  1. I am also 8 months post RNY. Surgery December 14 and presurgery wt was 195. 208 two weeks prior. I’ve finally hit my goal of 140 but I really had a hard time stomaching some of the foods you mentioned. Still do! Chicken and beef still gets “stuck” and hurts, and I can’t handle the sweetness of protein bars anymore! It sounds like you can tolerate a lot so you may be overeating and not realizing it. I’m a grazer so this is the only way I can get enough protein in. I hope The keeping track of intake helps you! I’ve revised my goal to 130 but I’m stalled right now so it may not be doable. Good luck!

    December 2017 Gastric Bypass!

Thanks, NatureLover! I have noticed a lot of posts about stalling and they did help. I just get so afraid of this not working either, with all of my weight loss failures! And my protein intake is so bad since I just can’t stomach protein shakes and drinks. It’s the sweetness that makes me gag!

    SF Bay Area? (California)

Hello! I live in the Bay Area and had my surgery on December 14 at Roseville SUTTER. I am currently experiencing a stall in my weight loss and am getting a bit discouraged! Anyone else experience a stall this early post op? (I’m 2 months post op)

    December 2017 Gastric Bypass!

Hello everyone! I just found this forum and I hope I can get some great support here! My RNY was December 14 and I’m doing okay. Preop weight was 190 and current weight is 164, but I feel like I’ve hit a stall! I’ve been 164 for over a week now! It’s frustrating so I’ve decided to stop weighing myself everyday and maybe doing it once a month. What do you think? I walk a lot but I think I need to start something more vigorous!
