Pharmacy issues with getting pain meds filled
Frustr8 replied to Coexister's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My" Wally" wouldn't honor a script for B12, ended getting mine from Bariatric Pal,and am well-satisfied with their taste, price and quick delivery, almost as fast as arguing with the Wal-Mart pharmacist about why every time Tomkitten or I order they balk on at least 1 prescription. And a new cute trick, PCP writes 6 refills but they only put 3x on the bottles. Caught them red-handed, you see. we both ask for a print-out summary from PCP office and there is clearly noted "6 refills" on Tomkittens meds. And some of his are ones he has taken for 10+ years but we have to wait for them to tell us how they should be taken? Get real, Bozo in the White Jacket, we could give YOU the tutorial! -
Only time we accept the term Loser is on our Bench of Victory, in all ozther facets you are right WE ARE🏆WINNERS!

How much is this Whey Isolate at Wal-Mart? Considering purchasing some.

Funny, been a little less than 4 months and I barely can see mine. I guess I won the skin scar lottery, after all.

You build yourself up and up preparing for your surgery, when you go home often there is a let-down, you may not feel really great, stiff, sore and gassy. More often than not as the days pass things will smooth out, if not reach out to your doctor or someone else you trust. We all need help at one time or another, no shame in that.

Rose Pollard, I don't know why my phone does not like your name, I think it and other flower names are very pretty.
-
I hope someday myself to make it to Onederland, still have a ways to go, but I also have come pretty far so I have faith I will someday be there, 2019 May just be my year to SHINE!
-
And Rose Pillars how are you doing now? Have you both started on pre-surgery appointments? I have another appointment myself at Martha Morehouse with Dr Needleman January 15th, you never know, our paths might someday cross, after all its a small world we live in.

So what happened @ Ofordnew, did you receive your surgery? And if so how are you doing now?

January surgeries?!

Still okay, one of my :CO-September Bypassers also had him as her surgeon, he was wonderful and did perfect by her and I am sure he will for you also. We just did not mean as we should have. He really is an excellent surgeon, Mount Carmel would not have made him Chief if he was not. And I do wish you a smooth successful surgery, okay? -
I meant to say Plotted and Planned, oh I had such high hopes everything would be sunny, for 2 weeks it was and then..... ulcerstions and a Structure in Precious Pouch happened and things never were quite the same. I knew I might be a special patient, but This Special I could have done without! But still Happy New Year 2019,and let's see what it holds for me!

Well I just but a frozen chicken breast in the oven, now that is optimisim, isn't it? Oh well Tomkitten can have the rest after I whittle a tiny bit off. Do wish my surgeons would have a commitee meeting, Dr Needleman wanted me on a Stage 3 diet at 2 weeks, 4 months in and Dr Noria gave me and is keeping me on TPN,and a token something by mouth if I want, Dr Needleman wanted me to have another scope before my January 15th appointment with him, Dr Noria, at last report, planned to schedule me for it January 25th. Somebody in DoctorLand is going to be pretty peeved about this situation. Me, I have an unending supply of Carafate, Zofran, prenatal vitamins, B12 and Dexilent, that and TPN are what I am surviving on. And I am willing to climb on their scoping table and go to sleep whenever it is scheduled, but I would like it sooner than later. And in case I build up too big a blood supply, they drain off syringefuls twice a week. One of the benefits of a PICC line, it can be drawn there instead of bruising every vein in my arms trying to get a needle in. Sure not the recovery from RnY I 0litted and planned for. But I have lost 50 or so pounds in 4 months, I planned to do it with limited portions, plenty of fluids and exercise like the usual WL patients. Ah Man proposes, God disposes and it don't work to get upset, it just is what it is!

So where in Columbus are you having your surgery? I had mine at OSU last September with Dr Needleman. If I can help you to be less scared I will be only too happy to help. And I also was an RnY. -
I hope you can do it, well shoot, I DO believe you can and will do it! GO FOR IT!

And Sonyawon don't you have a 2-year Surgiversity coming up? Congratulations and thank you for your inspiration to the rest of us!

Central part, 48 miles NE of Columbus, where I had my surgery at Ohio State University, in Mount Vernon, the hometown of Daniel Decatur Emmett, who composed DIXIE, Paul Lynde, the late Hollywood actor and now ME, although I was actually born in Newark, 23 miles South of here, because that's where my parents were living. And I usually live in sweats, sleep in sweats, and don't defrost out until May when the rest of the world turns on Air Conditioning and starts fanning themselves!⛄❄⛄
