I’m stalled right now too but I’m two weeks out. Have you been exercising? Walking? Drinking enough? On 09/07/2018 at 12:58, mercmerc said:

I got to about 499 calories today. That was adding some cheese to every meal.On 09/04/2018 at 21:06, Plucky said:
I'm about 5 weeks post op and I am still averaging 200 calories a day as well. My Nutritionist told me not to worry about the calories or Protein count int he beginning, just worry about healing. She said I would be incapable of having anywhere near 500 calories. I eat 3 meals a day, make sure I get my Protein and that's about it.
I'm in a major stall, so hoping I'm not messing up too badly!

The Hair loss is a result of the rapid weight loss. The Protein helps a bit but unless you’re losing really slow it’s inevitable. On 09/04/2018 at 11:26, MargoCL said:
I'm hoping with the Protein plan I'm following and the Biotin I've been on since the beginning of the year it will be. I think there are too many other factors to consider as well. Genetics, medications, current illnesses (my hypothyroidism and uterine fibroids love to take my hair.... that's where Biotin has finally helped me)... crossing fingers If not... then BF will have to get use to a "short & sassy" hair cut. LOL

Definitely not getting enough Protein. My NUT did tell me not to stress about that until 8 weeks post op though. I get like 25g of protein on a good day.

I’m 12 days post op. Should I be worrying about calorie intake yet? I’m averaging about 200 calories a day and physically cannot manage more. Should I be concerned? Do I not need to worry yet?

His comments were definitely sexist but the intent behind them - that your lifting routine (high weights low reps) is for building big muscles isn’t wrong. He could have went about explaining it a different way. He’s also not wrong that cardio is of vital importance as well. When I slack on my cardio and only focus on weights I stall big time.

Caffeine is acidic. When your stomach is healing you shouldn’t be adding anything to increase the. Acidity, heartburn, etc...

My NUT told me not to even attempt the 900-1200 until about 9 months. Before that she said it’s hard if I’m eating the right foods. My plan has a lot of restrictions long term though.

Thanks all for your personal choices with returning. Gave me a good range of what to expect. I went to the building Monday to hang some bulletin board stuff and after a couple hours I was exhausted. I’m hoping I can just power through and nap when I get home.

I’ve had zero appetite since surgery on the 23rd. Down 12 pounds since surgery drinking all Clear Liquids.

I’ve done intermittent fasting before and it always has great results for me. I think what a lot of people forget is it’s not a free for all in the 8 hours you eat. You still need to follow a strict caloric guideline or there’s no point.

I don’t think it’s impossible. Those stats are just saying without trying very hard just the procedure will help you lose this percentage. After the 18 months you’re going to have to work hard to take the rest off.

Thanks all! I know it’s entirely personal how I will feel by then. But I dread missing the first days of school and having to jump back in when they’ve been working with a sub.
I know I’ll need to take a day off for a follow up appointment but that’s unavoidable sometimesAEdoesRnY and Frustr8 reacted to this -
I’m a teacher that is supposed to start September 4th. I just had surgery on the 23rd. I’m torn whether I should take a couple extra weeks off or suck it up and go in. I know it’s only day 3 but I feel like garbage and it’s hard to keep anything down.
When did everyone go back to work?Frustr8 reacted to this -

You say you offended that people assume you believe in the impossible or whatever but you’re just showing that you feel like your above people who believe in god.
No you didn’t say it but your word choice is poor and offensive to those who do believe. -
Whether you believe or not that’s how they choose to send their good wishes and intentions. I think it’s rude to want to micromanage how someone wants to send good intentions your way. Say thank you and keep it moving.

My stomach / face is the first place I always lose. Thighs and arms are the slowest to show.
