  1. We all know that this will happen. How long should one wait ? Is there a “spanx” kind of thing you can buy to help? Thanks [emoji120]
  2. Thanks / I’ll find out Thursday at my 60 day class.
  3. It might be head hunger. I didn’t have much pain but I do notice now that after 7 wks post op - I only eat 3 x day and I know when it’s been too long because I actually feel hunger - at first it was hard to just forget about the food etc but you will be better - just be patient and follow drs orders - good luck [emoji1360]
  4. Anyone able to eat it? When? How? Also - acid reflux post sleeve - anyone ? HW 325 SW 305 CW ? Less 60 Lbs I think Went from size 24 to 18 !! But still losing GW 165
  5. Yogurt - still on sf 6 weeks post op
  6. I wish you the best. I was you but before the surgery. I started seeing a “life coach” it’s so much different than a therapist and she helped me more in 6 months than 20 yrs of dieting and therapist etc. i am 6 wks post op and have adopted better habits but it was hard and still is. You can do this / there will be bad days and good days don’t beat yourself up about the bad ones and learn from the good ones. [emoji177]
  7. I know ! Enzymes ? Hmm. I’ll call doc in am and find out about them. I just have to remember to drink water !! Ugh. It is hard to remember to chew - I resolved to counting 40 times per bite - it’s hard to do when the bite is the size of a dime! Ridiculous [emoji6]
  8. Well I am 3 wks post op sleeve and I was doing so good. Then I had a hard boiled egg and didn’t pay attention to the bite - awful! I was in pain for an hour but I didn’t vomit. Then again today I wasn’t paying attention to the bite and again pain and suffering- except this time I had to get rid of it. I vomited 2x and finally it felt better. But now my throat and esophagus are burning. Doc says back to liquid diet for 2 days. I have learned my lesson and I hope this helps someone else. BSW 325 SW 294 CW ? GW 145
  9. Good luck to you. I have had all positive experiences with the doctor, nutritionist, Dietitian, nurses and hospital during this 10 month journey and i wish you and all the same. Today we go to our 1 we post op class and go into Phase 2. Excited to learn what’s good and bad for the next part. I do know cottage cheese is on the menu and not SF Jello! I will be happy to never have jello again ! [emoji6]
  10. I look forward to that person challenging my (our) decision - because your right - little do they know ! Great job!
  11. What an inspiration! Thanks for sharing [emoji120]
  12. I use hydrate from the App Store
  13. I got it on amazon & it syncs w my Apple Watch and reminds me every 10 min to take a sip - then I can see my progress.
  14. Yea, my dr had a pre-op class, post-op class, 30 day & 60 day - it's awesome and my hubby goes with so he knows about it too. I kinda ready for some food to chew.
  15. Slow and steady- just have to remember [emoji6]
  16. My surgery was 2/26. I’m doing good - just today I’m introducing protein shake in small sips. I’m still in chicken broth, sf jello, water. I am healing great but fatigued. My post op class is Tuesday when we get to have some cottage cheese and cooked veggies and learn how to chew and portion. I’m at that soft food phase for 3 months. I’m excited about everything- maybe I’m one of the lucky ones [emoji6] I wish everyone was. Good luck SW 325 BSW 302 SW 294 CW ? GW 135
  17. I’m a newbie but how is your protein intake? I know that gives energy and can you walk a little bit after work ? Or during lunch? Good luck and hope this helps.
  18. I am so confused - I am 5 days post op and my Dr has me on only chicken broth, sf jello and decaf tea/coffee and of course water - I am reading some of you within the same time frame are drinking protein shakes. I wonder if I could have a little bit? I’m doing great - no pain, no reflux (tums & nexium help) and waking. Thanks
  19. I too have a hard time drinking the recommended amount of water daily. I am 5 days post op. its 3 in the afternoon and I am still on my first bottle (24oz). I infuse the water with lemon, orange but have to take tums for the acid reflux. so i switched to cucumber & mint and that helped. i bought myself a light up water bottle to remind me to drink smaller sips more often - that's the only way I know how to drink the recommended amount and for it not to hurt. Good Luck.
  20. I’m 4 days post op from gastric sleeve and was so excited to find this forum. Not a lot of pain but the acid reflux is Awful! My dr has a strict regiment - maybe the same as others - chicken broth, water and sugar free jello for 8 days. Then a post op class where we can have cottage cheese. I’m very tired but I force myself to walk every 2 hrs. I’m sure the sluggish feeling will pass soon - I hope. Very excited for this journey to a lifetime of weight issues. Thanks for reading.
  21. Maybe something without dairy? Like fruit smoothie w water? I’m still in the clear liquid state 3 days post op. Hope this helps
