    July Sleeve

I am still having some pains in my shoulders. At first it was pressure in my chest as well. I believe it was gas and acid reflux. I am taking acid reflux meds so it has helped with the chest pain. Chewable Gas X for the gas pain. Hope this helps!

Congratulations on your surgery photogirl70! I am astonished that you went home the same day of surgery!! How did you manage that? I was so out of it when I woke up from surgery. I was talking like a drunk person and in pain all on 1 side!! I wish they would have tried to send me home!! They would have changed that suggestion real quick once they got a load of me and my mouth! Lol!

    Liquid diet

I was going to say Walmart and Price Chopper. I got mines mainly from Walmart.
  5. Congratulations on your surgery! I am sorry you having difficulty with swallowing. It will get easier. I did not have any issues with swallowing. My issue has been to remember to sip. I get so thirsty sometimes I just want to chug it down. I am in my 2nd week and the pain has gone down, but I think I walked too much yesterday and moved around too much today that the pain flared back up some. Had to take my pain meds. I am better now, but I guess I need to slow it down a little. I am just real tired and sleepy. Let me know how you are doing.

    In absolute shock

Glad you were cleared with no blockages! I am concerned about your blood pressure constantly going down during your procedures. Are you going to talk to your Surgeon about putting a plan in place should that happen again that would allow him to continue with your surgery and not stop it again?

    July surgery

Hi Gemini Sky. How is it on day 3 you are already able to eat food? I am in my 2nd week post op and I am on liquids for 3 weeks. I can't even take my meds without crushing them per my Surgeon's instructions. Did it hurt or cause you any problems? Just curious.

Stage 3/week 3 post op diet

I am with BeeCat. I am also on full liquids for 3 weeks. I am in my 2nd week. I go for my 2 week follow up next week and should receive my diet plan for Weeks 4-6. Just take it easy and try not to rush it.

    Just had my sleeve

Congratulations on getting sleeved! I was sleeved on the 23rd. I did not nor have I experienced any nausea at all. I felt the pressure in my chest pretty bad the first few days. It is a lot better now. I only had major pain at the biggest incision site where the stomach came out of. I am happy to say the pain is much better and do not have to take the pain meds. I have the gummy multivitamins and was instructed to start taking them along with the calcium citrate my 2nd week. The Vitamin B12 was started right after I was discharged.

    Vitamin help please!

I bought the chewable Women's gummy MultiVitamins from Walmart. They tastes a little fruity. I was able to start taking them yesterday and have not experienced any problems. I also take the Liquid Calcium Citrate of 1000 mg, also from Walmart. It has the Vitamin D that I need in them. The. Vitamin B12 Sublingual tablets 500 mcg. I ended up asking my Doctor for Liquid medicine for the acid reflux. I crush all my meds and take them that way until I am cleared to take my meds whole again. Hope this helps.
  13. I honestly don't want to look at the scale. I want to feel the weight coming off by how I look, feel, and my clothes getting looser. I believe I can ha

    July Sleeve

I got sleeved July 23rd. I am in my 2nd week Post Op. Happy Birthday to us all! My birthday was July 1st, so this is definitely a great way to start our year off right with new beginnings. I was already getting in the mindset of healthy eating, so when someone bought me a cake over, I cut me a piece, wrapped it back up, gave it back with a huge smile saying Thank You!! They looked at me like I had lost it! Who gives a birthday cake back?? LMAO!!

    In absolute shock

I am so sorry that you had to go through that! Be thankful to our Heavenly Father that your team put the brakes on! I am surprised that they did not have you do the works on heart tests. I was taking 4 blood pressure meds and my PCP would not sign off until I did an EKG, Echo, and the Nuclear Stress Tests. All those came back abnormal. I had to get an Angiogram and get cleared by a Cardiologist before my PCP signed off on the surgery. Since surgery, I have been only take 3 of my blood pressure meds because that 4th one tastes absolutely TERRIBLE crushed!! I would suggest getting cleared by a Cardiologist and talking to your Surgeon about your options on retrying the surgery. Much luck to you!

    Liquid diet

I feel you on starting the liquid diet. I can tell you that it does get easier. By day 3 or 4 your body should start adjusting to it. My pre op diet was 10 days and I am 9 days post op still on the liquid diet. Concentrate on your why and it should motivate you to keep going and stick with it. I barely get hungry now. Just constantly thirsty. Good luck! You can do this!
  17. I am 9 days out. I am now on full liquids including 60 grams of shakes. I am finding it hard to get that 3rd shake in cause I fall asleep. I am constantly sipping on something every 30-40 minutes. Even if it is a popsicle.
  18. Just started my 2nd week post op! July 23rd.
  19. Today is my 3rd day Post Op. Had my surgery on Monday. Overall, I am doing good! My surgery went great! I am moving around ok. My pain level is normal. My greatest pain is the biggest insertion site. The gas pain is slowly going away. It is mostly in my chest and shoulders. Taking the chewable Gas X. I mostly slept all day once I came home from the hospital. I did not meet my protein nor liquids goal yesterday. I plan to meet it today. My biggest challenge is my meds. Getting them down in the crushed state! They are just plain NASTY!! I am happy to begin this second part of my journey and have been feeling at peace.

    Post Op - 2 days

I was sleeved on the 23rd. I had 2 hernias that had to be repaired. I have not had trouble swallowing, but still feeling the gas pain in my chest. I walk around my apartment parking lot so it helps along with Gas X.

    Wearing cpap after surgery?

Thank you so much for this info! They didn't tell me to bring it on Monday when I go for my surgery. I was going to take it anyway. I was expecting to immediately be relieved of sleep apnea after surgery. Now I see it isn't that easy! Lol! Silly me!

    Finally Here!

You should be able to have sugar free popsicles. It is a liquid. That as well as sf jello. Both are liquids. This is what I have been told to eat.
