  6. im five days post op & dwn 20lbs since 1 wk pre op.the only issue im having is the back door trots, had a little all along but yesterday was more frequent, its not a big amnt, tmi, sorry, but enough to b uncomfortable,& it sounded like there was an alien in my belly.the only thing i have added was the protein water.wow are they sweet, even diluting in half is not enough to take that sweetness away.im diluting 3 ways today.im over the jello, popsicles, broth,& dec teas.i cant wait to add protein shakes, yogurt,sf pudding, crm soups, crm of wht, skim milk,&v8 jce on sunday, but slowly im told.anyone else having issues?the dr. said i could take imodium but i was trying to avoid that.
  7. congratulations domi, what a crazy story.i too have to wait a week before driving.i stuck 100./. to the clear liq diet a wk before preop & now a wk after & am dwn 20lbs.i know its hard but it made surgery go extremely well,u dont want to take a chance or have complications.
  8. you know i felt that right away & the next day after surgery, but that has gone away now & i have no appetite, day 3&4
  9. your gonna do great,im telling u expect & prepare for the worst & hopefully u will b pleasantly surprised & have no issues at all.im sorry ur a stomach sleeper.its only for a short time & u will get thru it.
  10. has ur dr. said anything about u not being able to sleep on ur side?i could sleep on my side & back, just not my stomach.this def. helped me get some sleep,as i am a side sleeper.i just remember reading some others weren’t allowed & used pillows.
  11. yes i was able to walk the halls by myself shortly after getting to my room.there was one girl that was w the 8 of us that was vomiting & dry heaving after surgery but by the next day she was great.thats the only bad thing i heard about anyone.u just need to get thru that first day & night & u should feel good.
  12. i feel great, took my medicine ball w little tubes out today & took a shower.i only stayed 1 night in the hospital.the only thing annoying was being attached to the iv machine /pole & it going off beeping constantly & nurse coming to take vitals & the uncomfortable bed & the pressure leg cuffs.u make sure u tell them if ur nauseated or in pain because i kept telling this young nurse & she finally gave me the right amount so i could sleep thru part if the night.
  13. well we need to trade recipes if something tastes good
  14. my taste buds are a little off i would say but so far not as much as i thought they would b,but then again i havent had anything but clear liquid stuff, not much of a variety.thks for the info on the soups here,im gonna have to buy some because of the protein in them & if they taste good too thats a bonus.
  15. i definitely need to get to trader joe’s to get several things people have gotten there & liked.thks for the info.
  16. i like the bariatric advantage soft chews, taste like a starburst.they have all different flavors.
  17. i have a toddlers sippy cup & it helps me
  18. bariatric advantage have the sublingual kind, thats what im gonna use when i start next week on my vitamins
  19. i have sampled some of the bariatric advantage brand & they are delicious, taste like a chewy starburst, come in all kinds of flavors.i will not b forgetting to take them, lol, but looking forward to taking them.fruit punch & chocolate are good but so are the rest of the flavors.
  20. my problem was never the amount of food i ate but the rich, delicious food.if it didnt taste amazing i wouldnt eat it.my husband is a chef & i love to cook & entertain.everyone always expects us to have all the holiday parties, especially the summer ones since we have a pool.i have also been looking at all kinds of recipes to make that look tasty but healthy & that my husband could add pasta ,potatoes,or bread to.he doesnt know how to make anything healthy but he enjoys my cooking & will eat whatever i make.so this summer we are definitely gonna cut back on food & go simpler & less variety & w some healthier choices.
  21. i cant wait to have some protein shakes, crm of wheat, yogurt & sf pudding starting sunday, yippiee, lol
  22. im so glad ur feeling better on day 3 pauline11
  23. i made homeade beef & chkn broth ahead of time & froze in ice cube trays but that didnt taste good to me either.i never thought i would like bouillon broth better than homeade.that boxed bone broth is so nasty, trying to spread the word because im stuck w all that from costco.also those lemon flavored swabs for ur dry mouth after surgery were terrible, dont waste ur money.
  24. i tried the bone broth tonight & thought it was terrible, went bk to chkn bouillon broth.im glad u cam tolerate it,know its good for u.
