ccmac92 reacted to JazmaniaRNY in Some Recipes for people unable to get protein and would like to try something new....
Hi, I am post-op RNY 2/7/18 and determined to get my Protein in so I have tried to be creative for Phase 1 of my full-liquid diet. This is just me wanting to share for anyone wanting to try it out. I am not a fan of the Protein Shakes. I have yet to make Decaf with protein premier.
    #1- Protein Creamy Jell-O
    8oz vanilla Premier Protein shake
    8oz Fairlife Milk
    4oz Water
    2.5 tbsp of plain gelatine
Warm 4oz of water and mix jell-o packs add to the milks and divide into 2oz cups. Let sit in fridge for 1 hour.
Mixture makes 12 x 2oz cups. Each one should total to about 2.9 grams of protein per 2oz cup. They are good. Remember to mix really well in water before adding to cold milk. You don’t want any lumps. I am not the best at typing up recipes so I apologize.
    #2 Protein broth
16oz Sams Choice Vegan Protein Broth (9 grams per serving Protein)
4 oz Cream of chicken ( 2 grams per serving Protein)
4 oz Chicken Broth (2 grams per serving Protein)
Heat all in small sauce pot or microwave. I prefer in a sauce pot. Per 2oz portion it is 2.2 grams of protein.
It may not seem like a lot, but Protein adds up and taste better warm or in texture vs liquid all the time. Good luck to everyone. Again, I am just placing down a couple of things I tried today and it seemed to help. Just my experience to yours. Also reminder low sodium and low fat items. Good luck!!!! If anyone else has other recipes, shoot them over. I would love to try new stuff!!

I just finished purees and am on soft food now. My favorite thing, both for taste and ease of eating, was and still is cottage cheese. I always loved cottage cheese and I found that it went down so easily, that it remains a favorite. Also, I loved the pea Soup I made from scratch.

Im almost 2 weeks post-op from my gastric sleeve so I’m still on my full liquid diet. I can have high Protein Soups or cream soups with skim milk (like cream of chicken + one “can” of skim milk).
I can still have broth and I’ve been drinking the Campbells Chucky/Hearty soups (healthy heart version with low fat, low sodium, low calories) mainly broth then I’ve been blending some of the cooked vegetables and I had no problem keeping it down and digesting it.
Today I took a can and only added half of the cooked vegetables and blended it really smooth and added a scoop of Isopure unflavored protein. It’s blended up very well with no chunks at all (just has a Tomato Soup consistency) I haven’t eaten it yet but I’m concerned maybe I can’t have it yet I’m very worried about following my diet.
I was told by a few people that they were allowed to do this on their full liquid and their doctors said as long as they can keep it down cause the main focus is making sure your body can stomach it (pun intended) and digest it probably

A little more FYI crucify? I draught all my children girl and 2 bous to wipdone that way. Freaked my late husband out when he happened to observe oNE of our sons. I didn't think anything about it, shoot if he wanted to,be in charge of bathroom habits he should have stayed home instead of working 12 and even 15 hour shifts at his office. Second reason if he had the ITIs I've had in my lifetime he truly, would have understood. We, as God's ultimate model with 3 not 2 openings were blessed with a very short urethra so bacteria have an easy march up to the bladder. Hello pain and suffering!

Soft foods has soooo many options not sweet. I was so damn sick of sweet drinks myself during my pre op diet. I’m on week 2 and I purée my favorite Soups in the blender. I bought ready made cauliflower balls from costco and chew it really well. Moist deli meat! Yum! Eggs! Well Steamed non fibrous vegetables you can eat or purée. Hummus! So many hummus has different flavors to choose too! Ripe avocado
