    Food Before and After Photos

I actually made this for a meal with my 96 year old grandmother 😂 I gravitate to cooking comfort food all year round. Sauce + starch is my happy place.

    I’m riding the struggle bus.

I agree with @Meadow76, you don't have to eat breakfast food for breakfast. You can eat anything that appeals to you and on plan. (Lifelong breakfast hater here) Secondly, you have lost 47 lbs in 3.5 months? Why would that make you discouraged and lose motivation? That is a huge amount of weight in a short amount of time.

Where can I sign up for abs? Specifically abs that have seen some sunlight 😂
  4. Early bird gets the bread 😭 As I understand it, the demand was unexpected. The supplier had to take a hiatus to ramp up their capacity
  5. I had chicken over Greek pasta salad last night. You could sub the pasta with like, umm, lettuce? 😂 For curry, I use pastes. I can’t get the right flavor without them. Golden Curry is Japanese & can be found at most grocery stores, at least near me. And for Thai, Mae Ploy off Amazon is pretty amazing. For Indian I’ve used Shan brand powder mixes in the past. I’ve only seen those at Indian Markets though.
  6. So envious, I have yet to be able to find this at any local Aldi 😭

Golf- When did you start back post op?

I didn't. But I had almost no abdominal pain from the surgery whatsoever.

    Alcohol?? 🤔

You are being judgemental. Alcohol is just empty calories, to you, but why do you think there is anything wrong with someone enjoying some good wine with dinner, or beer while watching a game with friends, or savoring a well made cocktail? As to the OP - my experience is similar to @ms.sss. I drank rarely during my WLS phase. I didn't want to add the empty calories and slow down my weight loss. Once I got near goal I added alcohol back in. Now at 2.5 years out my alcohol consumption is pretty similar to pre WLS. Alcohol definitely hits me harder and faster, but is nothing unmanageable. But I attribute that more to being 1/2 the weight I was pre WLS then anything specific to my sleeve.

Golf- When did you start back post op?

I think I golfed for the first time 5-6 weeks post? Nothing too surprising, I was quite exhausted, and didn't play the whole 18. Pretty much what you'd expect having had recent surgery and while consuming very few calories.

    Is McDonalds gone for good?

That's not the point for everyone. There is misconception that some foods make you fat, and that healthy weight individuals don't eat those "bad" foods. When the reality is it is (mostly) about finding the calories that either keep you losing or maintaining weight. Also for me, and I sure for others as well, it's about finding a balance of foods that don't make me feel deprived.

    Good bye I guess...

If you check her post history, you will see no one here was an "a-hole" to her. She received some genuine advice.
  14. Got to disagree with the statement that good surgeons only do one procedure at a time. Most surgeons do multiple procedures at one time, including very reputable ones. All surgeons have maximum surgical time limits. In the US it is generally 6-8 hours. I suspect that is why your surgeon does one surgery at a time, his surgical times are abnormally lengthy. For instance I had a lower body lift and breast augmentation in the same amount of time you had knee and calf lipo.
  15. My scar progression is red > purple > pink > white line I'm 8 months post plastics and my scars are in the light purple to pink stage
  16. I had no problem handling spice at any point post op. I would say though that Tteokbakki, Jjangmyun & ramen probably aren’t practical choices early in post op. You’ll most likely have a lot of restriction and won’t have much room left for theses items once you fit in your protein. Good news is Korean food has lots of tasty protein options, so as long as you can tolerate it you should be able to enjoy familiar flavors

  22. I have no attachment to Built Bars (protein bars are not my thing), but I didn’t read anything damming in that article. I’d have to see the evidence in the lawsuit to determine if the company is in the wrong and is undeserving of my business. (For instance, I would never purchase Genepro due to the evidence in the lawsuit against them, and Genepro’s lack of response to the suit)

    Protein Water

I like Protein H2O. I can’t detect any protein taste.
