I get my Premier Protein shakes on Amazon. (I'm amazed you got all the way through surgery without having them. They were a staple of my pre-op diet.) banana is my favorite...
That sounds good too!!

Whew...lol. I've read some crazy stories on here where people got sent home with little to no info and it always amazes me that there are doctors out there that actually do that.
The store here sells quite a bit of Protein powders. I really, really love Unjury but it's pricey. Others are big fans of Premier. I often order my stuff off of Amazon. I use Body Fortress which isn't anything great but gets the job done.
On my sheet I want to say after week 3 or 4 it says to stop the Protein Shakes (I could be wrong) but if that's the case I don't want to order online and have it get here a week before I'm not supposed to take anymore lol if you know what I mean

How much Protein are we supposed to have daily? I am going to force myself to drink some Protein Shake today. I haven't had any since pre op diet bc it was too sweet after. I got the Atkins shakes from Walmart does anyone know how many of those I would have to drink in one day to be at the right amount? I'm 10 days post op

Post op 10 days and bad pain in my butt and sides (like on side of butt below hips) hurts to sit esp on toilet! Has anyone else had the same issue? I've googled and searched but can't seem to find anything except people who have lost large amounts of weight and have no fat there. That's def not my problem lol

Just now, pollymatin said:I felt the same way, second guessing my decision. I had a prescription pain med to help me. Take it one day at a time. It’s been a bit over a month and I’m just getting used to eating tiny meals. I would actually love a chicken Caesar salad! Not yet.
What kinds of food are you eating now? I'm craving mashed potatoes sooo bad

Did the gurgles ever go away? I'm 4 days post op and it's so bad I'm just nauseas almost all day

Just do your best to get some Fluid and your Protein Shakes in. Force yourself to walk. I took chewable gas x twice a day. Nap and doze if you need to.
Hopefully in a few weeks, you’ll be like me, eating chicken Caesar salads for lunch and wondering what you’ll look like by the end of the year!
Omg that sounds sooo good right now! I really hope I will be able to eat that in a month! About how much are you able to eat at a time? I had my first popsicle tonight and not sure if it was that or my Tylenol wore off but I'm so nauseas and hurting.

That's what I figured but the oncall dr said gas pain will not feel like kidney stone pain?

Anyone having back pain? I had surgery Wednesday morn came home yesterday.. last night was so hard to sleep because of the back pain and have had it all morning.. at first it started low down by kidneys and radiates upward but then will feel like kidney stone pain. Hard to tell if it's gas or if I should go get checked for kidney stones or maybe a uti?

Thank you everyone it's very scary and I don't think anything could have prepared me for this. I'm following drs orders so hopefully in another couple weeks I'll feel better about this!

Had gastric bypass Wednesday morning. I came home today (Friday) from hospital. I'm second guessing my choice now and have been in tears. I am still having so much pain and Tylenol isn't touching it. I'm miserable from pain and no sleep. I can't eat bc broth is about the only thing allowed and it just makes me nauseas to put down. I'm scared to eat in the upcoming weeks bc I don't want to throw up. I know it sounds stupid but this whole thing quickly turned into a nightmare for me. Anyone else had similar thoughts?

I'm going on my 3rd day after gastric bypass. Hopefully get to leave later today. My question is.. during the first week post op diet.. all liquid.. can you feel your stomach get full? I'm nervous to find out how much food I will be able to eat and what will happen if I don't catch myself and end up throwing up. So far in hospital I've had just Water and watered down cranberry juice and Decaf coffee but I didn't notice a difference in my stomach as to if I was getting full

I just had mine yesterday morning.... was in a ton of pain and only pain meds they offer is Tylenol . I did get them to give me toradel which helped ease pain a little bit. I can tell it's starting to wear off. When I woke up from surgery it felt like one huge labor pain that was constant and wouldn't go away
7 days post op.. does this look normal

I had to go in the other day and I showed them. Dr. Said it's a reaction from the glue
