  1. So YOU did get the sleeve YOU wanted and had booked for? Outstanding!!!🙋💇

    September bypass buddies??

What I did was 6oz premier protein clear in the fruit punch flavor, 6 oz Minute Maid 15 fruit punch, then filled up my 16 oz cup with cold bottled water. Thinned things to a tolerable level for me.🍶😛
  3. Anti-acid pills, rumored to help a sour stomach, routinely Calcium Carbonate, something a sleeved or bypasser cannot digest and use, so it gets💩out. A waste of money in the long run, common brand is Tums.

And when I finally lose down to my goal weight I will have no frame of reference to compare to and I can't go back there and revisit. Please don't walk where I do now.💦

This is for anyone reading, remember to take pictures, even if you never share them, I wish so hard Tomkitten had taken this picture of me, he refused and the only one I have is of my belly afterward, I cry that I didn't have this one and now I never will.Oh I can have one of me before my EGJ next Friday but my orignal surgery day is lost to me forever!

My guess and only quasi-educated, the Hibiclens stuff they make you wash pre-surgery and probably use in surgery, Last time I used it, which was February 2017 it was so bad for me, my skin peeled like I had a sunburn on my leg, I had a knee replacement, not. a transplant like Tomkitten told our PCP, boy did he get corrected for that! So when I was having my RnY, I had to double-wash with liquid gold Dial, found out why I was instructed to scrub my navel, my surgeon uses it as one of his trocar ports!! But they are looking pretty fine at this point, even Big Red the biggest one is, lagging a little behind , the rest are witening down, he's a little red. But he was the biggest and baddest, I think he was where Dr Needleman put the tools that count!
  8. Myfanwymoi, my guess would have been Wales, but Essex-- that's fine also!
  9. Yeah but Martinsburg is a pretty fine place, take me to the Ramp Festival and you'll have a friend for life. Shoot, you just might anyway, I ❤Mountaineers, they are fine fine people.
  10. Yeah mine tries to tell me 294, a lot of Bariatric Pals start out at that weight BEFORE surgery. Why are you celebrating? But to someone who was once 355 that seems SO VERY FINE. I think it goes back to childhood, in my case I was told not to be "falsely proud" now I wonder if I deserve such happiness? But Mama and my family meant well, they were at a loss to grow up a Frustr8, SO. they punted a lot!

    West Michigan Lake Drive

The unenlightened call it "soda" we Midwesterns know what to call it. FYI I still have 2 bottles of Baja Blast Mountain Dew in the bottom of my fridge, when may I expect you to drop by? I'm not gonna drink THEM!

    Impact Advanced Recovery

Maybe Mouse-cats should have FISH daily.LOL
  13. Central Ohio, Mount Vernon to be exact, surgery was at OSU in Columbus. At least 5-6 Buckeyes active, maybe more. We are Midwesterners, the Salt if the Earth!
  14. Well shall I start? 1. A RnY on September 5th 2018 Ohio State University Hospital Werner Medical Center. Columbus. Ohio 43210 2. Stricture of Pouch Stoma and 5 gastric/ jejunal ulcers. 3 Had EDJ 10/12/2018 to confirm dx, Additional EDJ scheduled for 10/26/2018. Now had Carafate 4 x daily added to medications. After that not certain of options as yet. 3. Not sure- maybe reassurance that although these things can happen your surgeon is not without means to treat it. Strange to say 2 Bari-pals both have this problem. Neither of us did anything to induce it, just an unlucky dice throw. 4 my story is stated on the other surgery complication thread but I will say I DO NOT REGRET MY SURGERY,I do not blame my surgeon, I knew going in I might not be an easy patient, but he granted me a surgery I had been working towards for over 3 years and I am eternally grateful,i believe my problems can and will be solved soon!👸😭😛

    Mental health

And weird things set you off, you can cry at the drop of a hat or because someone couldn't afford a hat. I can admit to being a Medical Geek, thought I might be having Pseudobulbar Affect, then I said" Relax , you're merely hormonal", had a lot of fat, a lot of things released. 😛Oh well, as I bounce, off the wall there will be,others bouncing with me. LOL and Boing Boing.

    October 2018 Sleevers

@IrishGal21 started one a month ago or you could hang also with the November Bypassers ,at October 30 you are kind of" on the cusp" of them, I'm sure they both would be tickled to have you. it is nice to have someone to share things with!
  18. And then over in Bypass-ville you have MEn 6 weeks tomorrow, on Stage 2A and staying there until October 26th when my surgeon's partner Dr Noria attempts again to stretch out my stoma stricture so I can move on with my diet.💦😭💦
  19. Congratulations, it couldn't be happening to a nicer person!!😛💪❤🏡

    Fat Shaming

Yes because inside you are still MattZ, the same dude trying to make it through life successfully. People are and certainly will be so shallow and superficial. And I guess raging against it gives ME the headache instead of THEM!

    Fat Shaming

An old saying If you stand silent instead speaking out against injustice; you risk falling for anything. Even a low-drama mama who have to speak out, I second Green Tealael's rebuttal.
  22. And here it is Jenn, for you and the rest to post in. My honor to have started it!

    Pre op Liquid Diet

Oh it is exciting, beyond wonderful and I wish you only the best of everything. Are you going to be a sleeve or a Bypass or a Lap-Band? I am have difficulties but mine are bypass-related and only semi-common, odd thing is my friend Ellie123 in Texas and me , here in Central Ohio have the same problem, I am hoping her dilation worked yesterday and then mine works a week from Friday and we will both be Brand New Women and can face the future!😛❤😃
  24. Frustr8

    Anyone regretting this?

And Jenn I will be there posting for sure, 6 weeks Tommie since my RNY, still on Stage 2A, have a repeat EGJ on October 26th. Surgeons partner, the one rescoping me said, don't work about your counts, don't add any new foods or textures, keep up with your multivitamins, calcium, B12, omeprazole twice a day, Zofran 3 times daily, Carafate every 6 hours and we will get through this all. I hope this time things hasn't settled down and my stricture can be dialated. The Good News in this all? I never had a 3 week stall, I have list over25 pounds since surgery and a total of 40 since the end of July. Hurray for ME but what emotional cost! I am watching my Surgery Day twins ready or have started back to soft regular foods. And as a result of either repeatedly vomiting or the endoscope tube I am virtually mute, Not that there wasn't a group that have for years hoped I would be quiet. Warning- my middle finger still works, I'm not going down⬇without a fight.
  25. As I understand it, 2 of the 5 were just before the stricture, she got me partially dialated, could see the other 3, but had to withdraw before a full dilitation, and risk making a bleed. One of the few times I wish I could have been awake and watched it on a monitor. Did I ever tell you I watched my colonoscopy in September 2012, absolutely, positively fascinating. Liquid Carafate? Hmmn have to check into THAT. Had black BM before with PeptoBismol. My bowels have yet to work spontaneously, have to j9g the #2 train with MoM , Miramax keeps it soft but it does not want to leave plus my diet just does notseem to have much bulk. And my Repeat EGJ is next Friday the 26th at 3:10pm. And that means I spend 15 hours NPO, this better work! Maybe she'll have to do this every 2 weeks? Don't seem like I will be on Camp Happy for a while.😪
