Feeling Under the Weather
Frustr8 replied to batty_vsg's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Check into the pneumo ones anyways my PCP already gave Tomkitten one and he's under 40, that way he doesn't bring new strains home to me. Preventive measures are good. -
If no one else comes up with anything, check out the Lean Cuisine frozen and such,at your grocery, low calorie , good protein levels, many without starchy veggies and mega good tastes Runs $3.50 or less per, and takes the thinking, out of the equation. Enjoy the tastes and flavors , liquids get uber boring, been there for 11+ weeks, would only wish,it on my worst enemies÷!!

Feeling Under the Weather
Frustr8 replied to batty_vsg's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Had both kinds of pneumonia shots, shingles, and get a flu shot yearly. Even if the flu shot, doesn't totally prevent,it, wouldn't want to see what shape I would be without IT. -
Never thought of CVS, I'll check my local store tomorrow. Thank you for the suggestion.

It has made me BETTER, yes traditionally it is cautioned that surgery makes it worse. Nope, I feel validated, it is a new start to a,new life, no longer in the Blue Put of Depression I am now seeing some sunlight🌟🌞🌟., Like alcoholics we never reach a total cure, but I now have the strenght to keep it in the background, inactivated. And my Wellbutrin has helped, went from 150mg Er twice daily pre to 100mg regular 3 times daily afterward. I have lost 64+ pounds since the end of July, something no ordinary diet or even childbirth and lactation did. God Bless Bradley J Needleman MD who took a chance on a 72 obese has-been, bless Ohio State University and his staff ,thank you for my RNY and most of all, for helping ME believe in ME again. Will prayer, a strong will, and the emotional support of others on Bariatric Pal, I BELIEVE,I,AM GOING TO MAKE IT TO MY FINAL VICTORY! And I know you can d9 it too!

SEPTEMBER 2018 SURGERIES AND SUCCESS
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
And the latest entry,in As Frustr8 Turns, the never-ending saga. Was having Precious Pouch spasming, hunger, ulcer activity, near dehydration, why really knows. So started entertaining menu ideas. Worst that could happen, I will puke it up. So chicken bone broth, maybe 3/4 to 1 cup , in bottom of blender, and add I can Hormel beanless Turkey. chili. Blend it into submission and then heat up small helping in microwave safe bowl. GRITTY, GRAINY but still started in on it , 1 scant teaspoon at a time. Slowly, smoothly, been close to an hour and NO Reflux back up. And the pouch pain his dissipated n first time,in I don't know how long. All the after surgery pain I didn't have, came back to visit me with a vengeance once I developed a stomal stricture and ulcers, bad eno7gh,i want to rock back and forth or look for my Norco pills. And they have their own risk, constipation💩and 3/4s. So prayers🙏 for some digestion, yeah I would welcome those, maybe make my dail6 total of 90 grams protein!😛❤😛 -
You Are NOT What You Eat
Frustr8 replied to Warren L. Huberman PhD.'s topic in Weight Loss Surgery Magazine
Maybe, LOL, when you live in Australia you're grateful every day not just one day a year. Ours got started as a way the English settlers wanted to thank the Native Americans for inviting them to share dinner. As things turned out, maybe they should have been a little more careful with their dinner invitations. In my own state, Ohio, we basically " ran them out of town", fat lot of gratitude THAT was! Do I have Native American blood, well I suspect I do, if you look at my ancestors, it is obvious. Asked an aunt on Daddy's side, and was, informed in a haughty voice, : We DO NOT DISCUSS that!" Yipes, I just wondered, besides her vehemnt denial leads me to believe, there is at,least " 1 Indian in the family woodpile or on the family tree", not much chance the Mingos which would be the proper tribe, would want Me anyway, and they assimulated into the Peoria tribe generations and generations ago. What good would a ginger-haired , fair-skinned cousin do them? Make you all a deal! If you have Wikipedia pull up either,Peoria Indian people or tribe. Ok, got it pulled up. You will see among the pictures a middle-aged lady there, spitting image of my Aunt Minnie, the one who nearly spit,in my face for asking. And what harm,in asking? At best I would be 1/8 or 1/16th, pretty diluted. Just would be nice to know I am in an ancestral homeland in Ohio . -

"No one post anymore"...January sleevers where r u?
Frustr8 replied to BINABINA25's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Howdy @Saxons, so nice hearing from a January 2018. person, that's about the time I cam onto Bariatric Pal, when I was aquaking "newbee" now I had my RNY finally,in September 2018, l9sing weight but not doing great. That said, hang around a while longer, all these new January 2019 seekers could use a veterans advice and confidence! -
Well I would think with no constriction of your stomach and/or esophagus it is very, very possible for such a thing to,happen.

FISHING FOR COMPLIMENTS
Frustr8 replied to GreenTealael's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well at this point I myself am not Fishing for Compliments, merely Hunting for Hope. Fix my stomal stricture, open operation if necessary, just repair me so I can be like other RnY veterans, brighten up my days and I will renew my Compliment Fishing License for the rest of my lifetime, And that is an iron-clad promise!**! -
Legged, never Lead in a quarter 🐎 horse. Back when I was a Baby Frustr8 I asked " if they are only 1/4 horse, is the rest mule?" then other person said that is they can run a quarter- mile very fast. What a relief , I thought maybe they resembled a creature from mythology.😛🐎😛

That works, we will be waiting to see,an Update. Bet,you, will look like "Wowsers!", and like many of us you will look like your own sister or daughter. Me I will still look like someone's grandma , but 2 positives. I will have a s***-eating grin across my face and I will be upright and breathing, that was rapidly becoming a non-certainly prior to my RNY. So Glory Glory for what it is worth!😛📦😛🎁📦What a Gift!

What’s the skinny on “excessively malodorous flatulence”?
Frustr8 replied to 🅺🅸🅼🅼🅸🅴🅺's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
BiddyNZ you, know, you are correct. I dont produce the flatus I once did. Maybe it's just because I have so many troubles concurrently, but what little gas I have I burp, belch and, puke out, it never makes it down to my"rumble seat" area. But you did bring up a GOOD POINT! -
@ sunshine and lollypops, love your pen name BTW, remember the Lesley Gore song. I hate to be a nagging old Grandma, but please please please do stop your smoking. Lesley Gore died of lung cancer a year or so back in New Jersey, please don't make us lose YOU too when we are just getting to know YOU!
-
You will be just fine, keep a smile😛 on your face, hope in your heart❤ and a firm resolve,to see👀this all through. Your SURGIBIRTHDAY will be one of the most beautiful and wonderful days of YOUR LIFE! Hugs and prayers🙏from ME and everyone in the Bariatric Pal World-wide family!

Sorry I meant Winny, didn't mean to change your pen name!
