how much I hate this stuff, lemon sour, salty & Precious was underjoyed, I could feel her rising up in anger- WTF WTF WTF?. But slowly 1 to 2 oz at a time, I got 're down. Now I am waiting for THE battle to ensue " down below". Might as well keep putting sips of fluid in, maybe dissipate the taste? WE SHALL SEE***** WHAT WILL BE**** Your Bound-Up Buddie. Frustr8 😔😌😔

And a hi-ya from the pews on the other side. 2 Miralax daily, MoM by evening of Day# 2, rationalized not much in , little out, Nurse Practioner Not Amused ( was Queen Victoria her ancestor?) and the only BM I have seem to have is this emoji💩. I am not having pain, like constipation used to do, it is happy to sit somewhere in my Colon and relax. I am a BIG girl, maybe a Barcalonger in there? I don't want to end up at OSU and HAVE LOLFOS on my chart. Translation: largo old lady- full of s***.😪🚽😭

Proud of you, my little buddy, yeah I may hit Wendy's, good taste, the chili "like home" yeah II luquids, just slight edging into purees. here are the hallmarks from my after-surgery booklet. Think OSU is doing its best to deplete the tree-cover but turning every one into paper! 600-800 calories Sugar Free Liquids & baby/pureed foods No raw fruit except 🍌 no raw veggies Starts in hospital, continues 2-4 weeks, further only with surgeon's permission. " If you have to chew, ,**** it is NOT Stage 2!"

Sending a hug across the miles to You. Not depressed, they say many get that way, been depressed before, could tell if I were heading there again. Not sorry for my surgery, never will be! My worthiness today? I feel my body is failing me, it doesn't seem to work as well as others the same distance post-surgery. Then I remember they are half or a third my age, maybe I should not be so hard on ME, this surgery asked a lot of a 72 year old body, maybe it is moving at a correct speed. It just stings when I read Almost. a month since surgery, walked around Mall all morning, went home and cooked family a 4 course meal, now hubby and I going. to(fill in name) Rock Concert and we won't go home until 1 AM." Meanwhile I'm walking. in my house, some in the yard outside and walk from car to electric cart at Wal-Mart because,it makes me dizzy and short of breath to push regular one, even for a few items.Its like they are in an alternate universe! Take it easy, Rome wasn't built in a day, even though the Goths and Visigoths pretty bad we a mess of things, you will get there and I suspect I will too!

Yeah they sure are. Try Yogi brand if you can find it. Every one I have tried, I have liked. A "sweetener" from way back, but these don't require it!🍵

Precious Pouch is still acting like a non- benevolent despot but TODAY may be the day,she settles down and "Flies Right" Seems like PP is ahead by at least a touchdown in this game! Yeah I am going to try some refried beans myself today. Precious doesn't like much on the Stage two list, isn't that I'm eating too fast, I follow rules very good, I had good luck with strain chicken Won Ton and egg croup sounds good too. Think I'll try broths off light soups as long as they are low cal- low carb. Been tempted by butternut soup, always liked squash, yams, sweet potatoes even carrots, maybe try more veggie things for a while. They had samples of Campbell's Yes light carrot based soup, took a baby cup,our size, went down smooth and stayed there. My diet sheet says smooth pureed thinned bean soup, refried beans or even mild chili okay. Don't know about chili's inate spiciness but the others yeah maybe. Lost close to 20 pounds this first 3 weeks, yeah Yippee Skippee, except with all the urping, burping , upchucking, the FUN Quotient has not checked in YET!😪And #2 sluggish to leave me, double Miralax daily, and MoM to get boost if 3rd day comes. Not hard, just infrquent💩

Hideous only,in her small mind, I think you are, will be and always were a prettier person inside, now you will have a chance to have the outside match. Sissy sounds petty, jealous and without YOUR best interests in mind. SHAME SHE NEVER GREW UP AND. COULD GIVE YOU,HONOR! Have you tried strained cream soups or broths? You need something savory and tasty to fight off the cloying sweets! Good luck, REMEMBER this stage isn't forever. Although after 3+ weeks I Will Not Swear that it ends, Precious Pouch is certain some pureed are EVIL, how do you reason with something without ears. But keep fighting the Good Fight, we all make it through 👣to the sunlight!⛅☀⛅

Question- maybe I should already,know this answer- if so refresh my over-wheled mind. How long to you have to crush medications? I am now 3 weeks and 3 days post-surgery😷 yeah I know___ YEAH ME! Sure worked long ( over 3 years) and hard with roadblocks, nay- sayers, and a sneering surgeon and staff trying kill things before my plans finall achieved. This RnY, my last and I hope ultimate Bariatric Success! So penulimate query( gosh I love Adult,Language!) was I crushing because of size, I was told pills larger than M&M(smartie size- my Commonwealth Cousins), difficulty swallowing- that was never a problem! I could bolt foods down great abandon in unlimited foods days or is it my egg-sized pouch unable to digest and pass things along to my "jj" small intestine unless pulverized? I do recall the average stoma size is maybe dime-sized ? Now as I heal I have developed crabby crappy urine -although I am struggling toward fluid nirvana- color is still warmish and odor is strong. Tried to consult PCP, tried to consult my own urologist, transportation fouled up, both went on their weekend holiday without seeing me. So I consulted my Community Hospital ED, always an iffy choice but surely THIS is not beyond their experiences, after all, even non-bari- people get UTI. Did not want to be driven 50 miles to OSU and HAVE the people say " does your local hospital NOT know how to handle URINE?" That would be mortifying. So this AM after last Lovenox shot, Hail and Farewell, I have laid out. & planned my Zofran, teeny pill size and Ditropan, also teeny size, then to add to group Bactrim, a medium- sized white lozenge . Crush, no crush, what is the Correct answer? Frustr8 knows she can swallow Big Bad Bactrim down, but can Precious Pouch, the Queen of this Post- SURGERY adventure, handle this medication? Have a horrid mental. image of it sitting sideways straddling my stoma, on the other side I feel like I'm "grinding" my life away!. Any Veteran of The Weight Wars want to,weigh in?😭
