I do regret how my body is acting now, didn't plan to have a PICC LINE and on Total ParenteI Nutrition 12 hours a day, but that is far from permanent. I am still a lot smaller than I was a year ago, lost somewhere between 50-60 pounds since my RnY 4 months ago, and never will I be ungrateful for the surgery and surgeon that made it som I am so much happier than I was before it happened. I just had a rare complication to it all, but between my 2 surgeons and myself, we are a team to get me better and I believe it will be happening, just a bump on my road to health.

4 Week Liquid Diet - Need Encouragement!
Frustr8 replied to Sunshine&Lemons's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Could be hormonal if you are the right age still for that. I did mine for the entire month of August, paid off, my surgeon complimented me on my liver, said it was as smooth and sleek as a newborn calf. Once I made sure he wasn't planning to sell me for veal, I was pretty proud of ME. And I did it all with a natural Basal Metabolism Rate of a Seasick Sea 🐌, so I believe, if you hold to it, you're going to do just fine.😝 -
Now you don't have to play a role for someone else, freeing isn't it? You can be yourself and know in your heart it is just where you really should be.

Yeah, we never get too old for learning experiences, look at all the things I am learning that I didn't think I wanted to know. It might actually lay some of her fears to rest if she sees nobody is out to hurt her baby. No matter YOU think you are, inside you will always remain HER BABY, she just needs to get settled in her mind BABY ISN'T GETTING HARMED! She must be a wonderful oerson, look at the nice daughter she has!👸👍👵

Oh I believe in you and I know you never ran from a challenge. You'll do it!

Coughing is the pits but I thought I would rip apart when I sneezed right after surgery. You shouldn't have abdominal surgery and have hay fever at the same time! LOL
-
I think I may be in the wrong location I want to live in an Universe where mosquitos suck fat instead of blood, don't you?

Found something in my readings to share Superwoman-Single Batwoman-Single Wonder Woman-Single And this is why I am single, I'm really a Superhero! Have a Wonderful Day!

If someone remarks on your black clothing, asks you "Whose funeral?" tell them , I haven't decided yet! Probably then the non-your-business will cease. LOL

I once had a doctor who informed me " no baby should be nursed over a month" Why? Because if you bottle-feed you can control their calories better. Hmm maybe he was a classmate of the above doctor? And thank God, I kicked him off my medical roster, could not see a reason staying there.

do you tell your weight lost
Frustr8 replied to Xapphirea's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
If I tell them the truth, I can see it in their 👀 eyes, OMG , JUST HOW BIG WERE YOU? When you start in the mid 300s, even though you are in the mid-200s now, you still are larger than the "average" person your age. Most 73 years are thin or dead, I'm just an exception, aren't I? Last person I smiled as sweetly as possible Thank you for noticing and asking ( although it is none of your business) now,if you will excuse me, I would like to finish my shopping. You may have started this conversation but I am terminating it. Bye Bye!👋 -
Well Best Wishes for tomorrow & may YOUR surgery be wonderful and your healings smooth. Keep us updated on your Weight loss journey.

Maybe try a different type of workout, if you're doing cardio, add in some weights? Increase your walking, cheapest exercise there is.If it is too cold outside, mall walk. I think you might be in the Pacific Northwest, skiing and other snow sports? Its like your body has got complacent, change your diet up. These are ideas I have gleaned on here. And maybe this is where your body wants to be, maybe you have swiched into maintenance and no longer in active weight loss. My own goal is 175, I'm still in the mid- 200s, but my bariatric team member states at my age I might break the Onederland barrier, and the last 20 never goes away because of my age(73), could I live with that? Yeah, I said but I still want to try for the 170s if I can.😝📝😝

Small consistent steps, day by day you will get better, but very proud of you 3!😝👍

stricture problem or just food sensitivity

Nothing changed but I am still hopeful, it will be a Good Year for me, just somewhat deferred. -
You have made a very good start, now onward to your victory!

Not too many require it, but some do. Well you won't have to worry about doing #2 right after surgery cause you will be shiny clean inside. Yeah it isn't all giggles and laughs, last doctor who ordered it for me, by the time I got through I wanted him drawn, quartered and then castrated . He should call himself blessed he was 50 miles away from my wrath! Now Tomkitten when he went through "the purge" in his pictures you can see lime jello remnants still hanging on the colon wall in a few places, and I know he had expelled all he could. I am not due for another colonoscopy until 2022 unless Drs Needleman and Noria are feeling froggy🐸 and since they have been visiting the upper half of my digestive system, they have curiosity to view the lower half too. If they do, me and the Christmas Goose will have something in common, somebody. wrung our necks to keep us from quacking and squaking too much.🐦

Things To Do During Recovery Period
Frustr8 replied to CeeCee2018's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you people think Netflix is worth the hoopla? Spectrum keeps having adverts on our cable, haven't pushed the thing for a free trial membership, but is it worth the money outlay after that? -
Things To Do During Recovery Period

Don't Even have to post a sign " UPS- right back here", I am thinking of putting one up for FedEx, you see the front door, the one you can see from the street, belongs to the future upstairs apartment( due to be finished Spring 2019) our entrances are at the side and in the back. Thought I would put up sign " Please come. to other entrance" would you believe Wally World does not stock such a sign? Guess I will have to go to the hardware store downtown , in the meantime people pound on the door there, we have to go to the side one and yell " Back here Doofus!" See we can hear them because it's right next door to our living room but where there used to be a door into the hallway has a panel insert instead , kinda makes it like a focal wall highlight. I told Tomkitten maybe I will put numbers like 302-1/2 there, so deliveries know we are plain 302. Either that or "302 Deliveries- please use side door" -
think I will order some, googled it and found accessible places. ThanksEd_NW!

Out of dietary chaos you have found your clarity, Way to Go Babe!😝👍

Looks like Zipfizz is good-for-you version of the Fizzie Tablets of my youth, what the hey, it would perk up my drinking schedule. Does it increase your burping much?

Things To Do During Recovery Period
Frustr8 replied to CeeCee2018's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's what they say about me at Bariatric Pal Store, see I use my accrued points and then pay for shipping, normally over $ 60 purchases ship free, but this is how the Store Mavens and I have worked things out, I had such a bunch of points accrued, comes from originating thteads, and weighing on everything interesting. Last time I ordered they asked " shall we ship it to ( insert street address)?, Yipes I AM INFAMOUS! -
IN my backwaters of a place, I had never heard of it, but might look into it.
