Let’s talk about sliming
I'm sorry, but what do you mean by slime? Now if you said leaked a little (from having kids and being obese) I would totally know what you meant. LOL

Does anyone regret getting the sleeve?
I am not sure I am regretting it yet but I am questioning if I did the right surgery. I had sleeve surgery on 3/16 and it has been way to easy, as if it wasn't done. The only time I feel restricted is if I don't measure my food (eating out) and eat a little too much. I get a dull pain in my chest. I haven't lost any weight for over 4 weeks now and I am not sure if I will. I am following the rules with an occasional meal out. I exercise and I am drinking, etc. I regret the sleeve to the point that I believe I should have done the bypass but was afraid of the reroute.

Non Scale Victories
I was sitting in the auditorium at the high school last night and needed to fill out some paperwork. My daughter says.."Mom, there's a desk attached to the chair." She proceeds to start pulling it out. I was never able to use the desk like that because of my weight. Last night it was able to be used and it didn't touch me anywhere! I was sooooo excited.

Anyone use Premier Protein Clear drinks during pre or post op?
I tried them post-op. Like others have mentioned, they are quite sweet.

Leg Compression Device Necessary or Unnecessary?
The hospital put them on my legs and I didn't have to pay anything, my insurance did. I only wore it for the overnight at the hospital the first day.

Time off work
I had my surgery on a Friday and was back to work the next Tuesday. My boss let me work remotely as I have a desk job where I sit in a cubicle all day. I worked from home the rest of that week. The following week I had already planned off as it was spring break. In hindsight I should have taken the earlier week off as well, because I was wiped out.

How long has your longest stall lasted?
I have been stalled 4 weeks now and I had my surgery on 3/16. I am down 32 lbs from surgery. I am seeing shrinking of inches - my clothes are becoming huge and I will need to start wearing smaller sizes sooner than later.

Gardening
I think St. Paul is in zone 4b, correct? That being said, you will likely be harvesting at that point. I wouldn't plan on pushing it, but you will be guided by your surgeon and how you feel. Maybe that friend that drives you can assist you in any weeding or whatnot that needs to be done for a while? I am also an avid gardener, and it was killing me to not get out there and putter around. I had to enlist the help of my husband to move the 1.5 cubic foot bags of dirt for me, but I have been able to do everything else at 6 weeks post-sleeve. I am 8 weeks post sleeve now.

Exercise after surgery
I am 8 weeks post sleeve/hiatal hernia repair and it really took me until week 5/6 before my full energy came back. Do what you can and get plenty of rest.

Randomly being faint/dizziness
I felt this way after my surgery and it ended up that I was severely dehydrated and needed to go to the ER for fluids. Please call your surgeons. They gave me a banana bag - vitamins/minerals in an IV fluid bag. It looks yellow so they called it a banana bag.

Pre-Surgery Benders
I totally did this the week before I started the pre-op diet. I didn't go crazy overboard but I did have a couple of my favorite foods. You are not alone!

Having a NSV!
Okay so I haven't seen the scale move much in the last month, so I decided to redo my measurements. My hubby took them the night before surgery and then again today. I have lost quite a bit in inches which is really great for me to see and it helps me know this surgery is working even tho the scale isn't telling me it is. I also am seeing my right side is larger than my left...

Found veggie pasta Today! Looks awesome!

How often do you weigh yourself?
I am a little obsessive with weighing myself because I feel like it helps me stay on track. I only weigh myself most mornings. I have always been like this with the scale so nothing has changed for me before or after surgery.

Surgeon says go ahead.. do I take the bite? Or wait?
I say if the procedures will help you feel better and confident then GO FOR IT! You deserve to be the "you" you want to be.
