  6. So I hadn't lost weight much weight in 2-3 months had been upsetting bc I was only 5 months out. I decided Monday I'm doing a reset. 3 days clear liquids. 4 days full liquids. 1 week soft foods. (this is my own plan not doctor) I am happy with the reset so far! I was 187 and day 3 I'm 183. I am getting full again and noticing a difference. I feel like I did in my 2nd month. I'm happier and more optimistic about the weight loss. I'm almost to goal 170lb I'm so excited!!! I also found walmart had their own brand of SMART with electrolytes. I love it!!! Im curious how does everyone do their reset? Was it successful? Did it kick your metabolism back into gear?

  9. My breakfasts normally are one of the following: Cottage cheese 2oz and fruit 2oz. I seperate them. I cant eat together grosses me out. Cottage cheese 3oz and 1 oz jalepeno. Almost tastes like a stuffed jalepeno. 2 Hard boiled eggs with a few cheese cubes. Cheese cubes give it the salt taste so I don't add any salt. 1 egg omlet (normally with fajita meat, onion, pepper, and cheese) 1 egg scrambled with little shredded cheese and 1-2 pieces of well done bacon. I avoid oatmeal and Cereal too high in carbs. Love it but its heavy on my stomach and carbs :-( If I have oatmeal it's very rare. I will use splenda and craisins. I eat 4-6 eggs a day to help get my protien intake. If you eat a lot of eggs I recommend the Copperchef Egg Cooker! At Walmart for $20 in the as seen on TV stuff. Makes omelets, hard boiled eggs and pouched eggs perfectly. I love it!!!! So easy!!! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

  13. Oh most certainly. I even started calling myself crazy bc I was the only one who didnt see it. Even with my clothes dragging.
  14. Yes! Know exactly what you mean! I hit -75lbs and didnt understand why I couldn't see it. Dropped pant/dress sizes. Started calling myself crazy. Counseling definitely helped me and I recommend it. We all have different battles and we need to continue the fight.
  15. Thank you [emoji4] definitely find one. It has helped tremendously. Just remember if you find a counselor that you don't mesh well that's okay. There are plenty more.

  23. I just wanted to let anyone out there know if you are even thinking about counseling or therapy DO IT!!! If you have done it and it didnt feel comfortable it's okay try a different counselor or therapist. Don't give up. Its can be like finding the right pair of jeans. You have to find the right brand and size. The counselor/therapist just needs to have the right insight and personality for you. I will happily share my story. I couldn't see my weight loss and I've lost over 10 pant sizes!!! In counseling I have learned I look in the mirror and don't see my physical self. I see my mental self. Now I'm working on my difficulties and learned to look at my physical self. I see my weight loss!!! I feel more positive about everything!!! I have learned a lot about myself and how to cope. I am becoming a more happy, optimistic person. My weight will no longer be my escape route or defense mechanism!!! Again please go to counceling even if you have the slightest feeling or doubt in yourself in this WLS journey. We weren't born with a BMI of 30+. There are reasons and sometimes talking it out is EYE OPENING!!! Remember: You mental health is just as important as you physical health.

  29. Thank you I have gotten counseling. I have gone to 2 sessions and I am working through self esteem and self image issues. I'm starting to see the weight loss as we work through some issues. [emoji4]
  30. I definitely recommend the counseling I have had 2 sessions now. It really has made a difference! I have learned I used my weight as a defense mechanism and emotionally eat or starve myself due to depression. Also I look in the mirror and I do not see my physical self which is why I dont see my weight loss. I see my mental damages, low self esteem and self image. I am now slowly seeing my weight loss and recognizing the clothes are too big!
  31. I know exactly what you mean. I was wearing size 24 Jean's. My mom came to my house for the holidays (we live in different states) and she made me try on some 16 Jean's. THEY FIT!!! WITHOUT A BELT!!! I didnt want to try them bc in my mind I thought only one leg would fit un them. Definitely just try our brains play tricks.
