The things we think will break us; simply serve to remake us.

OMG sounds like you want to chew something real bad, even if it's your own arm. Maybe we should get a collection up, but you a teeshirt, logo would read "Dangerous when Peeved or Hungry" LOL but it will get better when your diet progresses through the stages.๐

Band to sleeve revision
Frustr8 replied to tmposton's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Read the warning our founder Alex Brecher has written, Dr Almanza and his clinic are a definite health risk, the CDC as well says so. -
My PCP scheduled me for a Bone Scan February 7th, perhaps,THIS is why; I am relatively certain he reads as much,as I Do, and folks I read lots! Self-taught at 2-and-half years, yeah you saw that correctly. I was the youngest person in my city and library to have a card, well before 4. Mama took me in there, queried the Head Librarian " How old do you have to be to receive a card?", answer was "late in Grade 1, because children don't read well until then". Mama said " But she reads already!" Librarian , her name was Miss Edwina Fitzgerald, went to reach an Early Reader to test me, Mama said :" No No, something without pictures" so a Grade 5 level was proffered, which I read 7 pages of letter-perfect, why not? One of the books I started with was the New Testament at home, matter of fact, the story in the family goes, I started learning to read because I got peeved, Mama wanted to do housework, like laundry instead of reading to ME. So-o-o! I really don't remember Not Reading that well. Any-whoo I am a RnY and 73 so Maybe It Is a GOOD THING.๐โ

They call it "the choking game", games are supposed to be fun and harmless, but this one has such deadly consequences. And few realize it is so prevalent until something like this happens. -
And Good Luck,to you, Courtney. May your future surgery be all you dream,it will be!

Marginal/anastomotic ulcer anyone?
Frustr8 replied to eudys3's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Still having pain in that ulcer area, the right subcostal, where if I had a gall bladder, that's where I feel it. And today I threw up again, and my,mind wanted that soup so bad, and my pouch refused to hold it in so it could digest! -
mousecat medical/dietary saga thread
Frustr8 replied to mousecat88's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Well I didn't get to see Dr Needleman Tuesday but I did see Valerie his Senior Nurse Practioner. She is happy I look healthier even if I only lost 2 pounds since December, said I will just have a slower trek because of the TPN but I will still, regain my momentum. Endoscopy is still on for the 25th, don't know it will solve any questions. Woke up this morning with the right subcostal pain, Dr Noria said that's my ulcers romping and stomping in there. I made chili night before last, it was pretty fine, but I heated some up for me in the microwave. And after 10 minutes it all came back,up. Valerie said I should be on Stage 4, and my mind says " You can handle it, just take it slow", it's writing checks my body refuses to cash. Precious says " Oh no you don't!" and I'm off to the races again. I asked if I will always be a Gastric Cripple, they all say" Of Course Not" but I just aren't so sure. This feels like it has gone on FOREVERรท They say I might still be healing inside. My blood work is turning out very very good except my iron is low, that's something they can't enrich my TPN with so I will need to get some iron, I think I read the fumerate variety is best, don't know how much it would cost at Wally or a drug store, or maybe I need a prescription from the Doctor. Are your bowels doing any better for you? That seems to be your trial thing. -
You are the size I dream to be, thank you for submitting the picture!๐๐

Never too late unless you let it be. Are you resolved to climb back on the bandwagon and are you a reformed weight loser? One slip does not trip you up, repeated ones might! You are on Optifast for a Good reason, to get ready for your surgery, and I doubt it was your plan to throw all your hard work away. You're human, we all are, but stay the course, I can assure you it is Worth It All! Keep us posted on your journey and update us when your surgery is completed,okay?๐๐๐

Boats don't sink because of the water around them but from the water that gets within. Do not let negative thoughts to get within you and sink your promise of a future.

When some things go wrong; take a moment to be thankful for the many things that are going right.

Well I am looking forward to a SVN, a "scale victory now", there was a point where Tomkitten๐ฏand I were about 75 pounds apart, he is also losing a little bit but not like I am! Somewhere between Easter and Mothers Day I should equal or diminish past him! And then he can call me his LITTLE MAMA and I will rock it to the treetops! Thank you again Drs Needleman and Noria for being my surgical helpers , giving me a chance for a future out of Obesity. I may never make it past mere Overweight but I will be proud at any rate. And my current mantra will be; I SHALL MAKE THE REST OF MY LIFE THE BEST OF MY LIFE!๐๐๐
