Who has had the sleeve? How did you do? Pros and cons? Would you do it again?
Frustr8 replied to HMA's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
And I pray you can lose before the ticking time bomb goes off. I had a son die of an ascending aorta aneurysm at 31, every time I hear or see the word " aneurysm" I quake inside, been 11 years on the 11th and sometimes it's like yesterday and sometimes like a nightmare you can't wake up from. Every year I send balloons to Heaven and try to volunteer somewhere to honor his memory. He was a very giving person and I was blessed to be his mother. But I would give all my tomorrows just to have him back. 💦 -
Never look back, you're not going that direction after all. If you don't like where you're at , move, you're not rooted like a tree.

Did you have to share a room in the hospital?
Frustr8 replied to jasmineinmymind's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Lord deliver us all from Helga the She-Devil and all her ilk! And Hurray for private rooms where you can kick back and be YOU without worries. You may have nausea, you may have flatulence, you may even burp like a 10 year old boy, so nice not to have to apologize for your organ recitals and such.😝🌈😝 -
nutrition labels: an observation

Well may mean we were doing it wrong all these years, but now we have learned better. -
Getting a sleeve done... start to finish
Frustr8 replied to DelawareWoman's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
If you have GERD they may advise you to switch to bypass, sleeve will not cute that, in fact it usually makes it worse. Foot getting stuck could mean you have an esophageal stricture or the valve between your esophagus and stomach is a little wookey, might be another strike against a sleeve. But your doctor will know more of your particular case than I do. Not a doctor, not a nurse. just another bariatric journeyer on her own trek. -

May be a reaction to the anesthesia they used or hormones starting to release from your fat as you go into ketosis. Probably looks worse than it is! -

Effects of Nutrient Deficiency on Skin

Don't take anything dairy with the Doxycycline, it bonds together with it, forms an insoluble salt and you just poop it out. You need it to work not be a stool assistant.💩 -

When did you really start to see results?
Frustr8 replied to Bypassgirl92's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A wise person said; It will take 4 weeks for you to notice a change it will take 8 weeks for your friends to notice a change It will take 12 weeks for the outside world to notice a change But it takes only one day to believe in yourself enough to commit to surgery and weight loss. And that is the most important time frame, to realize you love you enough to grant yourself this gift of health and a future.🌈 -
Overheard Staff Joking About My Body

And his practice diminishing in size and his profits declining may be the Wake-up call that couldn't get through his fat head to tell him anything. Be a better Nurse Practioner than he is a Doctor, that is the best type of revenge after all . -
Well neither of these are gonna stop a clock from running so if they resemble these proxies, they are pretty pleasant to gaze on.

Did you drink your water today?!?!
Frustr8 replied to Laughing Bird's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Went and made me my bari-cup up with one half Minute Maid 15 lemonade and one-half mandarin orange Nestle Splash flavored water which is no calorie, should cut it down to 7.5 calories per 8 oz, that's unbeatable on a galloping 🐎. One of my weird relatives saying , never knew why she was obsessed with horses galloping, never saw her on horseback at all. -
Use skim if you go to milk, none of us need to reload fat back in!

Not that Interested in food
Frustr8 replied to Separ1418's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Me either, But I have another 2 reasons than average ones. 1. My TPN satisfies 95% -100% of my nutritional needs 2. I urp up so easily it's not worth trying anything past liquids or very diluted purees. The petechiae (small pinpoint hemmorages under the skin) are finally dissipating and I am grateful for that. Saw something in "Words of Wisdom" pretty well sums it up You Ask How I Am I will say " I'm Okay" I will text "I'll be fine" But within my Heart and Soul- I am broken and need repaired. I can't complete where I should be now on my own. -
Well I keep on keeping on. But I am learning to accept my age. I'm old enough to know better Young enough not to care Experienced enough to do things right & I realize how blessed I am to have this chance at a better life. I can't stop now, I have too many nay-sayers to prove wrong at this time. But thanks for caring enough to ask!😝

Basically bile without food to dilute it, I have had it before myself and when my IBS tendency flares it's almost always that shade and mucousy.

There are only 4 words in a relationship that means more than I Love You and they are " I'm here for you". Don't you wish you could go back in time? Then you would have more time to know and love him. You are an incredibly blessed woman.

Don't be nervous, Lions don't ask sheep for permission to do things, you are strong , you are sleek and barring a giant hairball, CatWoman, you will do just fine and. dandy!🐯

And I know Wally World has them, last time I looked there was a display in the Pharmacy area and another in Housewares. And during Camping season in Sporting Goods. And they are not THAT expensive.🍶

Water makes me sick at night?
Frustr8 replied to Neri's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And also change the temperature, lukewarm almost always returns back up, warm like tea or iced and cold, but pee-warm, No No No! -
Going to attempt flaky tiapua or another mild fish, the rest of the things you quoted come roaring back up, even eaten slowly and well-chewed. 😧😥💦I wanna rejoin the real world but Precious Pouch has stated I AIN'T READY & I must obey or repent with my little green barfie bags. Would you believe my Bariatric Clinic has a stack by the waiting room door so we can help ourselves?
