My surgery date is coming
Frustr8 replied to CRD1981's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And it is wonderful to hear from all you late September chicks and dudes. Hope things continue well for you all!😛❤😛 -
And the way things💩going for me and tomorrow will be one month. At least 1 Miralax a day, if nothing, 2 miralax, still nothing? MoM and 75-80% it works promptly, if not it will in the morning. Almost envy you folks with loose stool, it is like my bowels or their muscles forget how to work. Maybe little in, little out?

Sure is, thought I had researched enough, knew everything ; anxiety to zero stools. Oh I was talking the talk, everybody said " Oh such a smart lady, SHE really has it together!" and I started the Post- surgery walk, and things were peachy. No post-surgery,pain, no gas, surgeon pleased, sent me home with a complementary fresh-mixed milky drink, gave me a virtual pat on the back and we,were off to the races. And I found I had a skill at giving myself Lovenox, a weird talent but mine, all mine. Then my entire abdomen turned purple and swelled, looked like I was carrying, an aliens baby. Went to have it evaluated the Tuesday after surgery, turned out benign but surgeon says Progress on to Stage 3 foods, you can handle it. He should have installed a teeny set of earphones on Precious Pouch, she disagreed and still disagrees. Since I really loathe upchucking, we are trucking on ,Stage 2,strained and cream soups ( think I may have mushroom breath forever) protein shakes, sf popsicles, sf jello and waters of various no cal ilk. As long as I play things her way, it is peaceful, I am losing weight, 22 pounds since surgery, taking vitamins, assigned minerals and meds. Light-headed, exercise some but not excessively, hate to topple over or fall, they say it's not blood sugar, IDK. But on October 12 I have an Exploratory EGD scheduled, we will see if Precious has a small stricture, or she just has a nasty disposition. True, she is but a turkey egg size bundle of gastric flesh, but she has elected herself Emperess of the World. Stay tuned for the next chapter of "Frustr8 battles the pouch" I'm sure it is more humorous to not live it!😛😐😛

How many calories should I be consuming right after surgery?
Frustr8 replied to Oct517's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I am a RnY, healing slowly post-surgery on September 5th, on Stage 2, 600-800 calories which is truly deficent for proper needs. My bariatric team knows, I see surgeon again on October 9th and am scheduled for an Exploratory EGD on October 12th, I am tolerating soups, broth, liquids but my pouch does not accept purees. Maybe a slight stricture, But that is a bypass problem, not only sleevers regularly encounter. Until you restart solid foods, I doubt you'll reach 1000 calories, but then i, too, am learning as I go. And I do take, viscerally multi-vites, B12 (sublingual) calcium citrate, magnesium and all ordered meds including Zofran. I am losing weight, 22 pounds post-surgery, which is glorious for a 72 year old metabolism, usually the same rate as a sick depressed sea slug, but anxious for more good times to roll.😜🎪📍🚩🎃 -

Shakes, purees, or even plain water? Matt Z is right, we do need to know MORE! We do want to help, it is hard when you have to go in and guess blindly.

Confessional - Lets post our cheats/confessions/etc so others can see that we are all human
Frustr8 replied to Matt Z's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Wish Precious would settle down, can't cheat when she refuses to tolerate what is good for her in the first place. Hope the exploratory EGD gives us some good answers on the 12th. Until then, strained soups, broths, protein shakes and Crystal light/mio and the other no cal water friends. Keep with multi-vites,B12, other meds, Zofran and pray for the best! -
Teen tiny bites, start with sugar free popsicles, your tummy may rebel at that much bulk. I recommend the Tropical sf popsicle brand over the plain orange-cherry- grape box, get more in it but not as refreshing.

Frustr8 replied to amanda-xo's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A lot of girls seem to like the Nuva Ring, others say IUD, haven't heard about the impanon recently. Just an interested watcher from the other side of menopause.👵 -

Anyone lose motivation leading up to surgery?
Frustr8 replied to Briswife15's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A four-fold posting? Something has gone screwy since they tried revamping Bariatric Pal. Best Wishes tomorrow with your surgery. October 5th will become a bright day in your life!😛 -
Summer 2018 Surgery Buddies: POST-OP Discussion
Frustr8 replied to Ylime's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well I am awake again, these days are not the life I booked for. My pouch is not behaving , I am tired of soups, broths, protein shakes, isn't it sad when you look forward to the sugar free popsicles? I am losing weight, Hurray for that, but still facing a visit to My Surgeon Tuesday and an Exploratory EGD to find out why Precious doesn't like thicker puree. Shouldn't she be accepting them? 4 weeks yesterday, a month tomorrow. And my living situation is not cool. Don't know how things are going to end. Think I have a case of the What Next and the Blahs at the same times Well take my Zofran, Ditropan and Wellbutrin with a sip of water, then if things cool go get a protein shake and the day begins. Down below 300,pound pounds but almost wish I had my Lovenox back, then I felt like a participant in Life. Maybe, just maybe, something good will happen in my life. -
Maintaining weight to get approved?
Frustr8 replied to GirlShrinking's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Knowing how insurances rationalize things, it is not, impossible. You see, under 50 they may think you are,now a desperate case, not saying that's right, what does your Bariatric Team say? -
WELCOME Oct517 and aapb and Deanayeah to the Post-Op side if town. Your steps to a Good Health Return have started!😜

Happy that you are. No pants. Now tour new life will begin! Congratulations on doing it.

BP Website Excrutiatingly Slow After Update Yesterday
Frustr8 replied to FluffyChix's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
yeah let me add my faint praise to the chorus! Each topic I go to answer , what I call the Glow-worm spins, "Loading" then if I am. lucky it will go to correct topic but usually back to the Forum topic, what I could answer quickly takes a step or 2 longer, next time don't use a rubber mallet to repair things, okay? Then it says something about" unknown" but does post it. Hunnh? -
