  1. I was going to order the PiYo on DVD as well as Rockin Body from Beachbody. I have a feeling I maybe crying to if I do the PiYo or even try the Insanity. Kudos to you!
  2. Hi there! My hat off to you for staying active! I am a little over 5 months out. I am a July sleever. I work out everyday. I am doing something. I love to dance as opposed to the usual boring exercises. I ordered Shaun T's Cize workout on Beachbody.com and have fallen in love with it! It is different levels of dance regimens at different levels. You learn new dance routines, step by step guide, hot music and it is so fun! I recommend it to anyone who ask! I am planning to order the Rocking Body workout as well, which is dance routines also. I do push ups, etc. I have lost over 65 lbs and to be honest my skin is sagging a bit and it is hard to see my body toning up, however you can feel it. Let me know if you have any questions.
  3. I understand how you feel about not wanting to cause a leak Rachel! I have been feeling the same way. I am about to start eating soft foods and very concerned about this. I want to make sure that I am eating enough food through out the day, but don't want to do anything that will cause a leakage?
  4. I start soft foods next week. I met with my NP today and she told me that your body has to adjust to getting food in again. Eat several times a day if you can. I am a diabetic so I have to get some carbs in there. Not alot, but enough to keep my sugars from crashing. Keep doing your exercises and as your body adjusts, the weight will start coming back off.
  5. Congratulations on your surgery!! You made it through! I was a bit nervous the day of surgery. Mines was scheduled for 1:30 pm. So imagine how I was prior to walking in that hospital! A total wreck! One thing I knew for sure of and that was I was READY!! Only gets better from here !
  6. I am so sorry that you have been having complications since surgery! I pray things get better for you!
  7. I was going to say Walmart and Price Chopper. I got mines mainly from Walmart.
  8. Glad you were cleared with no blockages! I am concerned about your blood pressure constantly going down during your procedures. Are you going to talk to your Surgeon about putting a plan in place should that happen again that would allow him to continue with your surgery and not stop it again?
  9. I am with Frustr8 too! I would like to know how you are doing and how things went with the Cardiologist?
  10. I am with BeeCat. I am also on full liquids for 3 weeks. I am in my 2nd week. I go for my 2 week follow up next week and should receive my diet plan for Weeks 4-6. Just take it easy and try not to rush it.
  11. Congratulations on getting sleeved! I was sleeved on the 23rd. I did not nor have I experienced any nausea at all. I felt the pressure in my chest pretty bad the first few days. It is a lot better now. I only had major pain at the biggest incision site where the stomach came out of. I am happy to say the pain is much better and do not have to take the pain meds. I have the gummy multivitamins and was instructed to start taking them along with the calcium citrate my 2nd week. The Vitamin B12 was started right after I was discharged.
  12. I bought the chewable Women's gummy MultiVitamins from Walmart. They tastes a little fruity. I was able to start taking them yesterday and have not experienced any problems. I also take the Liquid Calcium Citrate of 1000 mg, also from Walmart. It has the Vitamin D that I need in them. The. Vitamin B12 Sublingual tablets 500 mcg. I ended up asking my Doctor for Liquid medicine for the acid reflux. I crush all my meds and take them that way until I am cleared to take my meds whole again. Hope this helps.
  13. I honestly don't want to look at the scale. I want to feel the weight coming off by how I look, feel, and my clothes getting looser. I believe I can ha
  14. I am so sorry that you had to go through that! Be thankful to our Heavenly Father that your team put the brakes on! I am surprised that they did not have you do the works on heart tests. I was taking 4 blood pressure meds and my PCP would not sign off until I did an EKG, Echo, and the Nuclear Stress Tests. All those came back abnormal. I had to get an Angiogram and get cleared by a Cardiologist before my PCP signed off on the surgery. Since surgery, I have been only take 3 of my blood pressure meds because that 4th one tastes absolutely TERRIBLE crushed!! I would suggest getting cleared by a Cardiologist and talking to your Surgeon about your options on retrying the surgery. Much luck to you!
  15. I feel you on starting the liquid diet. I can tell you that it does get easier. By day 3 or 4 your body should start adjusting to it. My pre op diet was 10 days and I am 9 days post op still on the liquid diet. Concentrate on your why and it should motivate you to keep going and stick with it. I barely get hungry now. Just constantly thirsty. Good luck! You can do this!
  16. I am 9 days out. I am now on full liquids including 60 grams of shakes. I am finding it hard to get that 3rd shake in cause I fall asleep. I am constantly sipping on something every 30-40 minutes. Even if it is a popsicle.
  17. I was sleeved on the 23rd. I had 2 hernias that had to be repaired. I have not had trouble swallowing, but still feeling the gas pain in my chest. I walk around my apartment parking lot so it helps along with Gas X.
  18. Thanks for the support everyone!
