Struggling With Vitamins
Frustr8 replied to johnsons13's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Sounds Good Alex! Ever time I think I'm up to date with what Bariatric Pal Store offers you add SOMETHING NEW. After my first order I thought you were the Best Value around, and doggone if you. don't maintain that Sterling Reputation! December I will be ordering more. Still Strictured, still on liquids, the retail around my town gets more and more limited. Wal-Mart, my local supplier, cut back to only vanilla and Chocolate protein shakes. Why? IDK, but your delivery is quick enough left to THEM, I'll order from YOU! -
I posted you guys a nice post, it flew off somewhere into the ether, oh well NBT, NBD. @Gym and Tonic, I share your birthday, a big difference, I will be 73, RedHeaded, still kicking, still a FORCE to Contend with, and an 11 week old bypasser. My surgery date was September 5, 2018, a few blips and a roadblock or 2, but Honey I will still make it to that finish line with all you Kids. Drop me a post anytime you want to talk, I discuss most everything but I listen too!

So I Glad @ Jakesoldlady t9 see you're doing good!

Endoscopy Done.. Marginal Ulcer Confirmed
Frustr8 replied to mousecat88's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Well๐ญ๐บMy next endoscopy is scheduled for Wednesday November 28th at 8 AM, Dr Noria is evidentally, taking a Thanksgiving holiday, should have been this Friday, but we do what we must, dont we? Surely one of these days things are going to work out for me too! And yeah they are uncomfortable, guess what? I am a never smoker and it hit me also! -
And I checked out Krogers, all they have are individual bottles chilled for $2.50. Not any choice more than W-M, really broke my โคand they remodeled so a bunch of solid aisles front to back, maybe so you get frustrated and leave?

Well my local Wal-Mart in their infinite stupidity deleted every flavor of Premier Protein but vanilla and Chocolate, I am rapidly getting tired of vanilla anything, especially protein shakes, and I have been allergic to chocolate and it's whole family of associated things like cocoa and cocoa butter and have been for 43 years since I was carrying baby # 2. Yeah maybe I could order the other flavors shipped in, but when you want it, you want it. Loved both caramel and peaches and cream, funny they had them with impunity until the fabled lawsuit and I suspect they sussed out. Nearest Sam's Club 23 miles away, no Costco, never had an Amazon account,of any kind. I have never tried EAS, maybe try to find it. Next endoscopy scheduled 8 AM. Wednesday November 28th if I can find transport that early. Bummer when you don't have a car or drive anymore.

Weird Email Message PW Authentication Message
Frustr8 replied to FluffyChix's topic in Website Assistance & Suggestions
And while we are on the matter of weird notifications- I occasionally am getting " No Permission", I could understand if I was trying to access The Veterans Forum, because I haven't fulfilled the requirements but this may show up on post-surgery, sleeve or other forums. AM I somehow confusing the internet gurus?๐๐ -

@Diana__in Philly, you look like what my dream is to be, granted I am only aiming for 175, but I could maybe end as low as you! I see and I know it will not be an easy trek for someone my age and from my starting point but I believe in ME and still think I am a woman who can do it# Thanks for, your shining example! Glad to meet you @sandygs, you sound like a friend, co- journeyer on this path Our God has ordained. Share many of the same quiet interests, Good to know there are 2 of us, church-going Lord-loving girls out here! -
Well , Late Lamented died July 4th 2012. Kahkeetsee thinks she is in a" no mans land" in her 50s, try being 72. But as I lose weight I can only get cuter, more approachable as I get smaller, and Maybe Just Maybe there will be a dude not in the throes of senility whose interest will be piqued by my Awesome Self. Or I could become a Cougar, go prowling and see WHAT I can drag into my cave? Or I can retire from the search and remain Blissfully Unmarried and Free for the Pickup and Hauling!๐At any rate I will still be ME๐and that's COOL,in itself.

Switching from surgeon to family doc?
Frustr8 replied to AshMarie794's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My Feeling- Go For It! Better a supportive PCP who does care about you and your future than a new untested surgeon that, to them , you are another cipher, and might not give you the commitment YOU DESERVE! Better the Devil๐you know-- than an Unsubstantiated one!๐ -
The Dreaded Holidays
Frustr8 replied to BeanieSprouts's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Never Dread, would you prefer Obese and Dead? No matter what comes, and my own has not been a bed of wildflowers let alone Roses, it is better than Sadly Obese , dead or nearly so, and feeling without hope! I'm still looking forward with hope in my โค, if I can do it on almost 3 months of liquid diet, 5 ulcers, two in my pouch near the structured stomal opening, 3 on the back wall of the jejunem (2nd half small intestine) and I can still look forward to a brighter future, Don't YOU think YOu CAN ALSO?๐๐๐ช -
Many virtual hugs- Many good wishes- and as another Baby Boomer groupie- YOU CAN DO THIS, BABE, YOU CAN DO THIS!๐๐๐๐ท๐

Exactly 3 months progress picctures
Frustr8 replied to jultrim18's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Well at 45+ at 11 weeks I am just a skoot behind you. You look GOOD, with a sore almost constant pouch pain, stricture, 5 ulcers and a prolonged liquid diet and 72, I just look ๐ฉ weary. Tomkitten my son says he can see a weight loss, says he is proud of ME, even my PCP says,he is also. I would be a little grateful except I am like the lady: Someone said to her My you are looking so good today! Her answer What? Don't I always? See I used to think I was a wonderful person then too, only YOU defined me by MY weight and apparance(to you). I HAVE ALWAYS BE A WONDERFUL PERSON, LOVING AND LOVEABLE! Too bad YOU were so shallow YOU didn't see๐ it for yourself. But I have now seen myself naked, I have lost my double-chins, my neck now looks like a ๐ข turtle emerging from my shell/shoulders, it is getting cold๐๐โin Ohio, so I am not getting sunlight/Vitamin D, so my skin tone is off, a pale ๐ฉ- looking sallow off-shade, my once- plump lower abdomen looks like a deflated balloon, you know when you let out air it's kinda blobby? And my legs look constantly with bruising where I don't remember bumping things. My a** is flattening, Good, you think? Not when It hurts so bad to sit, especially on hard and wood chairs. First of month, I WILL be buying a Memory Foam sitting pillow, might even put it in its own little red wagon! And the worst part I think this AM? The abiding pouch pain, the 5 stomal/ jejunem ulcers, the prolonged liquid diet, the lack of spontaneous ๐ฉ and the STRICTURE that still abides. But Dr Noria, my surgeon's partner, my designated endoscopist, swears on a stack of Merck Manuela and Grey's Anatomies I SHALL BE HEALED! She has been in THIS BUSINESS longer than I have been strictured, SO MAY IT BE SO!๐ช๐ฆ๐๐ -
And at 72 I have to really try to overcome this. Miralax 2x daily, MoM evening of 2nd day. See I'm on prolonged liquids because of Stricture and ulcers also try to โฌcolumn of fluids. Things๐ฉsoftish but infrequent, nothing spontaneous! ๐ช๐ฆ๐ช๐ฆ

And hoping for a wonderful surgery, smooth outcome and a beautiful future for YOU! Update please add soon as you feel good enough!๐ท๐๐

A Georgia๐ peach with a rash? That's not good at all, but at least we didn't have to spray you for Fruit Tree Scab or a bug infestation!๐

I wanted to welcome you also . Although I am an newish RNY bypasser (9/05/2018) most of my best friends are sleevers. You'll find friends on here from both sides of the WL aisle, it's like the Army and Navy, we are allies in the Bariatric Wars and we help each other out as much as possible๐๐๐!
