How/when did you find your groove?
Frustr8 replied to CrankyMagpie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Hey cranky but sincere question. Three different staff members with 3 differing opinions. All with fluids/ liquids Opinion# 1 add Miralax Opinion#2 Add beneficent Opinion# 3 stir in scoop of unflavored protein powder. Now if I do all that, its going to,look bad and taste/feel even worse. Do I take advice of ranking member, alternate the add-ons or what? -

Teeth, had enough testing of all types by now. Vitamin levels should be fine at my next office visit December 19th , Wonder if they call in a lab blood drew order before then? Being seen in the office every 10 weeks sucks badly! Am I supposed to quietly die in the meantime? -

I stood Flintstones only so long, nasty vile ground- up things. Evil taste designed by someone who did not have my best interest at heart. Then I took a small sip of liquid, held it in my mouth long enough to throw one of my small sized prenatal Spring Valley vitamins in, and float down with down with the waterm Figured if this kills me at least n9 one will have to scrape vitamin residue off my testing And it worked and still does. Just 1 prenatal a dayn no fuss, no folderall÷!!# -

Well there would be if a wandering gallstone blocked the opening of the pancreatic duct. With the blockage the fluid could start auto- digesting the gland. Worse case scenario, but scary to consider! 😪😥
-
OMG Won by I do hope things get better for you soon.😫

23 long, no one wants to take me there, miles north of here. well I'll wait until tomorrow and try weighing options. I can find transport for doctors appointments but no one wants to take me shopping.

How much does Sleeve surgery cost with no Ins ?
Frustr8 replied to texasnewf's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Dr Needlman charged $5000, the hospital( OSU) charged $14,550 so there is almost $20,000. And a sleeve is $1000-1500 less. Wouldn't,it be nice if they gave =early, payer. discount? -
I went to check out Krogers because my Wal-Mart deleted the. Protein20 and I couldn't find Anything . What a failure that was!
-
Just steer clear of Wal-Mart's Equate brand shakes, I found them NASTY!
-
Thank you Fancy Christine, that's a brand I haven't tried. Good suggestion.

Any more that are another flavor besides chocolate? -
Can you use sugar free pudding as a base?
-
And can anyone figure out a non- chocolate homemade shake? Anything but vanilla, I am beginning to LOATHE vanilla!

A lot of people seem to have to follow up with later gall bladder removal but I don't recall pancreatitis cases on here although I can see how there would be a possibility. I think to avoid gallstone difficulties is why many surgeons give a script, for ursadiol.

SkinnyMiki you do have us, make us your honorary family. We will cheer your victories, sympathize with your sorrows and believe in you even when you don't believe in yourself. And if that isn't what a family does, its pretty clise!

Multivitamin
Frustr8 replied to Lovingmyselfforever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Gummies usually not recommended because of their high corn syrup/ sugar, content. Isn't that, what you had surgery to escape? No fair jumping back into the fire when you escaped once! -
A glorified catheter. Your surgeon puts it down into your stomach to measure the diameter he wants to leave your sleeve.before removing the rest of your no longer needed stomach remnant. In theory the smaller the diameter, the more restiction, and less can be eaten at your meals. Although there ate several common sixes your surgeon is skillful enough,i can gauge the right size for each, person. Might be judged by height, activity level,,what his instructors advised him or her when they were "baby" surgeons, just learning the trade. Many facets but you chose the best, now let the best work for YOU!

Oh Yeah, Rhode Island Quality shining there! Small state but you represent it Great! -
Don't measure only pounds, measure inches lost and how you feel. Those are also important, the book of You that you are writing will still be a best seller, Believe in You- for you are great and good and you'll still show the world how things are done.
-
And I believe in YOU and I believe you'll make every goal you set!
