    5 Day post op

One thing you might try is looking at the largest hospital in your region and see if they have a weight loss or weight management program. That's how I got started.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I had an episode last summer with intense discomfort. Everyone thought it was gall bladder, but both the ultrasound and the HIDA scan showed nothing wrong. My PCP put me on Nexium as a precaution in case I had reflux. We don't really know if I have reflux or not, but the surgeon decided not to take the risk in case I do. I'm actually really happy she took it out. Saves me a surgery down the road.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

I thought I was getting a sleeve on 1/4, but after arriving at the hospital and talking with my surgeon, I got the roux en y instead. She also took out my "funny looking" gallbladder. I was super groggy from the anesthesia so I didn't get to art walking until the next morning. But once I started moving there was no holding me back! I'm doing great with the liquids and walking. Gas hasn't been too terrible. I hurt more from the gallbladder removal than anything else.

    Any January 2018 Sleevers?

    January 4th! 9 days away!
  7. 2018 is our year!! We can do it! I'm looking forward to less joint pain and getting my face back, and lots of other things, of course. For the people not hungry on the liquid diet, good for you! I am less hungry as days go by. I'm back to work tomorrow, and wish I could stay home, but at least it will be a less intense week than usual.
  8. Too bad about your insurance, but it seems like lots of people go to Mexico for the surgery. I'm eating sugar free popsicles, too. Anything that will help.
  9. Yes, I have to work. I'm enjoying the days off with the holiday, though. I can have low sodium v8, and that's helping. So is decaf coffee. My preop diet is 5 shakes or soup per day with clear liquids in between. What's yours?
  10. Less so now than in the very beginning. But yeah, I'm hungry. I thought I would eat my arm at first.
  11. Relieved, excited, not nervous at all. I guess that will come closer to surgery time. Not loving the liquid diet, but I'll make it. How are you feeling?
  12. My surgery is January 4th. On day 4 of the 14 day liquid diet. Anyone else?
