  1. I am 10 months post bypass and have passed my goal so I'm no longer trying to lose. That said, I still eat healthy most of the time. When I run through the drive through for my kids they both know they have to pay the "fry tax". They each give me 3 or 4 of their fries. They find it hilarious. Oh and I have a Hershey kiss after lunch a few times a week. I got down on myself about it once then thought about how I ate before surgery and got over it lol Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  2. Ask your Dr about exparil. I didn't even know what it was until after I woke up and saw it on one of my medical bracelets. It's a nerve block they can inject near your incisions that numbs them for 4 to 5 days. Having no incision pain those first few days made my recovery so much easier than I was expecting. 3. Don't overpack. It's just more stuff you need to lug home. Surgical glue can't get wet for like 48 hours so don't plan on showering at the hospital. I took one pair of comfy pj pants for under my hospital gown. Wore comfy pants and a t-shirt home. Had a phone charger, brush, hair ties, biotine spray and flip flops. Oh and my id. Less is more! Flinstones multivitamins??

I take 2 of the Flintstones completes everyday. I'm 2 months post op. No problems here. You have to take calcium separately because the Flintstones completes have iron. I also take biotin, B complex and D3. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  5. I'm now almost 2 months post op from RNY. Went back to work Monday. I work a school so that's when all employees went back. I've been walking a ton all week, hitting my fluid and protein goals and the stupid scale hasn't budged this week. I'm guessing the change in routine is throwing my body out of whack. I'm only 15lbs from onderland. I know this stall will break soon but I just needed to whine for a second lol Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  6. I was told no straws ever. I didn't listen. I've been using them the whole time. I just make sure to not swallow the air I suck up in the straw and to take small sips. I'm all for following Dr's orders but none of them seem to agree on the straw issue. I did what works best for me and helps me get my fluids in. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    June RNY buddies?

Hey surgery twin! My Dr only does a special diet for the first 3 weeks. I've been able to eat whatever I can tolerate for about a month. That doesn't mean candy and chips. It has to be healthy and protein first. I had a couple green grapes today and they were fantastic. Haven't tried many raw veggies yet. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

    June RNY buddies?

I ended up in the hospital with a stone a couple weeks ago. It was one they saw on my CT when I had my last one in May. Thankfully the other small stones have all been flushed out. Hopefully keeping the fluids up will keep them cleared out. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. I'm guessing you have a baha? I'm a sign language interpreter and know a few students that have them. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app
  10. My post op diet had me on purees for 2 weeks then a regular diet. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    June RNY buddies?

I also had a super annoying stall. Mine was about 2 weeks stuck at the same weight. The scale is finally moving again! I'm down 28lbs including pre op diet loss. I have to remind myself to eat because I forget. It's crazy. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    HOLY COW! Is this Dumping?

I started having kidney stones about 4 years ago and I've had a couple that were like that. If you still have flank pain that could mean it's still passing but isn't blocking anything. I'm really hoping I don't get any. I need to call my urologist and get checked out since I've met my out of pocket for the year lol. Hope you're better soon! BCBSTX messed up

I'm really just venting because bcbs tried to give me a heart attack. Just a little background, my surgery was pre-approved. Both my surgeon and the hospital were named in the approval letter. I got a notice a claim was finalized. They denied payment on the $82,000 hospital bill. I called to find out wtf happened. The eob said it was only covered if I went to a center of excellence. My hospital IS a center of excellence. She put me on hold and looked it up. It should have been paid. They messed up. Now it has to be manually redone and it will take about a month. I seriously almost had a panic attack. Thank goodness they are fixing it. I won't really be truly OK until it's actually done and paid. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    July 20th

For me it got real when I was wheeled into the operating room lol. You will probably have some kind of preop diet. It sucks. Just suck it up and you'll be on the other side before you know it! Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
