I’m March 12 also. I’ve been in liquid diet for 2 weeks. I’m scared to! It’s very scary and I’m a little under the weather right now to. The thought of postponing and starting over....no way!! I’m keeping my eye on the prize. I know I’ll go into the hospital on Monday, go to sleep and when I wake up it will be the start of my new life and that get me excited! -
I know they say afterward people are tired bc of the lack of calorie intake. Anyone tired during the pre-op liquid diet? I’m exhausted but I also feel like I may be getting sick. Surgery is scheduled for Monday please cross your fingers for me!

In March 12 to! Can’t believe I’ve made it this far on my liquid diet. Had my surgery cleared yesterday. The countdown is on! I’m excited but really nervous...

I have bcbs. I did 4 weigh in, endoscopy, pulmonary, cardiologist, nutrition, pysc, and sleep apnea test. BMI is 40. Having my surgery on march 12. It seems like a lot but it goes by really fast. I remember when I started dreading all the BS but now it's here and I can't wait!!

Please share bc I'm 1 week in to my two week and I'm starving. I was good in the beginning but now I'm dying!!!

I’m on day 5. I made some fat free/sugar feee pudding with fat free milk and it’s very filling. I split them up into half cup servings so I don’t eat to much. But pretty much everyday I have water, 3-4 protein shakes, chicken broth, sugar free jello and sugar free pudding. I’m dying to chew something!! Lol

Does anyone know why we can't have caffeine on the liquid pre op diet? I started today and I'm just curious as to why no coffee....I'm having a hard time with that. Thanks

I decided to kick the coffee habit on the start date of my liquid pre op. My first 2 days was a living hell. I was hungry had the most excruciating headache and I felt like my head was in the clouds. I started feeling better in day 3. I’m now on day 4 and I can say I feel way better. I’m still a little hungry...well maybe not hungry I just wanna chew something! Lol. I guess it’s all old habits that have to be broken;)

I have a couple questions....So I'm going to begin my 2 week liquid diet and this makes me more nervous than the actual surgery! How bad was it?? I drink coffee every morning and now I can't have any[emoji51]. How much did you lose on the 2 week liquid diet??

I heard that's carbonated drinks are forbidden because it can stretch out the new stomach as well as cause bad gas pains

I'm using same practice just a different dr. I'm scheduled for march 12. The process seems long and drawn out in the beginning but now that my date is here I'm excited and nervous! I also have BCBS. I think I stared my process in sept-October -
I am getting mine done march 12th. I told my husband and my parents and that is all. Hoping to keep it al low key as possible. I'm only taking a week off work. Telling work I have a busy week with the kids[emoji51]
