I am not a new sleever, but I have been doing the beachbody on demand videos, I love it. Right now I am challenging/killing myself and I have started with the 22min Hard Corps Boot camp series....I basically cry at the TV for 22 mins every day - lol

I was going to order the PiYo on DVD as well as Rockin Body from Beachbody. I have a feeling I maybe crying to if I do the PiYo or even try the Insanity. Kudos to you!

  2. Hi there! My hat off to you for staying active! I am a little over 5 months out. I am a July sleever. I work out everyday. I am doing something. I love to dance as opposed to the usual boring exercises. I ordered Shaun T's Cize workout on Beachbody.com and have fallen in love with it! It is different levels of dance regimens at different levels. You learn new dance routines, step by step guide, hot music and it is so fun! I recommend it to anyone who ask!

I am planning to order the Rocking Body workout as well, which is dance routines also. I do push ups, etc. I have lost over 65 lbs and to be honest my skin is sagging a bit and it is hard to see my body toning up, however you can feel it.

Let me know if you have any questions.

i just started a 3rd job so needless to say i’ve been back on coffee for a little over a month now. it’s fine for me, but i’m able to drink liquids with no issue and have been since the start so staying hydrated is relatively “easy”. the caffeine has been fine for me though, i wouldn’t be too scared. but maybe start with a weak coffee if you are nervous and then work your way to the good stuff

Hello all! It has been a long time since I have posted. I am a little over 4 months out. I was sleeved on July 23rd. I have quite a bit to say, however will keep this post short and post on my blog later regarding my progress. I started back drinking regular coffee after my 1st month out. However, I did encounter some issues with cramping, nausea, and diarrhea. I had to go through a period of elimination to figure out if it was the coffee or something else causing the symptoms. Needless to say after several trials I found out with great sadness that I am now lactose intolerant due to the surgery. It has taken quite a bit to finally find a dairy free Creamer that both myself and my pouch will tolerate. I do not drink much coffee unless I am going hard with studying. I drink plenty of Water using a variety of Crystal Light flavors. I cannot wait to share my weight loss journey with you guys later! Stay tuned! Hope everyone had a great holiday season.

  4. Hi all! I have not really been hungry. I have been struggling with getting enough food in because of this. Only eating 2 times a day. Only getting a few bites in and I'm done! I was out running errands and my daughter and I stopped at taco bell. I ended up getting a burrito with Beans, beef, sour cream, and nacho cheese. I barely got half of it in before my stomach gave me the signal to STOP!! It was so good that I didn't want to, but knew I HAD to. I haven't tried any veggies yet. Not even sure I can get any in! Lol! Anyone else experiencing this? Not to mention my taste buds are not the same.

  5. During my first week I did not have any problems with nausea or getting any fluids in. My problem was I felt so full I didn't want to drink anything. I had to force myself to drink just a little bit. This week has been better with getting the liquids in just struggling with the Protein Shakes. I have been drinking non fat milk to help get the Protein in. Even so, I can only drink maybe 1/2 cup or close to a cup and then that pressure in the stomach starts. So I am just going to start keeping it at 1/2 a cup every 30 minutes. That pressured feeling actually hurts!

  6. Thank you for explaining to us what your Surgeon explained to you regarding the energy. I walked for over an hour a couple of days ago. BIG MISTAKE on my part!!! I barely made it back home. I had no energy at all! I was so out of it the next day. I move around a little bit and then I am ready to drop. So now knowing what is going on in there makes me understand how important it is to take it easy and not push it.

  7. I am 12 days post op and probably getting about 300 calories in. I walked to the pharmacy to pick up my meds. 30 mins there and back. My energy level has been pretty low. I barely had the strength to make it back home. It was definitely a struggle. I guess I am not ready for that type of walking just yet. I have 1 more week on full liquids. Once I start the soft foods diet, I hope to have more energy.

  8. Congratulations on your surgery photogirl70! I am astonished that you went home the same day of surgery!! How did you manage that? I was so out of it when I woke up from surgery. I was talking like a drunk person and in pain all on 1 side!! I wish they would have tried to send me home!! They would have changed that suggestion real quick once they got a load of me and my mouth! Lol!

  9. Congratulations on your surgery! I am sorry you having difficulty with swallowing. It will get easier. I did not have any issues with swallowing. My issue has been to remember to sip. I get so thirsty sometimes I just want to chug it down. I am in my 2nd week and the pain has gone down, but I think I walked too much yesterday and moved around too much today that the pain flared back up some. Had to take my pain meds. I am better now, but I guess I need to slow it down a little. I am just real tired and sleepy. Let me know how you are doing.

  10. Glad you were cleared with no blockages! I am concerned about your blood pressure constantly going down during your procedures. Are you going to talk to your Surgeon about putting a plan in place should that happen again that would allow him to continue with your surgery and not stop it again?
