Well you are different, but that's not all bad. You knew when you were rolling into the Opreat8ng Theatre parts of you were going to be reconfigured, you knew a portion of YOU would be thrown in the surgical trash, but you believed your life would be made better by that small loss, and now you come to terms with THAT and move forward. If there are limitations, you work with what you can, work around the others, and trust the final product will be better. And that is the emotional growth you must go through to finish this journey , reach your goals and take the Victory Lap you deserve! I hope my explaination suffices. God Bless!

Weight loss stopped after 5 weeks?
Frustr8 replied to Barbara H.'s topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you BarbaraH, it's just a matter of time until they find the thing that helps cure me. Life may have tried to break my wings, that's okay for I have claws, I'll hold on with them until the answer comes. -
Serves him right for not noticing you before, but a great and unexpected NSV for You!

Things are seldom as scary, complicated, painful or terrible as you have built them up in your mind to be. DON'T SWEAT SMALL STUFF, and breaking newsflash,99% of life is composed of Small Stuff. I'm old as Dirt and I do know these things.

Back in the day, we used to have baby feeding bowls you put hot water into the bottom of. Shame they don't seem to make them anymore, I think they would be perfect.π

Don't be nervous all it does is tie you up in "nots" Step up to your finish line, take a deep breath, and then hop over!

Support and honesty needed

And February on, after your surgery water bloat is over, your losses will start, even if you hit a Stall later, you will continue to lose, and pretty soon even he will have to appreciate the New and improving You, if he doesn't that's his fault not yours. Do You, do it well, and believe always in You! -
Few things are as easy as gaining weight. And I think at our age we had a extra liability, our bodies and fat have been such good friends for so long, but it is a breakup that has to come for our own good.

Practice that, practice eating slowly and learning to take little bites. And learn to chew, chew, chew. Learn to not eat off of a TV tray in front of the TV and you will have set down habits that will make you a Sleeved Success Story!πππβ€

Ate things going any better for you @RuthD? As the year ends and 2019 loomed ahead I was wondering about you? -
@Vegan Bariatric, did you speak with your surgeon, are you still going ahead with your plans or are they on hold?
-
You might need to continue with your Zofran or other anti'nausea meds. Good thing I asked my PCP for a "script" because I still require it. And I am nearly 4 months out.

Don't blame the holidays for weight gain, you were probably fat in August too!

Nothing is too hard for us, we can do all they can do, we just have to take a break and the middle. And they are made out of plastic parts, they snap quickly, we were made of tempered steel, they made things strong and successful in the 40s and 50s. We are like the 9is Timex commercial, We take a licking and keep on ticking! Slow, smooth and steady has always beaten a "Flash in the Pan". You are doing this for You, not a spur of the moment decision, You do this with your eyes open for this is WHAT you really want. We can't repair the damage Time has done to us but we will live vibrantly with all our time left. And we shall show them what REAL CLASS looks like! It's fair to say my recovery has not without thorns but the bouquet of Beautiful pastel πRoses, it's so so worth it all and I would never look back at the chaos of my past life when my bright future lies ahead!πππ -
So so True Orchids and Dragons, unfortunately weight loss can be an endurance instead of a quick "once and you're done" day, but oh so so worth it all!
-
