Huge influx of random flirting
sillykitty replied to Polymorphing's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Here’s the stupid part, women do not want pics of some random dudes donger. In the history of dating, a random donger pic has never led to a date led alone a long term relationship. Some men are so stupid. So true! I've always taken it as more of a power play, or exhibitionism vs. anyone really thinking it would lead to sex though -
Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
sillykitty replied to FluffyChix's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
Lol ... no, not AYCE. I've narrowed it down to two restaurants I think he has in mind.. One has ceviche, so that is a good option. The other has great steaks, but such a waste, considering I don't like left over steak. I don't think my date eats steak at the same temp as I do, so sharing is probably out .... hmmm ... -

Definitely lucky! The only downside is I definitely don't get my money out of AYCE, even though we stretched it out to a 2 hr meal and went during lunch so it was cheaper! -

Celebrated hitting goal by going to a AYCE restaurant for lunch. Ok, not really, this lunch date was already planned. Funny place, it advertises as a Japanese Shabu Shabu restaurant, but it is in a predominantly Korean area, so it is really a fusion between Shabu Shabu and Hot Pot. Best of both worlds, the individual pots of Shabu Shabu, but intense flavors of Hot Pot. Could have been totally legit, if I had stuck to the meat only, but some noodles and gyoza snuck their way in Up 0.4 this morning. Not surprised considering I'm retaining water, probably due to the dipping sauces. Good news is I did IF yesterday, and most likely will do so again. Date night tonight. Going to an Argentinian restaurant. Trying to figure out which one specifically. The city I know we going to has three ... hmmm .... -
Addicted to canned string beans with apple cider vinegar!
sillykitty replied to likehasjustbegun's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
What about pickled eggs? You can make them yourself! Grilled chicken with vinegar-y buffalo sauce? Ceviche? Lentil soup topped with a healthy dose of vinegar Avgolemono soup? I make a cheat version with cream of chicken and a lot of lemon juice Carne Asada, Pollo Asada, Carnitas with a big squeeze of lime (Can you tell I'm a vinegar/acid fan myself? ) I don't (and never really did) do the chewing to mush thing ... no issues, nothing ever got stuck, but YMMV -
Totally natural to feel jealous, but I concur with this. It's really better to focus on your own success. She may end up ultimately failing, but there certainly are people who have been successful post WLS surgery with no real diet plan. It's not fair, but it's not different than how Sally in accounting can eat donuts and chips all day and still wear a size 4. We have all dealt with those types out whole lives, your coworker is just a WLS version

One thing, I plan to rent a reclining lift chair after surgery, and will most likely live in it for a few weeks!

That's great @GreenTealael I'm just doing mild IF, not eating in the morning because I'm naturally not hungry. I'm not timing it, but it likely 14:10 or something like that (or would that be 10:14?) Weight is continuing to come off slowly, which is amazing considering the crap I've been eating. I'm still in the honeymoon period it seems! Or maybe it's the cardio -
Worried About Hair Loss?
sillykitty replied to GreenTealael's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I just wanted to emphasize this point. Once hair loss start, it is hair that went into the "sleep" cycle, sometime back, most likely around the time of WLS. Once the folicle "wakes up", it pushes the old hair out, and that's your hair loss. Most of the time hair loss doesn't begin until 2-3 months out from surgery. I also wanted to note that you could be doing everything right, hitting your protein, taking biotin from the beginning and still have hair loss. I think there is some genetics or luck involved as well. -
To Break Fast or Not to Break Fast
sillykitty replied to hap314ness's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
How about just a protein shake in the morning? I am similar, I have never been a breakfast eater. And eating breakfast makes me hungrier throughout the day. But early on, I wouldn't suggest doing any sort of fast. I wouldn't say it's necessary to eat strictly within an hour of waking up, but I wouldn't wait until early lunch time either. I know personally I needed a big eating window in order to get in my protein. -

Medifast Products
sillykitty replied to Swanton_Bomb's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I use Medifast. Their chocolate shakes are the tastiest of all I've tried (I've tried a lot) There is noting in my plan against soy. I developed a whey intolerance post op, so I needed to find alternatives, and soy was one of them. -

Great, but oh no! It will be one of those stories 10 yrs from now ..."remember our first Thanksgiving, when we hit that deer?" Hitting a deer is one of my worst fears whenever I drive in "deer country", which is thankfully not often! -
Intermittent Fasting Daily Menu/Results/Accountability
sillykitty replied to FluffyChix's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I think it is a good sign. By far the most common issue I've found is men are not looking to commit, that want to keep their options open, indefinitely, and the guys who are looking for a side piece. So the fact you're meeting the family rules those two issues out for the most part. How did it go?!?! -

I thought the exact same thing!! Wow! I mean I've been dating since August, and still am unsure when we start calling each other bf/gf, and tip toeing into the family meet with going to a hockey game with a cousin! Not much of a cat and mouse game, lol!
