    Water Flavor Enhancers

Natural is almost always better, I like sprigs of Mint or a slice of citrus(lemon, lime or orange) in mine.

If a girl wants to be a legend, I figure she should be. Calamity Jane- Old West (1800s) Gunslinger.
  5. Yes that is why I have Pataday eye drops prescribed by my 👓eye care professional. Without them my eyes are dry , itchy and I try to rub them while I sleep.👀

    Bypass a laugh!

That is one of the reasons you have that plastic incentive spirometer to use, keeps you from developing pneumonia, helps get rid of your left- over gas.
  12. I would break it down to segments on that long a trip. Get out, walk and take bathroom breaks often. Take plenty of fluids along so you don't get dehydrated. And remember you may still tire out quicker than you used to.

    Hydration and exercise after bypass

And I trust all went well @ GettinSkinnywithit and you are well on the road to healing and starting a bright future.
  14. Well perhaps it is low calories or low protein like I had, I am thinking clearer after my TPN was introduced more like the good parts of my presurg life, although there were many facets I don't like to remember, maintaining a sense of humor is important to me. After all, none of us will be leaving this world alive, might as well make our lives together pleasant.

    ❤ JANUARY 2019 CHALLENGE ❤

My proudest 2018 moment? Well It was when I was rolling into the Operation Room at OSU at a couple minutes past 7 on My Wonder Wednesday September 5th 2018. I had been through so much in the 3 years I had been seeking surgery, the ups, the downs, the promises that turned into lies from Surgeon #1.The people who told me I was too old, that I was unworthy, that I never would pass my pre-surgical specialist consults, that I would never find a surgeon willing to even touch a 72 year person. I had my revenge by being commited and successful in all things that mattered. If I hadn't been lying down and with a little Happy happy Joy Juice my anesthesiologist Dave had slipped into my IV already, I would have stood up, gone into a chorus of We are The Champions, and put my arms over my head like a prize-fighter! And there was my Dr Needleman , waving from my left like he promised, and the rightness of it all , almost made me cry. But there were no tears, no fears, no last second qualms, I was where I was meant to be and from that moment on, my new life began.
  16. And I am so old I remember seeing Arthur and Kathryn Murray dancing on TV . Gosh I hate to admit I am That Old!
  17. Stouffers in Cleveland has been helping the people off from Lewis Space Center, quite a few beaty schools and barber's are giving haircuts and make-overs for free to keep up the morale but the food banks are having trouble keeping up with demands. How long can this go on? People are on furlough that never were before. Hope this doesn't bring a recession or similar!

    Honesty

And not every successful posts much, usually more skewed towards complaints, the happy people are off living the Life of Riley and doing well. But a lot more happy posters since I started over a year ago, and although some facets of mine have not been perfect, I don't regret my surgery, wish I could have done it at a younger age, but I would never want to go back to the Old Frustr8, she was a sick unhappy lady with a lot of pain and sorrow. That was over a hundred pounds ago, and still have 80 or so to go where my goal is. I don't know how low I can go, but at 5ft8in anything below 200 would be a major blessing, I might never make it down to 175 at my age. And that will still be okay.
  19. Check the Maryland suburbs, ivseem to recall someone in Prince George's County mentioning one a while back, hope she might still be active. Maybe St Vincent Dr Paul or another church- based thrift store could be grateful for them. All else fails Volunteers of America, Salvation Army or Goodwill although I wish they could go to a Bariatric sister in need.
  20. Wow that would be a problem, my mama would make you wear bell bottoms until it balances out. Gosh I hated bell bottoms, the sloppiness and sloppiness drove me bonkers. I once had a Middy top to go with them , if anyone from the Navy had seen me, they would have drowned me but Mama thought I looked "precious and cute" IDK WHY?
  21. And you will whirl💃 and twirl with the best of them! We will want pictures so we can celebrate with you!

    HUNGRY!

The liquid part of the dish contents that it was cooked in. My Grampy would put it on his corn bread,to soften it up , one of his oddities but he lived into his 90s and that's pretty good. So maybe he knew something after all. And I inherited from him something I think is cool. He and I both can smell rain, I can tell you usually even how far away it is by the strength of the odor. Rather like the ozone smell from lightening but it's not quite the same. We had about 6 inches of snow overnight in my area of Ohio, my nose has finished its twitch now as it became clearer and cold outside. Yeah I smell that too but not the same intensity. If you don't have it , it is difficult to explain. And I am almost a GRIT, girl raised in the South , due to the influence. of Kentuckuans, Virginians and one token West Virginian that married into my Mama's family. To this day, neither my late husband or any of my kids liked greens, will confess I don't like turnip ones, shoot I don't even like turnips themselves, especially since one evil church sister brought creamed turnips to the potluck dinner right among the scalloped potatoes that I do love. What a nasty shock that was, wanted to rescind the nice table Grace I had said! One of my BFF was a Preachers Kid, Told me after 3 praying over leftovers they are considered Sanctified and you don't have to pray over them anymore. Hey she might just have a point! Scalloped potaoes I would maybe stretch out that long but most leftovers after 2 warmings pffft, into the garbage when nobody's looking!🍛

    Quotes & Inspiration

Stop hating yourself for all the things you aren't and start loving yourself for all the things you are. There is only one you in the entire universe!
  24. Well it is your body, so it should be your choice. Is your surgeon leaning toward Bypass for any other reason besides your size? Sometimes if you already have reflux or another co-morbidity that might aggrevated in the case of VSG, they push for Bypass. And remember you are authorizing them to remove 3/4 of your original stomach and throw it away. No operation is perfect in this world, always win and loses, alas.
