Let the lying begin . . .
Frustr8 replied to Orchids&Dragons's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
How about1.OMG Are You still alive? 2. You are going to destroy your life if you don't start eating. 3 What do you think you have to prove? 4 Are you sure there isn't something really wrong with you? Answers 1.Yes I am still alive, you didn't miss my funeral 2. No I was at,more risk when. I was continuing to eat more calories than my body could burn. 3 Only thing to prove is that I am a wonderful worthwhile person, the kind of feedback. I never received before... . in my LIFE 4. No thank you, I have had physicals done. Why did you think you needed to ask? -
And that might be the very reason you had such pain, the more manipulation and 🙉monkey-doodling of your insides the more tender and painful things will be. Glad you're getting better now.😛

Marginal/anastomotic ulcer anyone?
Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
At the very least I will call into my hospital, see if anyone is working in the Bariatric Clinic on Christmas Eve🎄🎁🎅, maybe they can make Me feel Better about Me! -
Love it" He Liiieddd" but remember, He didn't Feel A Thing, he was pretty comfy after all!

I like your recipe also, even more simple than mine and I am an Eggplant fancier myself. May try to grow some this summer when the soil warms up. Did you know eggplant are only temprature tolerant down to 45 degrees F?
-
Boy I do get envious of many of you people, I know we all have our own paths to conquer but still......!
-
And @ sarahsaleh92 did you get better? And how are you doing 3 months later? Was there anything seriously wrong with your sleeve?
-
And if it works, it is the Right Thing To Do.👍😛

January surgeries?!

And while you are chasing her through the house, you will longer. be out of breath. Let the Good Times Roll!!! LOL -
Now where did distal come from? I distinctly keyed in HIATAL and HIATAL was what I meant! Mea Culpa!
-
One of worst things about distal hernia repair is that hurts with every breath you take. You see, it's your diaphragm, your breathing muscle that got cinched up, when they made the defect/hole smaller it was in a very strong muscle. And do you also have left shoulder pain? That's where the nerves originated, right below your gills when you were a teeny tiny embryo. Didn't know you once, had gills like a tadpole? Yep, you sure did, even resembled one somewhat. Embryology was one of the things I loved studying, while other girls my age were into Mills and Boon/Harlequin romances I was curled up with science and medical 📚. Give me a PDR, wave a Grays Anatomy at me and I'll follow you over a cliff, into an Ocean. If I had gotten my way, I had the potential to set medicine back on its heels. Alas now I am only an Old know-it-all on here, but I also never stopped trying to learn.😛👓💊

Stricture or hernia...oh my
Frustr8 replied to NYJenn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And I made a trip to my local ER for chest, pain this past Friday. After hours of laing there they said" atypical chest pain/ costochondritis" but my theory is Too much Alteplace Thursday wh8le they were trying to declot my,PICC line so they could draw out blood for my twice weekly blood testing. Took 4 and a half hours and I think my body was rebelling at the chemical intrusion. Oh well, they didn't tell me it was all in my head when my,left side of sternum pain was 🎁, no not that kind of present, not a gift at all! -
Marginal/anastomotic ulcer anyone?
Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
And my peeps, I am concerned. I am barely able to accept any foods. Oh broth and soup juice is okay but others pffft. This morning, I tried, yes I did, 1 and a half teaspoons of ground down oatmeal with a little skim milk to thin. And my,pouch started to hurt and I started getting Precious Warning- Attention Attention, I am Ready to Hurl÷ People I feel like I am regressing instead of improving and I want to cry my 👀 eyes out.💦Why can I not get any better when even the people who were not as wanting,of surgeries as I was, are healing, being able to progress their diets. Am I placed under a curse for waiting so late in my life to have surgery? Honest I am a Good person, worthy of everything good. Yes there is enough nutrition in my TPN to sustain my,life processes but it is not a full of Joy lifestyle. Maybe I am in a Blue Holiday funk, a periwinkle Blue one. Can someone help, this perpetual helper to feel better about herself?,I don't recall putting on an order for this kind of Life.😪 -
I was told it was gonna age me prematurely, I'm 73, there is NO prematurity to That!

Jazzy1125 forgot to mention that with 64 oz in , that got to go somewhere, in between sips you will be peeing, you will begin to believe your kidneys are by now a couple wrung-out sponges. One of my Bari- friends said that you should take your cup or bottle with you since that's where you will be spending most of Your Time! But it is all good, you're cleaning You out and it should help your recovery. She said her doctor asked,if she was getting any exercise? Yep chair to loo to bed and occasionally to the kitchen to fix family members food. Would he care to issue her a FitBit?

I also had the Wal-Mart, still NASTY! But maybe 1 skoosh better.

December Surgery Dates

And He Will Be, you will be sheltered with His Love, and please believe this, Saint Luke the Great Physician will be scrubbing in with your own surgeon. Go in with hope and a Smile on your Lips and you will awake with Joy, Grace and praising our God for the Love he showed by sending His Son! I love you Tangela, I am proud of you for taking this Big Step, but my love and belief in You is minor in comparison to God's L8ve for Us All. Amen and Amen! -
GALS who started their journey over 300 lb+<br /> +
Frustr8 replied to Frustr8's topic in The Gals' Room
My surgery weight was 319 on September 5th,2018 at 7AM, today 9:20AM December 23rd of 2018m With my TPN I might be having my first mini-stall but NBT, no big thing, I am alive, kicking and still on a healing path. and on Christmas 2017 I did not have that certainty. Thank you Doctor Roux for your namesake procedure, Thank You the Ohio State University Hospital- Wexner Medical Center for being a wonderful facility and hosting me on my Day of Days, and most of all THANK YOU Bradley J Needleman MD for being my surgeon, for taking the chance on an apprehensive 72 woman when few facilities woukd, for performing a beautiful scarcely scarcely scarring surgery. And at 3 and 3/4 months they have faded into all the stretch marks already present. And speaking of presents I am awarding you the ones🎁📦 I wish I could afford to make real! -
Well the day you prayed for, worked so hard for is almost b here. Try to get some rest tonight, I'm sure by now you have all the loose ends tied up at home, right? Okay tomorrow get up and go to your facility with firm conviction of the rightness of what you're doing, hope in your ❤, belief in your surgeon and their staff and plaster a great big_(1 step below S***eating grin) smile on your face, it is YOUR DAY, you are the STAR OF IT ALL.! But today do something I failed to do, take measurements all over your body, this is the LAST TIME you will be THIS SIZE! Yes, hips, waist, around "the Girls" but also upper and lower arms, wrists, thighs, calves and ankles and around your neck. Don't have to share these with, anyone else, these are a point of reference for the future! When I started losing, first places were forarms, wrists, face and neck, now Much of the rest is getting thinner but that was my first areas. And if you can and have someone help ing, frontal, back and profile pictures. Later when you look at them you will be gratified by your changes. I wish I had taken more pictures of the people at my hospital, they all treated me so fine and it would have been like a pictorial autograph. I have tried and tried to get a picture of my Dr Needleman, finally almost 6 months after meeting him,i got one in what I call his natural plumage, Scrubs, I had an unexpected rehospitalization November 28- December 5th and i got it Then! And promise you will update us when you make it safely(as You Will) through your surgery! Auntie Frustr8 will be Waiting!

LaurynLove come over to the Under400 for the first time in 7 years or the Gals starting over 300 pounds thread(which I was original poster and started) we are here to support and love you. I only started in the mid to upper 300s but I too know the Plump Princess struggles and there have been others at your weight that have sought and found success. And one lovely facet, you will tend. to drop weight faster than average after surgery, it's almost a given. I have never tried Whole Foods vitamins, considering their sterling reputation on other items, as long as they contain iron and the trace elements they should be okay. I myself have been on prenatal vitamins since June except for a brief post-surgical period when they switched me to ground up chewables👅, ycch, never want back THERE again, loathed them. My prenatal are neat, sweet, small yet complete. And my blood labs have been just ducky! Due to some other complications in my recovery I am on TPN, have had a PICC LINE in my upper left arm for 3.5 weeks, not as Scarey as it sounds, but I have twice weekly blood draws And everything is at proper levels where they should be.If you're curious about what happened, just ask, I have no problems discussing it. But you are very welcome on Bariatric Pal and we can help you further, just ask, okay?
