  1. I have pituitary tumor. My doctor told me that 10% of all people may have pituitary tumor, but pituitary tumors are in different type such as PRL, GH, TSH, ACTH...that may cause different hormone disturbance. Some type of pituitary tumor is not allowed to do the surgery (which I believe is the ACTH one?), as you will start to lose weight by taking medicine to control hormone. Mine was neither of the above types, it is just a tumor that is nonfunctional. I think you have to do a lot of blood tests to ensure which type of pituitary tumor you have.

    Please help - very sick

I think you are dehydrated. Call your surgeon instead of asking advice here.
  3. Had my GS op on 12th Dec 2018. Now I am experiencing a high level of uric acid of more than 700umol/L ... I didn't have this uric acid problem pre-op. Dr. has only said drink more water but I am really worried. It is really hard to drink 2L water per day.. Does anyone have the same problem? Uric acid pre-op was fine but go extremely high post-op? why does that happen and what to do???
  4. My uric acid is fine now : ) Losing weight fast and surgery itself can cause uric acid level going high as body stress reaction, just drink more water and wait.

    3 week stall?

I sleeved on 1/12. Lost 19 pds at the first week when I left the hospital. Now it has been another two weeks, I lost only 4 pds after then, but I am not so worried about it. It will pass anyway, and come again and again sometime.

  9. Thx. I have been taught by my Dr. what the result would be due to high uric acid. : ( I also have a friend who did the GS Op have the same uric acid problem, but she was getting better after the first month. I found some online doc said that the high uric acid in the early stage of Gastric Op is caused by fast weight loss including muscle loss, many people will experience it. \ I am asking because my doctor didn't give any medicine to take, just said take more water ...

Heart burn is usually caused by gastroesophageal reflux. Did you still take ur PPI medicine? Leak is a big problem but usually comes with more serious syptoms. Talk to ur Dr.
