Teach me how to "paper-clip pix" into a Bariatric Pal submission from an Android phone cause I have nary a clue. I finally sent one to Orchids and Dragons to prove I exist, that's through e-mail, I know how that is done. -

And may tomorrow dawn bright and beautiful for you, may YOUR surgery be successful and may YOUR future be all you desire! Update us on your story as it unfolds, please? -
Did you know for the right amount of money they will launch. your cremainsbinto Outer Space? Be just my luck to find some cut-rate group on the internet and I get used for crop-dusting instead. Gee Farmer Jones, I don't know why that application failed, maybe faulty powder!

So how is Sunday going for you? Are you pretty sore? How does it rank pain-wise with the last surgery? And when do you get to go home? -
OMG that is so scary, glad you are better now.

Then she might get accused of being "nuts" with the walnuts. -
Okay, BostonWLKC, it is worth the try. Would you believe I don't have an Amazon Prime account? Bet everyone on Bariatric Pal younger than me does. Well, more than the time of life to grow more Cyber-Davey. Turn on computer, make sure search engine engaged, okay that's a fine start.....

I'm sure there are numerous ones in the Delmarva area; let's hope you find one perfect for YOU.

Sad in a way, isn't it? We now live in a world where motives are questioned and you are guilty until proved innocent. Children, the old philosopher has to mourn this, the good old days were not so suspicious, oh they were not perfect but we still believed in honesty, we respected and appreciated our fellow man and it was a kinder, gentler time frame. On my way home from school I knew safe houses, where if I was frightened by occurances or strangers, they would welcome me in, keep me safe until I could be reunited with my parents. I don't even know my neighbors that well. One I do know , his father died, I had no clue, in my childhood and youth, someone,in the neighborhood would have taken up a collection for flowers, and then there would be an arrrangement at the funeral. Might have said "From the Jones Street neighbors" and had each families names on it. Didn't know Big Jim died until a week later, too late then to send them a cassarole, we used to do that too, that way the grieving family didn't have to bother cooking.

What an excellent idea-- Danny Paul, I have always liked you but now I like you even more! This is something I can do too!

Well I'm 4 months now, my hair as a redhead always will be thinner than brunettes, only thong I can see, I have a new part line in my hair, but if I use mousse or gel, spike it a little, only my hairdresser has noticed a difference and she is not a Chatty Cathy. 8bstead she tells me how proud she is of me for doing WLS at my age. I was worried for a while maybe it would come back gray or white, then I realized if I have not done either at 73, I probably never will.So if I look slightly mangy, NBT anyway!

I just tossed some strawberries into some of my repulsive vanilla protein shake, repulsive because after 25 weeks of protein shakes I have grown to loathe them, especially thick white tasteless vanilla. I was a moderately happy camper with Premier Protein and it's flavors, especially peaches and cream and caramel, then Wal-Mart in their infinite stupidity stopped stocking anything but chocolate, which I have been allergic to for 43 years and the verdompt vanilla. And I have had the tag ends of several vanilla varieties taking up space in the fridge. Time to either drink(shudder) or pitch them. Now my actual nutrition comes from TPN running through my PiCC line, although the TPN people said I don't need to, Dr Needlemans nurse-practitioner said I can have one liquid meal daily, so I don't forget how to swallow. Flimsy excuse there, how she think I take all those pills if I don't swallow? Se I usually brew up a strawberry whey protein shake made with skim milk and sip on it all day, then I have that 16 oz down by nightfall. Well my skim milk expired and I haven't bought more yet hence the doctored up muscle milk.Maybe the strawberries will kill the rampant pervasive vanilla taste. Sure hopeful. I think the TPN has stalled me, I regained nutrition and better protein levels to only lose my plummet with weight loss. I think there is a Bible verse for this: what does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul? Well what did it profit me to attempt weight loss only to have the 1430 calories of TPN bring it to a screeching halt? Oh a smart personage told me I should still lose 1-2 pounds a week on that but I AM NOT SO SURE. Oh I feel better, no dizziness, I am well hydrated, thinking clearer, all that good stuff but did I undergo that major surgery just to be stopped short of progress?

And Good Wishes to you both, life itself is an education but pleased to see you are both going further.

Clothing while you're losing weight
Frustr8 replied to xMissyChrissy's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Still wearing my same sweatsuit and sweaters wardrobes dang it! Good news the panties I bought accidently at Wally World over a year ago that were too small now fit, I am on the verge of undergrowing some of my bras, and I think my legs are starting to look less like elephant foot umberella holders, and , dare it say it? curves and definition like normal ladies, rump starting to flatten out but belly looks balloon air has leaking out of, rather blobby and flaccid. And my waist is inching smaller, oh I may never make 36-24-36 but maybe 40-27-38? that was in my prime, maybe 20 years old, oh being alive is reward itself, but I would like to be known or spoke of, by my name instead of so-and-so's fat whatever, be it mom, grandmom or friend. And I plan to be more decisive instead of appeasing everybody. The roadway of life is littered with flat squirrels who failed to make a decision. And when I replace clothing it will be in pastels, bright shades, maybe polka dots or plaidsn tired of retiring into the background of life. I am going to be so vibrant I shall vibrate! -
And now it is Surgery Eve for you, so exciting. God watch over and keep you safe tomorrow and may you awaken to a brand new and beautiful future!

I wasn't nervous about my surgery until I found this site
Frustr8 replied to MikeIL's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's something good about educating yourself. You go from blissful ignorance to thoughtful uncertainty to firm resolve. a And you base your decision on what you have learned and also what you feel within your heart and soul. And if you are true to yourself, nothing false will have a chance in your life. -
When can we eat salad again?
Frustr8 replied to AnnaWallace's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have some Happy News for you. Chocolate comes from Cocao which is a plant. Therefore chocolate must be a salad itself. LOL -
The fact that there is a Highway To Help and only a Stairway to Heaven shows the amount of Traffic Flow expected.

I bought some at Wal-Mart, forget the brand, Atkins? anyway it wasn't merely coffee- tasting, it had strong caffeine count, took it back and got something else.

I have been comparing my before and after, there is a difference in appearance, but I still think I look like road kills My body is some smaller but my face, my face is a wreck, sallow skin, every age spot shows, my cheeks look concave, sunken in and I have now visible wrinkles, oh my PCP just loves how I look, told me so Thursday, glad he is pleased, wish I was too. Only thing I resent about my Weight loss, I look like 2 dead relatives, I don't recognize myself anymore and that is scary😥😪I have gained a reduction in weight but I have lost ME, am I a person anymore?

Any of you develop extreme eye dryness??
Frustr8 replied to Chuck Clasik's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Must run in my family because both my son and I have that, and he does use Refresh Eye Drops also. -
Hmm first thing that comes to mind for me when I hear " withdrawal" is becoming agoraphobic, staying inside your home because people and crowds frighten you. Did you know agoraphobia actually stands for " fear of the marketplace"? A liberal arts education teachs you a bunch of useless but interesting trivia.

Is anyone in the Louisville, KY area?
Frustr8 replied to MeaganMB's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Now veggie chili, that does sound good. I l8ke Wendy's chili, only fault it has, they put celery in it. Now I like celery as a rule, a base veggie in my cheesy potato soup but in chili, nope. And I looked up ingredients for Cincy chip in can't have it no more, it has cocoa powder in it,been allergic to chocolate for 43 years now. Wah Wah💦 One of my kinfolk-in- law makes White chicken chili, an abomination, you can call it soup or a ragout, but don't say it's chili.
