Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
Frustr8 replied to FluffyChix's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Are you using your Aggie Power to be a dieting success? -
Sophie I am also a September Song, my RnY was the 5th, that being said, I am also a great fan of the cable channels FYI, HGTV and DIY, when they renovate and remodel they tear the buildings back to the support studs on the walls before they do their magic. That, my dear, is what we are doing, like the remodelers things are temporarily a big mess. And I believe that's what you and I are going through emotionally. We are rebuilding us, and we, like those houses, are going to have increased market value,be more desirable products. So as we throw our fat, pain and sorrow into a virtual dumpster, clean up our lives of poor diets, deadening our emotions with food as we once did, we are still works in progress but WOW how cool we will end up being! Iron if it's therapy, you are tidying up your best and that isn't bad at all! I live with my Tomkitten, my son, I was raging around ,scrubbing down a wall. He made a remark about raging hormones, I snapped at him " Now you know what I went through when You were a Teenager" so go iron a teeshirt and I'll scrub that spot only I can see, and WE BOTH WILL BE JUST FINE!😛💦😛

See if you can find a lumbar pillow to fit in the hollow of your back. I have thought about a memory foam pillow to sit on, since I lost my rump fat it's hard sitting on chairs. But really I don't want my cushion of fat back there any more!

Four days post surgery, question on stomach gurgling
Frustr8 replied to Elizabeth Klisiewicz's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My sleeved friend said her son poked fun at how her tummy sounds like a toilet flushing at times, She told him " Daily I am flushing my fat away" and smiled. LOL , got to 💖 her positive attitude! -
@Bears-Beets-Barbells, you just helped me! I have been upset as my fat started melting off(FYI I am 3 months behind you) I felt I was growing ugly , starting to resemble other family members I never thought I resembled, alas all dead, now I Shall smile at me, say "Frustr8 you are just having a trauma mode. Things are realigning, you are revamping YOU, and things are going to be fine after all!" I have lost 50 pounds in 4 months, I pray at 7 months I will be doing as good as you June Bugs and I hope your💪 shoulder grows stronger and heals up wonderfully for you! Have a shiny sparkling day today!😛🌈😛

Both of these are acids, can't see how additional acid is going to help the situation. -

The organization is called Compassionate Friends, we have chapters in Ohio , I can't help but believe New York state has them also. Never will you make sense of what happened, but it has helped many of my friendsm -

After years of f8ngernails that split and broke, my fingernails are looking good and are actually strong. Who'd have thunk it would be that way. Either it's the TPN or my healthy is starting to return. Either way, Yippee Skippee!😝👍😅

Suboxone before sleeve?
Frustr8 replied to HopefulonLI's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is for opioid withdrawal, isn't it? A little easier on you than some of the others like methadone. Unless I am not remembering correctly. -
So have you guys had your first appointments by now? If so, do you like your doctors, do you think you will be able to work with them? Does everybody have to fulfill the 6 months of preparation orvarevsone of you on a faster track?

And I hope will hear how everyone did soon, I want to know everything is fine NOW!

I hope we are raising the next generation of girls to love themselves better and accept that. they are worthy individuals. It will be a better world when we can do for ourselves instead of having someone put expectations of where they think we belong. I know I was so busy making others happy that I lost myself in the process. And being a soggy doormat is not a worthwhile goal.

Yes I also take Miralax twice a day, or I am supposed to. A couple times I only did one and I started getting the #2 roadblocks once again. And you know. what that can be!

I started my journey FINALLY!
Frustr8 replied to Reducingraven's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Well welcome to you. Raven you're about the weight I was at my surgery 4 months ago and I have lost 50 pounds, I am also 5ft8in but a whole lot older. I turned 73 the Day after Christmas, so just about the oldest on Bariatric Pal, makes not much difference, because I have all the joys and much of the trials of everyone else. I am a RnY bypass but I know a lot of the other procedures, especially the VSG and ESG. Is there any questions you would answered, anything I can help with? I had a very good surgery and wish that for everyone else. I live in Central Ohio, about 50 miles NE of the hospital where I had my surgery. -
I buried my 15 year old grand-son
Frustr8 replied to ProudGrammy's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I have an inkling, last Friday was the 11th anniversary of my middle child and first-born son Kevin who died at the age of 31., 17 hours after he walked into our local ER under his own power. And yes, to bury a son or grandson, is a heartache you scarcely can survive. My arms ache to hold him, my ears to hear his voice and my eyes to see him alive and healthy and I know it shall never be again! 💦and a hug for you all. -
