And remember men lose faster than we do, that's a known fact. Its inbred in us not to drop a whole weight, we might be incubating a new generation, your body wants to make sure you're fit to nurture. Its just bad when your family is complete, you know you're obese, and you desperately are trying, but you fight an uphill battle.

Have you noticed though some things smell so very good, you say to yourself" I believe I'll try a small piece of that! So you do and it tastes like something even the dog would refuse and he has been to get into the refuse bin! I had made some snickerdoodels, first cookie I learned to make way back when I was a Brownie. Yeah I know people on liquid diet shouldn't eat cookies, but it was gonna be 1/8th of a small ๐ช. I am human as well as a Bariatric Patient, and I needed a little reward, figured it wouldn't matter, I urp up all solids anyway. So I grasped the ๐ช piece in my little hands and put it in my mouth. OMG all I could taste was Baking soda, no sweet and tasty sensation, just cinnamon-covered baking soda.. Yccch, spit it right out on the saucer, not going THERE again. And my most offensive and pervasive offender to Me, my๐ช armpits, Oh I wash them, I have put baking soda there, tried multiple deodorants and antiperspirant, it's like rotting onions and garlic, maybe the vitamins or other post- surgery meds. IDK, Tomkitten hasn't complained but I just can't escape it, I almost would trade it for ketosis breath. THAT I might be able to gargle away!๐ง

And if you're financially challenged like me,an old colander/strainer You don't want to use for food and put a coffee filter in it I have a "hat" for catching urine, PCP gave me a stack because I had to catch stool after pancreatitis, you tend to have greasy ones post. White and you put it under seat of toidy. looks like half circle.

Surgery/recovery room timeframes

And that's the story of this group, but we are all different in the midst of sameness, and that is okay. And each of us are the author of our own Story but we may happen to walk side by side for a while.๐ฃ๐ -
Just wanted to share some results
Frustr8 replied to deargh's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Isn't it odd , we can eat the same amount of calories, do the same amount of exercise, even the same amount of protein, one person loses 36 pounds, one 15 and the third just stalls. So we are all different, but each of us occupies a certain location in the scheme of things, But we interlock. like puzzle pieces on a giant game table. I often wonder how it will appear when this group all finishes. ๐๐๐๐ -
Like your playlist, many of my faves on there too. I have pearls on tonight, 1 makes me feeling like a young girl 2. Frankie Valley said long ago in RAG DOLL, " such a pretty girl should be wearing pearls" Might have been ME he was singing about. And since I have heard much music in my life I am eclectic in my tastes . I especially like Styx " Show Me The Way" clear down to Joey and Rory's " You Ain't Right", Sherri Austin "He's All Yours". I guess I am mostly Soft Rock into Country, especially songs that tell a story. And when I feel ornery, Bomshels " Karma is a Female Dog" Miranda Lambert. speaks my seniments in her songs, She's a Texas cutie, but she takes no prisoners, does she? And I March around to Toby Keith or her.

How do you end a stall?
Frustr8 replied to amy6152's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
And although I haven't stalled as of yet, on 1430 calories from my TPN, yeah THAT MANY- My Body Jalopy๐is barely chugging along the weight loss trail. 2 pounds a month between December 18- January 15, praying I will get out of this idle-ing and my weight loss deferred will resume because I wanted it all, I wanted to be HEALTHY and THIN, not one or the other.๐ -

East or West of the Mississippi?
Frustr8 replied to Ed_NW's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Gosh if we get someone from Minnesota , that's where the headwaters are so they sort of straddle it don't they? -
Yeah one of my profiles said I had surgery in 1974, and as a Android app-er I can't change it, probably if NewKimm is running off of a phone app she won't be able to change hers either. That's something I pray Ken S. can rectify someday or fix it so we have the ability to do it ourselves. It says I went to Abbott- Northwestern in Evanston Illinois, and anybody who has followed me knows I'm enscounced in Central Ohio and only went as far as Columbus for mine last September.

And may your appointment go well but with a fibrous that size you just might get spayed to rid you of it. But we will see how things go, either way I will be keeping you in my prayers.๐๐๐and may there be,a ๐ rainbow at the end.

Well congratulations to Peaches for selecting you, congratulations on your weight loss, you know, Bariatric Pal is one of the few places you can say " You are less the woman that you used to be" and it will be regarded as a compliment, not a put-down. What a wonderful 6 months YOU have had, and keep moving on toward your goals, and keep updating us as each NSV occurs.

TMI question re. vomiting
Frustr8 replied to 2Bsmaller18's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You're lucky elves, I have had foamies, I have had urp-ups. and a couple times I felt such pain I thought my pouch would involute out my mouth. No, not projectile vomiting, more like a cat retching up a hairball, I'm a RnY so that's the kind I know. Not sure if my sleeved brothers and sisters do the same way or not. One blessing , if one can regard it as such, my food reflexes and refluxs up so quickly it has no odor. The longest mine has stayed down is a half hour or so. I have upchucked all kinds of stuff, even water. To Many bystanders it probably looks like a coughing spell. Just another facet to why I am on TPN, Dr Needlemans nurse thought I had progressed to Stage 4 and truly that is where I should be but until everything straightens out if I attempt anything p.o.(by mouth) it is liquids or very thin purees. Only thing not that variety is unsweetened applesauce. This is per Dr Noria, my surgeons partner who is also my endoscopist. This Friday will be my 5th with her and 8th lifetime. I really respect her as well as liking her very much. And I believe I may still have my healing occur, this is just a bump in my road to final โ victory. I will be starting tomights feeding in just a few minutes, I am 12 hours on, 12 hours off, have blood labs once a week, only deficiency I have and it is mild, is iron. I will call OSU in the morning, they were shut down for Martin Luther King Day, find out whether I can address this over-& the -counter or whether I need a prescription. But it still is a fine world, no regrets except I wish my body behaved better, but I would never go back to before surgery, this life still better than life before. I will always be grateful to my facility Ohio State University Hospital- Wexner Medical Center, my wonderful skillful surgeon ๐ท Bradley J Needleman M.D. and most of all to God who made everything possible. A great thing was done for me September 5th 2018 and I am proud of the person I now am becoming, I am. truly a wonderful work in progress. ๐ -
I had to go to powder myself , only way I could get strawberry, Wal-Mart saw fit to delete down to chocolate and vanilla in most of the Ready to Drink, blast their money-grubbing souls, Only way I might get my beloved Peaches and Cream premier protein is Wal-Mart.com, Amazon, Or go out of my town for Sam's Club or Costco, wonder if both have guest memberships? If I have to travel 23-50 miles it better be worth the trip!
