I'm new to the forum. My surgery date was the day before yours so I'm just over a week out, too. I have not experienced that. Everything has gone so well that it's scary. Eat what you can tolerate. S

Give it time, probably. You’d be surprised the difference just a week can make.

I had the same issue with spasms and gurgling right after surgery. My physician prescribed hycosamine, which is an anti-spasmodic, and it seemed to help.

IS THIS NORMAL?
I am now a week post-op and did perfectly fine on the clear liquids. the only nausea I've experienced has been from the initial pain medication which I've discontinued.
I'm trying to switch over to an all liquid diet, but even one or two spoonfuls sends my stomach into a death spiral. I've tried low carb creamy soup, protein shakes, and Greek yogurt, but just a couple ounces and I feel like someone set fireworks in my stomach. Is this normal? Do I just need to give it more time?
I had no issue with the pre-op liquid diet and never feel hungry at all.
Thanks!
