Another way to say it. They all need hugging or slugging, and some days you gotta flip a coin!

I still maintain shul, mosque, church as a first resort, not bars and such. All you find in bars. are a scummy bottom feeding fish, the keepers swim in cleaner waters. You deserve the best, don't settle for Mr or Ms Better-than- nothing!๐ช

If it works for you and your surgeon, it's not my place,to complain. May be all the prep you really need!๐

Relax you will be fine. Remember to sip, I firmly believe the more fluid in, the quicker you heal, if they instruct you to walk, do it. It will get rid of any left over gas, and it will keep from stiffening up and feeling sorry for your self. My recovery has been atypical to what you read but no less valid. Nobody is the same go8ng in so it stands to reason we recovery different. I saw my surgeon 6 days afterward, was sheduled to see him again September 18th, saw Nurse-practioner and dietician( just in passing) not scheduled to see surgeon again until October 9th. Maybe running a little putt party, but I am 48 miles from there and feeling neglected. Could have used a little reassurance what I am feeling is usual but,i don't fit the neat boxes everyone else, talks about. But I'm sure you will do f8ne.

Identity Crisis after dropping 80lbs in 8 months.
Frustr8 replied to BlueGirl1920's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
A story from my past. Maybe appropriate, maybe not, but still going to tell it. I once had a friend who decided to marry a,young man, a nice fellow. Once she married him, she set out to change him , oh nothing escaped her scrutiny, from hair style, to clothing to type of car driven, he wasn't sure he wanted children , they had 5 in 4 years. Then she demanded a divorce, her grounds? " He's not the man I married anymore!" Did she get her divorce, yep, just like she got everything else she wanted. Last time I saw him, he still looked broken, nut managing to keep up with child support for the 5 children he wasn't sure he really wanted. And he will still be paying until the last turns 18. And that ends my story here in Central Ohio. -
My pre-surgery ulcer, Hector, was caused by excessive NSAID usage. It would be a beautiful world๐ if this does NOT predispose to post- surgery ulceration.

Percentages of Protein Carbs, Fat
Frustr8 replied to Terry Lincoln's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
No Terry but I sure will be following also. Step 2, which I am still supposed to be on is 600-800 calories and 55 grams of protein. But beyond that I am at a loss as to,break down, I know mine is too low in calories to be a permanent solution, only, for 4 weeks and supervised. Supervision is in Columbus, I'm 48 miles NE of ther, don't see them until October 9th.๐ญ -
It does, it does. Not as bad until you go on soft foods. Keep yourself hydrated the rest of the day and you won't miss it as bad!

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Today is Sunday, I think I will offer Precious blenderized light Clam Chowder, strain it if necessary. Half a cup , here we come! If it works I might add some protein powder tho evening. Don't want to unless Precious accepts it, that powder is expensive. She likes soups, that's what I will brew up! -
It is Good to be Chaste, but even more Fun to be Chased occasionally!

At a loss, looking for support

Considered a Go Fund Me Page for myself, don't think it meets Alex' s criteria so quickly trashed the idea. Bariatric Pal and being a member, means more to,me. Besides my problems may cure themselves. -

Weight loss surgery advice needed
Frustr8 replied to nicole2592's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Start a chart for yourself and them by extension. Make a note of each diet ateempt, exercise, your body's reaction to each. Show, you have, been trying and it is,not working. My PCP started me,on a diet drug and I gained 30 pounds instead of loosing. THAT I noted on mine. -

Talked to my doctor...
Frustr8 replied to Medowsweet's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
At 311 pounds you should have a BMI over 40 , that should qualify, you alone without a gangoozel of communities. For my PCP and myself 355 pounds was a 'Hello There" moment, thank God I am down from there and decreasing everyday. No one wants to built, like a REDWOOD TREE. when there is a beautiful supple Sugar Maple waiting to burst free! Yes I have started to embrace,my Inner Sapling and YOU can too! -
I will confess- I will miss my pumpkin cake donuts with good Ohio -squeezed fresh cider, several orchards in my county make a goodly amount, if you can't find them, the ones at Newcomerstown have a good product. That was always my Autumn go-to! Hey as a bariatric patient can I still have cider if I cut it half-and- half with H2O? Cut!down cider better than nothing, yeah?

Ooh I do swear by the liver-shrinking diet, spent the entire month of August on it. Really was only suppose to do 4 weeks. Why did I do it.? Good to me reason. When Dr Needleman had me lay back on his table July 17th and starts palpating my abdomen, he gets to the rights subcostal area and goes Hmmmn! Beware a doctor who goes Hmmn during an. exam. It is gentle medicalese for WTG going on here? He looks up and says " You will be going on my liver-shrink diet, won't you?" Now I am a Medical geek, I could hear the unspoken , I have NASH and he can feel a liver margin below my ribs, I do not want him canceling my surgery! So I rationalize, 1 week, minimum 2 weeks better,3 weeks better, 4 weeks that's very fine So gave myself all the time from August 1st on, read literature, for every week your liver will shrink 2.5%. I am going to have a bright sparkling liver or else. Lost 15 pounds, me with the metabolism of a sick slug on depressants, so it can be done. No nausea, no pain perceived, did wonderful in hospital Am I sorry,No No 1000times No Making๐ Precious Pouch behave, now that is ANOTHER topic But it will be okay when she settles into tranquility. And she shall, whether She plans it or not., โ๐

And someday across the Crystal Bridge she will be there. See I still believe in Heaven, a Happy Heaven with dogs, cats, bunnies, all the fur babies that brightened our Earthly Days. RIP Mrs Woo, looly will rejoin you in time!

Frustr8 replied to LynnV1964's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My middle child Kevin๐ was also. Were he still living he would Have been 42 on May 7th. It's strange but when I went through their pre-surgery orientation and all that ensued, it was like I was coming home after a long twisted tortuous dark journey away, and I was nearly floored by the unexpected sensation. No it is not a mystical journey, but me it was and is, I literally wish I could hug the very walls and all that is contained there. To my dying breath, which I don't expect soon, I will thank them for doing something no one else would do- Believing in Frustr8 and giving her a future!๐ฆ๐ญ๐ช๐ -
