Things pass through pretty quick, very few people have a sensation of being full and/or satisfied. That usually comes with solider foods.

Well vomiting is never a really good thing, doesn't help your healing pouch, irritates your esophagus and upper throat, a bad habit to get into. And I would think your electolytes get fouled up too. If you mean, can you rip up your stomach pouch once it's healed, I'm not quite sure. Will it dialate it so it's baggy, saggy, and needs reduced in size, that's a question for your own Bariatric Team. We are all learners still in the Weight Wars, not professionals, nor do we make such a claim.

Probably another dumb question, but....

Are you sure you mean losing weight and not losing weight?, could you mean losing inches and not losing weight? , because that has been on threads for discussion before. -
What will you do if Trump makes good on a threat to close the southern border? Just stay in San Diego or go back home?

I am not going to practice things until I get them right, I will practice until I no longer can get things wrong. And if things don't work out, I will yell "Plot Twist. and move on.And maybe that will make my New Year happier!

I Was Amazed When I Heard This
Frustr8 replied to Danny Paul's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No it's just most of us at that time we're on liquids, just starting purees, had tried a little soft, meat or other protein , had it all come back up, and here's someone chomping away at real meat, and having no one not of difficulty. Its like we were in two different worlds, a little jelly of the situation? Yep, maybe so! -
I think I told my story already on another thread, I remember the trip, the OR, the nice staff which my surgeon had introduced earlier, What I DON'T remember was recovery, if I was ever there. I woke up in the warm sunlight in my room. No pain, no sorrow, wasn't even sure they had even done surgery, I felt super duper fine.

So you are in a bilingual state of mind in Montreal. Ah but Montreal is a beautiful city, especially the old parts. Someday I shall visit again.

mousecat medical/dietary saga thread
Frustr8 replied to mousecat88's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Yeah I know where you're coming from, my PCP was saying maybe the next step for me is a J Tube, I don't want a J Tube, that is admitting to the whole world that I am a gastric cripple, and it is not too far a leap that my bypass made me THAT WAY. I swore I would never be ungrateful, bad- mouth my facility, my surgeon, but this should not be the way the story ends. Yours holds 4 oz , I doubt mine holds for than 2, maybe 3 oz tops. Usually PP will accept in teaspoons not oz, and she should be old enough to willingly allow more. -
Oh my sweet bippy, I certainly hope not, I am afraid I will resemble that worlds ugliest dog on Yahoo except I don't have his overbite.

Well that might be encouraging, when I was eating by mouth I averaged 550-700 calories, now I am on TPN of 1430, I should be dropping weight like a son-of-gun. Oh that it turns out to be correct. I am extremely fearful that my "honeymoon period" died a-borning, I am stalled at this weight level forever.💦And all of sorrows of obesity may never depart.😪

And I am cheering you and all my other Bari- mates, we are starting 2019 in better, healthier state than we were just a year ago . Hurray for each of US.

Marginal/anastomotic ulcer anyone?
Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Well get back on the Carafate, it is supposed to help the ulcers heal, I am chugging down the slurry every 6 hours, and I don't much like it. I say it tastes like flour water, but I have to be on it 3 months minimum. And you're lucky if you get enough protein by mouth, that's one of the reasons I have the PICC line, I just couldn't. In some ways I like my TPN, I have felt much better all the way around, but there is always a risk of getting an infection in my blood stream. Today while I was off getting my twice weekly, blood draw, they called from OSU, the woman today said they might wait until January 25 for the next scope, not what I was told last week. Maybe one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Woman today said she spoke with Dr Noria, nurse last week said she talked to Dr Needleman, He's my surgeon but she does the scoping, nurse said he wanted the results before January 15th. So I guess I call back on the 2nd, scheduler had already left when I returned. her call. My pouch is happy today so far, but I haven't ate anything by mouth, try her and she will complain, -
mousecat medical/dietary saga thread

Made it twice as big as it should be, what kind of goofus maneuver is that? I fixed you but not too good? That makes about sense as Dr Noria saying on one of my papers Precious Pouch is 5 cm long, is that about 2 inches or so? Now that sounds Small to me.I ain't got much and you have more than efficient? I am going to have to ponder this. -
Bone broth is good, homemade more so. Until I had my surgery I had forgotten how much I really don't like chicken🐥 broth, especially in a naked state. Think I will throw in onions, celery and carrots, even if I pitch it later, it won't be icky bland anymore.🐥

Allergic to the glue and an acne explosion
Frustr8 replied to GizzlyKitten's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And I have scars on the "girls", stupid surgeon , I told him vervally, asked him to enter it in my charts that I have a big bad adhesive sensitivity. He was doing.biopsies on both breasts, got done, slapped elastoplast on them, like you it torn the top layer of skin off, and after it healed it was shinier than the other skin. Guess I should put postanotes over both nipples. LOL with an shoulder shrug. -
And the greatest sin in My Mind? They are made with high fructose corn syrup, sugar or concentrated fruit syrup. As a barely successful former carb-aholic , why jump back into the fire in the furnace?

Marginal/anastomotic ulcer anyone?
Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Called, she's back, left landline # as well as cell, let's hope we can get this settled, I hate loose ends. -
I got a pill cutter at CVS, I can't believe they also wouldn't have a crus her. I lucked out, Ohio State gives every Bariatric patient one as a gift. Has the Ohio State symbol on it but I don't mind that!

Worried Sweet-Tooth with question

Never accept that you are a sour lemon drop, you are high-quality, you are a Pink Starburst!🎋🎉🌈 -
Well you know Deneen ,while I am scheduling all these after- January 1st medical appointments I really should schedule a follow up with my pulmonologist Dr Hussein, haven't because I should get an X-Ray at his hospital on the East side of Columbus and all my other stuff is through Ohio State University or here in Mount Vernon. Considering I have mild COPD I shouldn't be 🙈🙉🙊monkey-doodling with my life, should I?

Allergic to the glue and an acne explosion

As your fat starts to melt and your body starts to use it for fuel i,stead of carbohydrates hormones and other nasties get released also. Its like you have the puberty from Hades suddenly, time should heal it on its own, if not consult a dermatologist, it must be miserable to live through. And I also am allergic to adhesives, it took longer for my left knee to heal because that ortho surgeon was a glue-er instead of a stapler like ortho #1. And I had warned him, but surgeons tend to be conceited and don't listen to advice. I guess you do have to be prettybrave up but holes in people. -
