Thanksgiving Day will be 3 months post-op..some thoughts
Frustr8 replied to rebchief's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have lost most of my rump cushioning, now I can't abide wooden chairs only for minimal time. Feels like my tailbone is going to burst through or crumble. Wish We Could Choose Where We Want To Lose! -
Not even in coffee or tea?

What did it feel like for you when you achieved your goal weight?
Frustr8 replied to dathvick's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Hope I reach mine before I get old(well older!) And die. What's the use of being thin, scrawny and no longer the shape of a sausage if the only people pleased are your pallbearers because You are easier to carry. Dang it you're an corpse, and there is no fun or future in THAT! -
Nexium vs. Prilosec

I have to soften my Carafate white Horsepills in boiling water, well even warm water will work. And the resulting slurry tastes like white flour in water. Guess they work but a funny way to do things!π -

Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
May you only be full of π©,know I am, will take a dose of MoM as soon as my tummy settles down from the last puke-a-sode, tried eating 2 teaspoons of softcooked apple, Precious Pouch was not amused and let me know it! -

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
And another EGJ is scheduled for me! Wednesday November28 2018 at 8AM. Are we keeping on doing this every 2 weeks until.it is fixed or somebody gives up, and I wonder if an Open Surgery is in my future, maybe January 2019? No verdict, not even an indictment, maybe my imagination running away with ME. Maybe a Flight of Fancy? -
Do those gastric nerves regenerate after a band removal or does it go Really Slow?

Endoscopic dilation - stenosis
Frustr8 replied to bluegirl216's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
@Bluegirl216, @Savagegirl, it's November 2018, how are You Both Doing? -
A narrowing, near-blockage of my opening from stomach pouch into my jejunem, the second portion of my small intestine. And although Sleevers don't get the same kinds, they can stenosis and Stricture also. It is a Card Game no one wants dealt into. You fill up quickly, or it is hard to swallow much, you puke back up even purees, it puts a crimp on trying to live your life. And Precious Pouch, my personal nemesis, she hurts all the time, sits there like an angry clutched fist in my chest/upper abdomen. Am I sorry I had this surgery? No not so much, I really resent how my body is now acting.Still looking for the rainbowπ and its Pot of Gold!π

Frustr8 replied to mousecat88's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And my next EGJ is scheduled for Wednesday November 28th at 8AM, same BatChannel, same Bat-endoscopist, the procedure people are starting to call me by name not my patient #. Why not, I have been there Every Two Weeks since Early October! -
Pain after stricture dilation
Frustr8 replied to jh7005's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I don't mean to be mean or something, but I forgot Sleevers could get structured also, guess I thought only Bypassers got this. -
Does this complicate things for a Sleeve Candidate? Just Wondering.

How many calories are you allowed?
Frustr8 replied to KT1981's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My endoscopic surgeon wants me at 90 grams protein daily, short of 1-2 Shakes for the supplementation- I Do Not Think I will Make it There! -
Marginal/anastomotic ulcer anyone?
Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Sounds more like lower bowel pain than our evil ulcer friends. You could have thrush bacteria irritating your colon, have you been going #2 frequently enough? Smell in nose could be the fact you are now starting to burn off those fat reserves. I have had such a bad taste I swore somebody was going to smell it and make nasty remarks. Your thrush meds could have also killed off your good bowel bacteria, maybe start probiotics? Just a few of my thoughts. And I don't regret my surgeries, endoscopy and all, I regret the way my body is acting.πͺππͺ -

Nexium vs. Prilosec
Frustr8 replied to π Ίπ Έπ Όπ Όπ Έπ ΄π Ί's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
You are ever so correct! -
Or garbage collector, but if you're into sheds, barns and garages that's fine also.
-
Does size matter? Well not as much as guys would like to believe. Wise woman- hood mentor told when I was a youthful Frustr8, told me. you tell a guy, who is fearful his endowments are insufficent Ooh Baby, it's fine, I'm sure you know to work what you have to the MAX! Confidence makes up a lot. Now bougie diameters, no worries-- arguement we had a time ago, How long is your Bypass ? The right answer: long enough to do the job, short enough you don't get life- risking malabsorption. Trust your surgeon, he or she will calibrate your sleeve or pouch to the perfect for you measurement. They are extremely skilled at what. they do, elsewise you would hired a garage collector instead. NEVER SWEAT. THE SMALL STUFF! AND YOU WILL FIND OUT AS YOU LIVE LONG, LIFE IS PLUMB FULL OF SMALL STUFF! Now someone help Frustr8 down off the soapbox before I fall and do ME harm!

And you Sleevers still have a stomach left about the diameter of a garden hose, but it works, and isn't that what you wanted anyway?

Marginal/anastomotic ulcer anyone?
Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
5, Darlin' I have 5 evil Stripe the Gremlin-type along with Hector, my original Gizmo, quiet and not making more trouble in the other, not -so -connected portion. See I went in with gastritis and Hector at the beginning of this farce. I should have been on Carafate from the beginning, not had to wait until a month had elapsed, We Are playing Catch-Up now. I'm not going Friday, can't be seen until a week from tomorrow at 8 AM, apparently Dr Noria is taking herself a little Holiday for Thanksgiving, ours not hers, she graduated University in Toronto, so she belongs still to Royal College of Surgeons as well as the American ones. And I don't know if I emotionally can keep going biweekly into 2019. How much longer until they threaten or do open surgeries? Maybe I NEVER WILL BE truly well again, what a ROTTEN finale to my story that will be!π·ππͺπ₯ -
