Only 50lbs loss in 7.5 months
Did you have the by pass or sleeve? The reason I ask is I was going to have the sleeve but my surgeon highly suggested the bypass for more weight loss. Because I have noticed that the people that have the sleeve lose less weight than the people that have the bypass I am assuming that is because with the sleeve you still have a larger stomach capacity so you can actually eat more versus the bypass where you have a little bitty pouch. I am not quite six months out and then 112 pounds lighter so I am very thankful for my surgeon knowing and recommending the bypass. Also I was weighing every two weeks but now I only weigh once a month that way if you did have a stall then you wouldn't really notice it because I was very afraid if I seen a weight gain or a stall it would mess with my mind so once a month is all I will wait now and I am still averaging about 8 to 10pounds a month loss.

Lol on my 2 week liquid diet preop I licked a dorito. I HAD TOO....just licked. Since my surgery 5 months post op Its kinda hard to cheat since i still can only get about 3 bites of anything. But I guessa bite of my son's recess cup would be cheating. But it was a small bite. Lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using BariatricPal mobile app

Mashed potatoes
I stay away from any meats still, except for a fine shaved turkey breast, but yes tuna, salmon, I tried crab salad but it just didnt taste good. I have never been a big cheese eater even before my surgery, but i have tried a string cheese but like 2 small bites.

Mashed potatoes
Yes, I now get to enjoy tuna, salmon. Soft fishes. I always have Greek yogurt at home, and my office. Definitely.

Mashed potatoes
Oh I own it, no where does it say a go to EVERYDAY.... I never thought about putting my protein powder in them. But yes I still have yogurt with protein powder also. I hope yogurt is OK with the food police.

Mashed potatoes
Yes a legit post. I am post op, and yes I know that they are considered a slider food. I was just trying to see what foods others have found settle on their new stomachs, after surgery and transitioning from liquid, to pureed, its not easy to know what will and will not settle. Trust me potatoes are not on the regular menu, and when i do enjoy them its 2 or 3 little bites. So calm yourself.

Mashed potatoes
I found that mashed potatoes are my go-to food. I have taken a bite or two of a few different items but it seems like after a long day a nice little bowl mashed potatoes is just perfect. Another thing that I am discovering I really like is hot tea I was a huge sweet tea drinker before my surgery, but now I really enjoy a cup of hot tea one every few days it just seems to make my stomach feel great. Anybody else have any go-to foods or drinks that they want to share?

10 weeks post op
So hard to believe it was 10 weeks ago today, we just got back from a 7 day cruise where I took baby bites of pretty much anything I wanted but I didn't overstep anything because I definitely didn't want to spend my vacation sick. I'm so happy to say I lost 4 lb on our seven day cruise which puts me at a total of 69 pounds lost in 10 weeks. I am so excited about the weight loss my surgeon seems definitely very pleased and knock on wood I haven't had any sickness I did have about a 20 to 30-minute bout with the foamies. Which was not very pleasant whatsoever and I researched it to kind of see what could have caused it. So I hope everybody is doing well good luck with everybody that's on either side of the bench and just keep up the great work.

You look different, did you lose weight?
My co-workers and some of my customers at work have noticed they will say things like oh you look great or did you do something different only my coworker that I work with on a daily basis knows about my surgery I haven't told any of my customers and then of course like my brother and sister-in-law if I haven't seen them in about you know couple few weeks they will be like why you look great.

Wedding ring resizing
Im in the same boat. I bought a few of the plastic ring guard things but they suck. I am constantly checking to make sure my ring is still on my finger. I can now put my wedding ring on my middle finger. I need to have mine resized, but yes want to wait a little while longer since Im still losing weight.
