Well, my surgeon put me on Carafaten I put the big white horse pill in my my shotglass, boiling water on it to dissolve,it, sltir up the slurry with a popsicle stick & when it cools chug it down the old throat. Have do it every 6 hours round the clock.

And my Repeat EDJ is Friday October 26th at 3:10pm with Dr Noria. Apparently endoscopy is her " bang zone" she really likes doing them.

I got Genepro from the Bariatric Pal store, been blending into my cream soups to give a dietary kick and up the protein. So far so good. Only failure I had was the day I tried to put it in bone broth abdcended up with Genepro noodles instead.

I still would like to try it with Mexican seasonings and Salsa. Might be a different treat?🍝

I also like part of the Premier Protein flavors, wondered why I couldn't find any at my Wal-Mart, then I read they are embroiled in a lawsuit. Dont know if they,arent shipping or Wal-Mart,isn't ordering. Do NOT buy their,house brand Equate it is VILE beyond all understanding! I would drink Slim-Fast first and I Do Not,Like it, not even before starting Bariatrics.

And I think the Tropical ones are the best, just bought another box. They are my go-to snack/dessert now that pies, cakes and cookies no longer live at my house🏡

oh it will, it will! I am basically optimistic in all things, I guess if you live long enough things do balance out. I never did think I would accomplish any land-speed records at healing. But it does seem moving slow but maybe right for me. We shall see how everything works out, won't we?😛🐸😛

Yeah I hear a lot about the unholy 3, gastrin, leptin and ghrelin, I guess all of them have to be in balance or you get ulcers, strictures and misery. And the outsiders think Bariatrics is an Easy Way out? Ha Hah, YOU just try living it.😔

I had one, Hector, showed up during my EGD in December 2017 when my gastroenterologist had me on omeprazole, that's why I was on Dexilent until they stopped it ,at my surgery time.Told them, my bariatric team, omeprazole was not going to be gastric protective, they didn't listen, they like the stuff because you can open the capsules and pour them on your food. Foolish when I am on a liquid Stage 2 diet, I don't eat solids unless you can Do it applesauce. I don't whether I was going to have it or off the endo caused it but now I have laryngitis. Did Dr Noria get my stricture stretched so I could eat solids? Nope she did as much as she felt she could, but that is one of the reasons I have to have another EGJ within 2 weeks. I knew I had a stricture, I just could tell, the ulce4s, I feel since I was a known ulcer producer, I should have been on Carafate from the beginning. Now I have it 6am Noon 6pm Midnight for 3 months, and instead of removing omeprazole the dosage was doubled. Oh I shall be compliant, but i,have my doubts whether this maneuver is going to work!

yep and a moderate stricture of my stoma. That's why she repulsed all the different types of food, she couldn't pass it on to the intestine without a big enough opening. so i have a change of medication and I hope,the next scope shows it has resolved.,That should be donevagaijs Ervin

And I was right, I have kept saying there is something wrong with Precious Pouch! Well last Friday, I had an Upper endoscopy, an EGJ because the duodenum is no longer accessible on a bypasser , And my Precious has a moderate stricture and Hector my little baby gastric ulcer has 5 nasty stepbrothers. Anybody remember the movie Gremlins? Well Hector is Gizmo, relatively quiet, doesn't make waves. These 5 stepbrothers are located in the area of the stoma and on the back wall of the jejunem, and they are more like Stripe and his group, haven't bled yet, haven't come cl9se to perforation, but I am not trusting them. And although I name all my toys and possessions, have since I was a mini-Frustr8, I refuse to name these 5 hooligans. I want them GONE! So now I take that omeprazole twice a day, supposed to open the capsule and pour the grains on food, rough when the only soludish you have is applesauce. See Precious would rather vomit than let purees and soft food through. And between the vomiting and the tube down my throat I have laryngitis. I would say I croak like a🐸 frog, but most of the time I'm like a toad instead , no sound. And also for 3 months I am on Carafate every 6 hours around the clock so 6am Noon 6pm Midnight. And I have to perform a cute maneuver. The medicine comes in big oval white horse pills, so I put one in my shotglass, pour hot water on to it, stir the slurry up before it separates. And it is a shame they don't have much taste, I think it tastes like white over refined flour. But what the hey, I'll try to stick to this program. And within 2 weeks I get to have ANOTHER lovely scoping. So October 23rd I see Dr Needleman and probably that Friday if not sooner a rescope. And I have two other surgical processes I postponed because of Bariatrics, still elective at this point maybe not forever. Oh I am a busy kangaroo, aren't I? Do you know why I am a kangaroo? Because I now have a pouch, and I hope Precious and I will be off this diet, I call it 2A because there are things on a true Stage 2 diet Precious refuses, I am living on soups, broths, protein shakes and no cal waters. I think I shall have permanent Cream of 🍄 breath.
