Thanks everybody! That is what I’m hopping for @336Mike! We are 3 months out from a beach trip. I am hoping some smaller sizes are in my near future.

@frust8 Yep! That’s one of my little gremlins.

Was sleeved on 1/10. I started my 6 month pre-op journey in June at a weight of 368. My next visit was at an all time high of 370. That is when it hit me that I wasn’t mentally ready and I knew that I had to mentally prepare before I would truest be ready. The next visit I had dropped some weight and then some more the next. I was feeling good losing weight and I slow came to realize that I was truly ready. In my December appointment I was down to 360ish and I was excited to get my surgery date for January. Surgery day rolled around and I weighed in at 340 (after an awesome 2wk pre-op diet). Over the last 2 months I have experienced two stalls and many mini-victories. My first stall lasted 5-6 days at around week 3. My second stall lasted a little over 2 weeks, I just overcame it two days ago and was getting very frustrated. I was at my 300 pound brick wall. I weighed in at 301.6 everyday for two weeks straight! I thought my scale was broke, but no matter where I moved it to on the floor in the bathroom, kitchen, bedroom.... garage, it didn’t make a difference! Still 301.6.... Finally, two days ago I crawled on my scale and BAMM! I beat down my brick wall and seen a beautiful 299.5 and this morning 297.6. With this accomplishment behind me I am excited once again and am looking forward to my next mini goal of 280. I find it mentally satisfying of setting small realistic goals and reaching them. If my only goal is to reach 200, I will have a long miserable journey. But, if I set small goals I will enjoy my journey and not be discouraged as easy. So here I am, 9 weeks 2 days out and a total of 72.4 pounds lost since my July 2017 weigh-in. i have read so many encouraging stories on here. I hope that mine may bring some comfort to somebody that is discouraged due to a stall or even had a bad weigh-in during their pre-op phase. Good luck and have fun on your journey to a better life!

will the ninja blender work for pureed foods?
Tyson4834 replied to indacrucible's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have used my ninja to make a couple of puréed foods. I have the food processor attachment and have used it for bean purée and have also made applesauce and carrot purée. It works well for making a chicken pate as well When I made a 3 week out version of chicken salad. So yes, a ninja will work for you. -

Awesome progress! What is your daily calorie and protein intake? -
That sounded like a horrible experience! I’m glad that you are feeling better @MsTipps.

Has anybody else gotten lightheaded easier after surgery? I’m 25 days post-op and have noticed that I get lightheaded a lot easier if I stand up quickly or from a squatting position.

I have always been a big dude all my life. I have also always been the dude that works outside and never wore a jacket until it got below 40 degrees and was always hot even when the AC was spitting out popsicles. I am now 13 days post-op (down 20lbs btw) and have found myself to be unusually cold these past few days. My wife always complains of being cold when I was either comfortable or feeling a little to warm. Now she is looking at me like I am going crazy and turning into a weenie. A few of my compadres experienced being more sensitive to temperature, but this was after they had considerable weight loss. Has anybody else experienced a reversal in their temperature tolerances this early in the game?

Do you snack in between meals? Do you have 4-5 small meals throughout the day? Or, do you just have 3 meals a day?

Congratulations! I’m just now starting out ,17 days post-op. Started out at 369, surgery day I was 340 and today I am 317. It’s exciting seeing the clothes sizes change. change of subject... I’m assuming you are a firefighter, when we’re you able to resume your job duties? I am volunteer and was curious to see how long I can expect to being out of service.

For all of us with white tongues...
Tyson4834 replied to sleevedin2018's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had Thrush on my tongue, which is pretty common after a surgery. This is pretty much a yeast infection on your tongue. My PCP prescribed oral Nystatin to swish and spit (can be swallowed). You may want to ask for a second opinion. -
Who has BCBS and had to do the 6 month pre-op weight loss routine?
Tyson4834 replied to AK37's topic in Insurance & Financing
I have BCBS and also live in Kentucky. The 6 month wait was mandatory for me but I had to meet with my Nut once a month. The wait for me wasn't an issue as I found it to be very informative. It allowed me to ease into a better diet and relearn how to eat after the procedure. I wouldn't look at the 6 month wait as a "problem" but another tool to ensure your weight loss success. -
I am 8 days post-op. Since coming out of surgery I have been told to take in 30ml of liquids every 15 min to reach my goal of 64oz per day to stay hydrated. The first 2-3 days this was uncomfortable but doable. The next 2-3 this wasn't a problem and I found that 60ml wasn't uncomfortable. Yesterday and today I'm beginning to think that I mentally feel that I shouldn't increase the amount without speaking to my surgeon for fear of stretching or causing damage to my healing ouch. When did you increase fluid amount and intake frequency?
