  1. Partners, can’t live with them can’t kill them. So, just love them and love ourselves first. I heard that somewhere!
  2. Can you do the liquid egg whites. I found I tolerate them better than eggs. I add a little salsa or homemade pesto or just even a little cottage cheese and it goes down well.
  3. Frustr8 hope your energy will return soon. When is your next md appt? Are you sleeping ok? I’m 61 and today is my 1 month out and I feel more tired today than the first 2 weeks. Saw the doctors yesterday and they told me I’m need to calm down doing too much too soon but I’m an ADD over controlling freak and want to be a PERFECT patient. So I said self. Settle down do what they have asked me to do and be chill. Thinking of you. We will do this and be the best us we can be.
  4. October sound like a great group. Congrats to all. I had surgery 8/29/18 so today is my 1 month out. So glad I did it and you will be too. Trust your Doctors and the team. Remember sip sip sip walk walk walk. You can do this no worries:)

  6. Ammonia and acetone with wet grass and cat pee smell. Welcome to ketosis land of smells. And my nose abilities to smell from ten miles away gas kicked in as well 4 weeks out on 9/29 and it’s finally diminishing.
  7. I was cocky because I’ve had no vomiting or dumping and then I made a pot roast with gravy and chewed my brains out and it happened. So Much Pain in my chest and throat. Took 1 hour before I could throw it up took 2 days for me to swallow normal again. I was 3 &1/2 weeks out. So I was approved for rotisserie chicken and thought the pot roast would be ok. But NO
  8. Just have faith in your Doctor and yourself. This is life changing Surgery for all of us and the steps we go through to get the Surgery approved is an important part of success post surgery. Embrace it and share often.
  9. Diluted Diet 5 cranberry juice. Do more jello. And lots of ice
  10. I had surgery the same day as you. I’ve lost 20 pounds since surgery so you have motivated me to ketch up 1 more pond to go. We are rocking it.
  11. I’m so sorry your having this frustration. Was wondering if you had tried to mix it up a bit. I know what the doctor told = protein and carb but for me personally I’m doing 75% protein 15% carb 10% fat every couple of days I’m switching the fat and carb I’m 4 weeks out on the 29 th surgery was 8/29/18. ? you will find out what works for you best. I was 236 when I left the hospital and today I’m 217.
  12. Sleeping is the only thing. I’m 3 weeks out on Friday bypass. And I do get tired after an 1 hour or so slow walking but I think because I’m still in liquid and cottage cheese stage. Added egg and rotisserie chicken. But I have to chew the chicken forever. Happy to chew better than drinking. I add diet 5 cranberry juice. Mix it equal to my water and are up to 90-100 oz a day. And I feel better. 65 oz not enough hydration. I’m at 80 grams of protein too. At
  13. I have a question. Bypass on 8/29/18 beginning week 4 and haven’t lost any weight in 4 days. Soooo is this the 3 week stall I’ve heard about is anyone else going through this right now from August surgeries? Yikes. I’ve up my water to 75 oz a day. Calories are at 650 70% protein 20 carbs 10 fat
  14. Bypass don’t have leak test as far as I know. I didn’t have one either

  16. I had surgery on the 29 too. Doing good up to 64 oz Water and 75 Grams Protein. Walk walk walk. Sip sip sip gained 8 pounds after surgery but today is 8 day out and lost those 8 plus 5. Had number 2 now which helps a lot HW 257SW 2291 day later 236CW 224

  20. It’s strange but my shakes go down pretty easy but with water I feel the restriction immediately. Take an hour to do 10 oz of water but 20 min for 8 oz shake
  21. I week today from surgery have lost 12 pounds this week and see the surgeon in 2 days for my check up. Getting in 70 grams of protein and 64 oz water but am working on more h2o
