  1. I'm almost 3 months post surgery. I take Omeprazole every morning but I still get nauseous at different points in the day. Haven't figured out the trigger but in the meantime I need to find something to address the symptom. Pepto Bismol was my go-to before surgery but it doesn't seem to help now. Any recommendations?

  2. I am at a strange place. I can eat salmon, and tuna as long as they are really moist. However, it seams every time I eat it never fails that I throw up 🤢 within a few hours. I it only happens when I eat fish. I guess I need to stop eating fish. I love it. I can eat it, I just can not keep it down. It took about an hour and a half for it to come up this time, however, it came up.
I keep trying tuna but puke every time. When will I ever learn?

  3. Are you taking Vitamins? I know my vitamins make me feel nauseous until I found some I can tolerate. Are you staying hydrated? When I've been dehydrated the nausea is worse. there could be fixable reasons to your nausea. Talk to your doctor and dietician.
I know I'm not drinking enough Water but sometimes the mere thought of it makes me want to throw up. I have tried Crystal light and other liquids but still struggle getting enough down. I will talk to dietician. Thanks.

  4. Very upset. I'm 8 weeks post surgery and I still get nautious throughout the day. Can't figure out the trigger. Nautious if I don't eat, nautious if I do. I'm fighting back there resentment of having the surgery. Then extra frustrated because what's done is done. Upside of course is the 37 lbs wishes weightloss since pre surgery diet but I don't feel like that outweighs the nausea.

  5. Thank you all SO MUCH! It has definitely not been a simple easy loss, I’ve worked my butt off (literally, I’ve no butt [emoji24]) to get here between fighting the cravings, watching what I eat, and pushing my workouts I have to say I feel incredible! Best decision I have ever made. Here is a quick pic from today. I HAVE A WAIST!!!!image-0.0100135803222656.thumb.jpg.11cf34acb9edd43ced1f1e2d47c24b62.jpg
    Cute outfit! Congrats again!

  6. All these ideas sound awesome! You got this under control I say[emoji16] . I know it's been only 4 wks post op but my stomach is super sensitive like it reject alot of things I use to be able to enjoy. I suddenly became lactose intolerant, cant handle any low fat milk based yogurt, scrambled eggs give me the runs(can only do a poached egg) you can understand the aggravation with trying to find things that work for me. I have tried 3 different Protein Shakes premier I can no longer do. The organic plant based didnt sit well with me felt so heavy and now I am trying the Isopure whey(tried it with almond milk and nope not good) so will try again with just Water. [emoji85] [emoji86] [emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji30] . Another thing is that when ever I try eating my 2oz or less I feel like my food is stuck in my throat wanting to throw up. When it's not that then I just feel cramps in my stomach sigh....[emoji17]

I've tried all kinds of Protein shakes too. My nutritionist recommended Core Power and it is the only one I like.

  7. Hi there,
This is my 1st message. I am 11 days post up. I have lost 30 pds but I am totally exhausted. I do 3 Protein Shakes a day and 1 cup of yogurt and drink Water. Just no energy I star back to work tomorrow.
    thanks
I'm 4 weeks post op and just starting to get energy back. I originally planned to be off work two weeks but had issues in week 1 - dehydration, extra IV fluids - so I took an extra week off. If you can't make it through tomorrow consider staying back out of work another week. Just my thoughts. Amazing you're reaching Protein and Water goals. I'm still not there. I'm even thinking I may need to go back in again for IV fluids. [emoji20]

  8. After my sleep study on Tuesday night, I was hoping to announce a NSV of being rid of my CPAP, but...not quite. My OSA is down to “mild” from “severe,” though, and without a CPAP, I’m down to 13 arousals an hour from 117 when I first had a sleep study in 2011 (and was 110 pounds heavier).
So here’s another NSV: Yesterday I accidentally threw our garage door opener in a Dumpster, and without thinking about it, I boosted myself onto the lip of the Dumpster and leaned in to retrieve it.
    Nice!!

  9. So at the beginning of the month I realized I needed to figure out some sort of fall/ winter jacket options. In the land of PNW I find a need a mix of rain jackets and omg why is is so cold jacket.

I ordered a few options from Lands end (so much on sale) and ended up having to return several things because they were just too big. As an XL and even a Large. Blink blink. I just got my second order where I ordered medium talls or 12 Tall and while a little tight in the belly everything fit. I still have 30-40 to go and said to my Mr “I don’t recognize the person in the mirror”. This is after being stalled for 3 weeks due to my emergency gallbladder removal and having no energy to exercise and dealing with some appetite/food changes.
    Congratulations!

  10. Realized I had another one today. I dropped off three black garbage bags of business clothing at the local shelter that offers business clothing for homeless women transitioning back to the workforce. It was amazing to drop off mostly 22/24 clothing that they very much needed. And yes this means I no longer have it to save just in case.
    Congratulations!

  11. I haven't read the entire thread but here are some of my NSVs:
Biggest one for me is that I SMILE when I see myself in the mirror. I actually look, smile, think "Gee that looks cute" or something along those lines. I have NEVER liked the way I look... until now. This makes me so happy that sometimes I cry.
I have collarbones! And shoulder bones, hip bones... I really DO have a skeleton!
No need for a seatbelt extender on the plane, or hoping that nobody sits next to me so I don't "overlap" on them. Overlap is also gone from movie theater seats, amusement rides, etc. Many thanks to my good friends who tolerated my "flopping" on them through all those many shows of Nutcracker (our daughters are ballerinas).
I can wear regular shoes again. Yes, I still love my crocs, but now there are actual options- even heels!
I fit through the turnstiles at some of the rides at Disney World this summer... and I wore a bathing suit to the pool!
    What a great list! Congratulations!!

  12. [mention=328469]AshAsh1[/mention] recently said in another thread that she is finding her true fashin style. I realized that I am doing the same.
I wore this outfit to a party tonight. I never before would have worn either white pants nor a yellow top. And I felt fantastic in it! [emoji4]

Wow!! So brave to wear white pants! And they look fantastic on you!! And that top, color and style is beautiful! Excited for you!!

  13. My NSVs from today:
Went to old navy wearing my now very very loose size 22 jeans. Tried on a bunch of size 18s and the size 16s which were only a SMIDGE too small for right now! And I got an XL sweater! I also bought a pair of “pixie” chinos in a dark pink/maroon color - way out of my black pants and black sweater ‘uniform’ of the last several years/multiple decades!

I also might be wearing a new/not my usual thing dress tomorrow if I work up the courage :)
    Exciting!!
