You look fantastic!
2. I don't think I have to keep mine on that long but I'll find out on Monday at my follow up appointment. I just unhooked the back again a few m minutes ago. This thing is going to send me to my grave... before I can even see how pretty my arms are!
3. Through the arm pit and partially down the side to bottom bra line?
4. I was allowed the same - shower, drains, garment off. I've just been too chicken to do so. Scared of the pain of putting this dang garment back on.
5. @ms.sss did you have an extended arm lift where the incision goes through the arm pit area and down the side to about the bottom of the bra line? That's what I had. Maybe that's why I have drains there. Also maybe why I have the full compression garment instead of just ace bandages. Jealous, TT also? Eventually I want everything but I just can't spend that kinda money right now. Hoping to do so over the next couple years.
6. ms.sss have your looked at the incision areas? I'm too scared. I think it'll freak me out. Planning to wait until Sunday to take a shower then might take a peek. Do you have drains? They're weird but not as annoying as thought they'd be.
7. Oh I wish I had just ace bandages! I have the full crop top style with hooks in the front and back. I think it's more made for a breast lift and arm lift combo. I went home the same day as surgery. You didn't? How's your pain? Mine is completely fine. Just to this awful garment bothers me, or if I move my arm in a certain way, or bump an incision area.
8. Thanks for the info. Don't you have a heck of a time putting it back on though? The fabric hurts when I bend my arm too. Seems to help if fold the bottom part up above my elbow.
9. @ms.sss me too! It's so weird! Do they have you wearing a compression garment?
10. 2 full days post arm lift for me. Surprisingly no need for pain meds today at all. Compression garment is still so uncomfortable. Unhooked it for awhile yesterday evening but we had a heck of a time getting it hooked back up. Had to pull the sleeves up just a bit because they had slipped while being unhooked, which caused pain over the incisions even though we were going really slow and careful. I cried. My pain tolerance is very low. I haven't taken this garment off since then. Holding off showering until the night before my follow up appointment. I just can't bear the pain of taking this thing completely off and putting it completely back on. Drain tubes are weird but not too bothersome. My husband empties them and logs them for me about 1-2 times a day. Haven't had any issues going to the bathroom, and pulling down/up my pants and wiping which kinda surprised me. Well that's my update for today!
11. Best wishes for a speedy recovery from here on out @ms.sss!
12. @sillykitty sounds like you're recovery is progressing well which is great especially given how many different areas were worked on in one surgery. Also great that your pain level seems to be manageable. Here's wishing your boobs look better soon.
13. My stats: 5 ft 6.5 in. Sleeved Aug 2018. In maintenance about 4 months, at ~145 lbs. Had an extended arm lift (brachioplasty) yesterday 12/16. Incision is from elbow through the arm pit area and down to about the bottom of my bra line which should also help with the side boob excess skin. Cost is $9600. Includes everything - surgeon, anaesthesiologist, facility, etc etc I'm wearing a compression garment that's sorta like a really tight crop top with long sleeves. I also have two drains which I have to empty 1-2 times a day and log the amount. The doctor will remove the drains at my one week post op appointment. Between the tight garment, the drains, and general incision pain, I'm pretty uncomfortable. I'm taking the pain meds as often as prescribed which is helping though. The Dr said he removed a lot of skin (nurse said almost 1 lb!) and that I'm going to be very happy with the outcome. I really like him. You can tell he really likes his job. He gets excited talking about it. And he's confident in what he knows because he's been doing it a long time. Ok, I'm going to lie back down now. Will check in again later today and post some pics.
14. Thanks @ms.sss for starting this thread. Goodness, your 'before' pictures look pretty darn good already!
15. I'm 16 months post sleeve surgery. Been in maintenance mode for about 4 months. Tomorrow I'm having an extended arm lift. A bit nervous about the drains and the pain and uncomfortableness of recovery, but excited for short sleeve shirts and tank tops next summer! Eventually I hope to have all the other skin removal surgeries, but I need to save for them first.
16. Hello friends! Thanks for all the nice wishes. Dr said it went well. My arms already look smaller but of course I've got this compression garment on so it could be a bit misleading. Will post a more detailed update tomorrow. Need to take the next round of pain meds and drift off to sleep. [emoji42]
17. @ms.sss I think your surgery is this week also, right? Good luck!

Feeling exhausted

Congratulations on your surgery! My only advice would be to stay hydrated.
