I was going to order the PiYo on DVD as well as Rockin Body from Beachbody. I have a feeling I maybe crying to if I do the PiYo or even try the Insanity. Kudos to you!

    Working out

Hi there! My hat off to you for staying active! I am a little over 5 months out. I am a July sleever. I work out everyday. I am doing something. I love to dance as opposed to the usual boring exercises. I ordered Shaun T's Cize workout on Beachbody.com and have fallen in love with it! It is different levels of dance regimens at different levels. You learn new dance routines, step by step guide, hot music and it is so fun! I recommend it to anyone who ask! I am planning to order the Rocking Body workout as well, which is dance routines also. I do push ups, etc. I have lost over 65 lbs and to be honest my skin is sagging a bit and it is hard to see my body toning up, however you can feel it. Let me know if you have any questions.
  3. Hello all! It has been a long time since I have posted. I am a little over 4 months out. I was sleeved on July 23rd. I have quite a bit to say, however will keep this post short and post on my blog later regarding my progress. I started back drinking regular coffee after my 1st month out. However, I did encounter some issues with cramping, nausea, and diarrhea. I had to go through a period of elimination to figure out if it was the coffee or something else causing the symptoms. Needless to say after several trials I found out with great sadness that I am now lactose intolerant due to the surgery. It has taken quite a bit to finally find a dairy free creamer that both myself and my pouch will tolerate. I do not drink much coffee unless I am going hard with studying. I drink plenty of water using a variety of Crystal Light flavors. I cannot wait to share my weight loss journey with you guys later! Stay tuned! Hope everyone had a great holiday season.

    July Sleeve

Hi all! I have not really been hungry. I have been struggling with getting enough food in because of this. Only eating 2 times a day. Only getting a few bites in and I'm done! I was out running errands and my daughter and I stopped at taco bell. I ended up getting a burrito with beans, beef, sour cream, and nacho cheese. I barely got half of it in before my stomach gave me the signal to STOP!! It was so good that I didn't want to, but knew I HAD to. I haven't tried any veggies yet. Not even sure I can get any in! Lol! Anyone else experiencing this? Not to mention my taste buds are not the same.

    July Sleeve

I was sleeved 7/23. I have lost 24 lbs so far. Started soft foods this week. Haven't really had to puree my food. I make sure it is soft enough. I get full so quickly.

    Getting sleeved tomorrow!

I understand how you feel about not wanting to cause a leak Rachel! I have been feeling the same way. I am about to start eating soft foods and very concerned about this. I want to make sure that I am eating enough food through out the day, but don't want to do anything that will cause a leakage?
  7. Congratulations guys on your upcoming surgery!! I start soft foods on Monday. I thought I would give it an early try and had some chili from Wendy's. I pureed it and my stomach has accepted it with ease. I am tired of liquids!
  8. I was told by my team that the gummy vitamins are ok. I didn't have bananas on my grocery list, but my NP told me to get some. It has potassium and help me with my sugars.
  9. I start soft foods next week. I met with my NP today and she told me that your body has to adjust to getting food in again. Eat several times a day if you can. I am a diabetic so I have to get some carbs in there. Not alot, but enough to keep my sugars from crashing. Keep doing your exercises and as your body adjusts, the weight will start coming back off.

    Getting sleeved tomorrow!

Congratulations on your surgery!! You made it through! I was a bit nervous the day of surgery. Mines was scheduled for 1:30 pm. So imagine how I was prior to walking in that hospital! A total wreck! One thing I knew for sure of and that was I was READY!! Only gets better from here !

Had my surgery 3 weeks ago.

I am so sorry that you have been having complications since surgery! I pray things get better for you!
  12. Tortilla soup sounds really good. I have been eating cream of chicken and cream of broccoli soup.
  13. Looking good saygrace!! I went into the office at the apartments where I live and one of the ladies commented that I looked smaller. I have a before picture, just haven't taken a pic where I am at now.
  14. I start my soft foods diet next week. I am so ready! Already making out my grocery list. I love Mexican food and can't wait to have some! I know I can't put all the usual toppings, but even a little will be just as good. Soft tortillas are supposed to be ok. Has anyone tried it during the soft foods phase?
  15. During my first week I did not have any problems with nausea or getting any fluids in. My problem was I felt so full I didn't want to drink anything. I had to force myself to drink just a little bit. This week has been better with getting the liquids in just struggling with the protein shakes. I have been drinking non fat milk to help get the protein in. Even so, I can only drink maybe 1/2 cup or close to a cup and then that pressure in the stomach starts. So I am just going to start keeping it at 1/2 a cup every 30 minutes. That pressured feeling actually hurts!
  16. Thank you for explaining to us what your Surgeon explained to you regarding the energy. I walked for over an hour a couple of days ago. BIG MISTAKE on my part!!! I barely made it back home. I had no energy at all! I was so out of it the next day. I move around a little bit and then I am ready to drop. So now knowing what is going on in there makes me understand how important it is to take it easy and not push it.
  17. I am finishing up my 2nd week and have low energy. I am sleeping half the day. My calorie intake is about 300 a day. I just recently bought Vitamin B12 supplements that I supposed to have started last week. I am hoping it will give me a bit more energy. I am drinking my liquids. Struggling with the protein shakes. So over them! I guess our energy levels vary from person to person.
  18. I am 12 days post op and probably getting about 300 calories in. I walked to the pharmacy to pick up my meds. 30 mins there and back. My energy level has been pretty low. I barely had the strength to make it back home. It was definitely a struggle. I guess I am not ready for that type of walking just yet. I have 1 more week on full liquids. Once I start the soft foods diet, I hope to have more energy.
