I don't have kids, so I can't comment on that part I can say though that my family does not have a big food culture. Of course we have holidays and what not, but no big groaning table of food on a regular basis. Food was never treated as a a reward or a comfort. My food education went wrong in a different way. The most important attributes of food when growing up was tasty and easy/quick. No emphasis at all on healthfulness. This part though: "She taught me to cook for everyone, bring treats to neighbors, feed people at work, list everything in the pantry to house guests, make their favorites, cook exquisite resplendent meals.....because feeding people means....you love them/appreciate them/want their respect/want to comfort them and put them at ease." I don't agree that is a problem, or something that should or even can be changed. This is the culture literally all over the world. We welcome people, we make them feel loved/wanted/appreciated by inviting them in to our home and feeding them. It has been that way since the beginning of time, hence the term "breaking bread" with someone. Even in business, we don't build relationship across a conference table. We invite people out and we eat a drink. Walls come down when we do this. It's human nature. I don't think the hospitality aspect of food is the problem. Those occasions, like holidays are rare enough that they should be able to be worked into a healthy diet. It's the chronic poor choices that are the issue IMO

Riced cauliflower - Bleh! no way to cover up the cauliflower taste Yasso Greek Yogurt bars - crazy delicious, doesn't taste like diet ice cream Halo Top - I know people love this, but I can't deal with the weird taste and texture Barrilla Protein Pasta - I can't tell the difference at all, nice way to get extra protein Shirataki Noodles - I can't get past the smell when you open the pack, seriously gag inducing Birdseye Veggie Made Pasta - People love this as well, but it tastes too off to me. Sugar Free Popsicles - Ok, also loved, but the artificial taste is too much for me PB2 Peanut Butter Powder - Good to add to chocolate shakes to break the monotony Soy Protein Isolate - Can't do whey so I thought this would be a good shake add in alternate, way too gritty Skinnygirl Dressing - So artificial tasting, threw them out Kay's Naturals Protein Chips, Crispy Parmesan - these are actually craveable Protein Soup from Bariatric Pal - Most I tried have been tasty and a good non sweet way to get protein in

Of my current regime, Zinc is the only one that upsets my stomach. If I don't eat that with food it's horrible. So if I'm left with it at night, I just skip it. These prental multi's are great, they don't upset my stomach even when empty -
Lol .. thanks! I do have a good hip/waist proportion. It's just the stupid tummy below my waist I hate. These dresses do a good job of hiding that. I can't wait till I have my tummy tuck and don't have to worry about tummy camoflage!

Yeah, when I'm home I just put them next to my computer and take them all randomly through out the day. When I'm traveling it's harder, so sometimes I do ending up downing a bunch of them before bed. -

Normal dose ... but that is 3 pills. A double dose would be daunting! I also take, Biotin, B complex, B12 sublingual, Zinc, L-lysine, Calcium -

There are no gummies that are complete enough. I looked high and low because most vitamins upset my stomach. You can definitely take pills again. I was taking small one a couple of weeks post op. About a month out I was taking all my supplements in pill form. I take Whole Foods Prenatal Multivitamins. They were recomended by my suregeons PA because they are very complete and are easy on the stomach. I buy them on Amazon https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B074KKKMBQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 -
I'm at the point where all my clothes have become so big and baggy I can no longer pull them off and look professional. I've been moving down sizes in slacks and jeans, but held off on shirts and dresses. I found two dresses that I absolutely love, and look f*cking amazing on me, in my not so humble opinion. Oh and they are size 12!

I think that is an important lesson. We all have to deal with temptation. We cannot be insulated from it. So facing it and conquering it is what we need for long term success. -

Antibiotics are pretty standard with any surgery. I'd be surprised if they didn't give you antibiotics. -
Hope my nutritionist doesn’t hate me

I agree, you really need to get into the habit of logging. That way you'll know if you're hitting your protein goals, where you are with calories, etc. -
Exactly! I've actually had to get rid of new clothes I've bought, because they've outgrown me now as well!

I've been purging everything as I go down in sizes. If it doesn't fit and I'm not going to alter it, then it goes.
